Oh good grief😮. Are people that bone idle? So what if the Princess of Wales edited a picture of herself and the royal children? It is rediculous to make such a fuss over nothing.
My opinion of the Royals are that they self centered and live in fanasty land! They cannot even begin to know what normal people need!
My thoughts exactly, couldn’t care less. I get really annoyed when the majority cave in to the minority. So much happening in the world and they get all in a knot over nothing. I despair.

Yes, we all adjust our photos but they are not ordinary people. That photo was released officially after what many people considered unusual secrecy over Catherine's illness which brings extra scrutiny.

Looking forward to photos from the Honor dinner hosted by Their Majesties King Frederik and Queen Mary. Queen Mary and King Frederik looking great at their other engagements today. I hope Queen Mary's meeting means she will remain patron of UNFPA and Maternity Foundation. She's done wonderful work in DK and abroad with both organizations. Plus, they are very much in line with her own foundation's work.

What a bloody ridiculous fuss over that photograph. A storm in a tea cup! Honestly, the amount of coverage is ridiculous, not only that but it is such poor taste. Wish they’d leave Catherine alone to heal.

I was disappointed not to see photos of the Danish Medal Gala Dinner. I was wondering what tiara Mary would wear now she has unfettered access to the jewellery vaults, especially as the dinner is on home soil. Not all of Denmark’s jewels can be worn outside Denmark. I’ll look forward to seeing them tomorrow.

The six most reputable photo agencies recalled the photo because as news organizations, they have strict rules prohibiting the distribution of doctored photos. In an age of fake news and AI we should be heartened by their scrupulous adherence to this principle. Clearly the Princess of Wales was unaware of the rules that govern dissemination of photos to news agencies. It's a shame she didn't receive guidance from her press team. Wishing Catherine a speedy and full recovery.

About The Princess of Wales, I think the main issue was not the editing per se. A lot of people were specutating that the Princess was not in the picture at all and her image was inserted via AI... Correct me if I'm wrong... A lot of people is adding their own 10 cents to this drama...
Of course they would. The palace was being unusually secretive about her illness and she was not seen or heard for weeks, then the obviously doctored photo appeared. The palace should have realized that they are no ordinary family and that there is huge public interest in their lives. Instead of quelling the rumours about her illness, it has made the matter far worse.
Gorgeous pic of the Wales family. This is not about the photo, this is about wanting to know whats wrong with her... health wise. If photo shopped was the issue then Henry & Rachel would never get anything published imo..

Alexandra, your reaction to all the fuss over the photo from Catherine, Princess of Wales was the most honest I have heard. So much fuss over nothing. Dear Catherine even apologised and still everyone is calling for her head. Can't they simply understand that she is still recovering from quite intrusive surgery that will take much time to recover from? Despite the Palace calling for privacy over what was done, so many delusionally think they have a right to know just what procedure she underwent. Have they no concept that their youngest child is most likely having trouble comprehending his mother's condition? The children have not long lost both grandparents in Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and could be secretly wondering if they could possibly loose their mother too. This must be a traumatising time for them and no-one has the right to know Catherine's personal health matters. It was already out of hand after the Palace asked yet again for privacy. This is definitely not helping the Princess recover with all of this fuss. I can understand why she felt that releasing a photo may help, yet a photo isn't what the media and public want. They still are obsessed with what procedure she underwent and will not accept any less. Is it really the end of life as we know it if we never find out what was done? Of course not. I too have undergone very serious abdominal surgery which took me a year to recover from and will always live with the affects of this for the rest of my life. When Catherine is well enough to get back to light duties, I can only hope that everyone is grateful that she is back and simply get on with their own lives. Wishing Catherine a speedy recovery and sending prayers for her family too.

The British et al make a fuss about anything to do with their royals, Usually it is to make insulting comments about queen Camilla and others.
The AP RARELY issues “kill” orders for photos. Your take on this situation is completely wrong. The work with this photo does beyond editing for blemishes, etc.
It's ridiculous the way the people are going on about photo editing 🙈 the only funny thing is the princess is a patron of the photography society, which doesn't like editing or ai photos. But personally everyone edits that hasn't got the world watching so i can't blame the Princess for editing anyways who else has to worry about putting a photo out when there recovering from major surgery give the lady a break.
And the only reason she did was to dispel conspiracy theories, unfortunately, this created more.
I rarely hear you make editorial comments about the royal news you present. I respectfully disagree with you on the controversy surrounding Princess Catherine's Mother's Day photo. Had this been a lovely Christmas card or birthday celebration for one of her children, I would not have expected the AP and/or Reuters to object to photo editing. However, this photo was released during the princess' weeks-long recovery from serious abdominal surgery, and it was the first official image the public was to see of her since Christmas Day at Sandringham. I must admit that I was truly shocked to hear of the kill notification issued by these news outlets, but in the dawn of artificial intelligence and "deep fakes" it is more important than ever for these reputable news agencies to ensure integrity in the news. Whay else would these news outlets risk harming their hard-earned reputation for a lovely Mother's Day greeting? It makes me wonder if the PR Department of Kensington Palace now realizes that Queen Elizabeth's famous motto never complain, never explain is wise advice to follow? I hope they will now allow Princess Catherine to resume her planned recovery in peace and celebrate her return to public duties after Easter. They need to stop being baited into a response to a question they have already addressed about the princess' health.
P.S. Also, shame on the mainstream media for reporting on what amounts to salacious gossip on social media instead of focusing their news coverage on important matters such as wars raging in Ukraine and Gaza with people dying amidst a humanitarian crisis. I optimistically pray for peace, healing, tolerance and understanding in the world with better days ahead.

I’m not a particular fan of the Sussex’s but what bothers me about the Wales fans dismissing this photoshopping and acting like it’s no big deal is that if it was the Sussex’s who had done it a HuGE deal would have been made of it. Personal bias is being shown here. Bottom line whomever photoshopped the photo should have known better when it’s released officially.
