  • Forty-sixth track day. Right back to thunderhill again this weekend.
Getting down to the last few cooler track days before the heat of the devils butthole scorches thunderhill. The last couple west days I ran had debris and water on track that made it tough to PB.
Finally had a clear track and was able to set a new personal best. 1.24.77.
Think I have hit the limit of what Kumho V730s are capable of. Could probably shave a couple tenths not tailing someone but this is roughly the pace possible on my current setup. Time to finally step up to the next level of tire.
I do have an extra level of confidence going into this event. The private drift event last weekend was absolutely the single most beneficial training possible. I tried tons of exercises and tested low/med/high speed car control in various conditions. I know exactly what the car wants to do in all scenarios. Cannot stress enough how amazing that event was.
First proper track event with the DJI OSMO 4 and MIC 2 setup. The latest firmware definitely did some good things. This was with the purple panda lav wired into the wireless mic.
Still very pleased with the efficiency of the setup. Several quality of life and usability tweaks that outclass the gopro.
Not many highlights for this event. Lots of clean, open lapping.
