I don’t have kids, but once I had to ask a friend/colleague to water my plants while I was out of town. I HATED it and was so apologetic. She was about 20 years older than me and told me that one way friendships and relationships deepen is through helping each other out. It stuck with me and while I still have a hard time asking, I really do think it’s true and try to keep it in mind.

This video really hit home for me and I'm not a mom, so I can only imagine how you are feeling day-to-day. I struggle with ADHD as well and cannot for the life of me ask for help, even when I so desperately need it. I've been especially struggling the last few months and have been feeling just this paralysis from getting things done. It's so tough. I feel you and I'm so appreciative that you shared this little slice of your life with us 💞

Being a new mom is a huge adjustment for everyone but mainly the mom. It doesnt hurt to ask for help but I never trusted anyone to watch my kids except my mom until they got older and could talk and let me know if things werent right. That was many years ago but dont feel bad for needing to find you again. I know right now seems like an eternity but time really does fly by so fast. soon you will look back when she starts school and realize how fast the time does go bye.

It can be soo hard to ask for help. I am keeping the time thing in mind for sure - especially in those difficult times. This is such a short period and I know I’ll miss it so much!

Nice chat and chores 💚🌱 my 2 girls are early 20s now but still struggle having control and finding what I like to do but I have tons of time to figure that out. Kids are wonderful.

    Hi Becca feel better soon!!
I know how it feels not to have time for yourself ,but i think having Nora home is a better option, she will be getting germs often and all of you will get sick,by having some control on her health it will balance by feeling strong healthier and probably with more time available, dont think too much about what you can not do,
focus in what you do even if it feels is not enough, baby steps will get you there.
My daughter is 29 now my son is 31,it was hard ,but still the years went very fast....
Try to appreciate all you do and enjoy ,some days will be better than others but keep positive.
You will find the balance ,to get some of your hobbies done, when she goes in a playpan with toys you will have the chance to do things, nap, read
,etc ..just sharing with you the easier option for now,you may not agree with any of it, but i do think you will be fine at the end with no regrets, and if you need to ask ,do ask for help ...
You are such a mature person for your age ,
I have watch you grow for the last 3 years ,i think you need to be proud of the person you are .✨
Take care Becca, you got this 👪
    💚🌿🍀🌵💚

One of my dear coworkers recently became an “empty nester”. Through tears she told me, do not lose yourself in motherhood. Continue working on your craft, your interests, yourself. To do this, you need childcare and to lean on your partner and friends and family, because you can’t do it alone.
I can tell you’re a wonderful mother to Nora. ❤ You’re doing great job, Becca.

Becca!! This talk really hit!!! I'm not a mom but I have farm animals, a dog, a farm, side businesses, and 300+ plants. I also constantly feel like I need to constantly be in control and be productive or else I'll feel horrible about myself. Ugh it's a bad cycle and I felt it this month too. I appreciate this and your openness. This made me feel less crazy lol

Hi! Don't be too hard on yourself, it's a big exhausting job being a Mom of little kids, especially when illness hits! I was really struggling when my 2 girls were little and I was a stay at home Mom. My mental health wasn't good at that time because I had no help either. What helped me was joining a Mother's group and was able to talk with Moms in the same situation I was in! Plus hiring baby sitters once in a while to get a break. You are doing a great job Becca, and it will get easier in time! ❤❤

Yess!! Thank you so much. I go to a mom group every Friday but have had to miss it for almost a month due to illness haha. It is so nice to sit and chat with other mommas!

Sometimes the most tedious tasks just drain all available energy (your sorting of your jewelry). And peep your cabinets! They look so good! And butter and jam on toast has been a favorite of mine since childhood!!!

Lil tip buy a small like travel size of Vas. and drop a little of your fav perfume in it and stir then rub a small amount at your wrists and it makes the scent last so much longer.

For your jewelry storage, have you thought about using a pin per necklace to secure them at one end? And if you don't wanna damage the cushions, maybe see if it's possible to create a small tab for each necklace you can try to tuck at one of the edges, to secure them? 🤷‍♀

    • @BeccaDeLaCreations
      @BeccaDeLaCreations  4 місяці тому +1

That’s a great idea!! It would be nice to have some way to secure them.. stay tuned 😅

My son contracted RSV at 3 weeks old from my husband who contracted it from work. I was the scariest thing I encountered as a fresh 1st time mom. We spent 1 night in the hospital. We were so lucky he had such a mild case and it was during covid so I had to fight to prove it wasn't covid. RSV is no joke and I am a HUGE fighter for don't kiss new babies. RSV lasted so long for us. that was 2 years ago now and I have a daredevil 2 year old lol

It was a wild ride! 1st time motherhood was not kind to me lol we also found out he had a hole in his heart (thankfully closed on it's own) during the whole RSV issue. You would not be able to tell today, he's wild and happy ❤@@BeccaDeLaCreations

In general for skincare, you should apply water based products first and follow with the heaviest. Treatments of similar viscosity should be applied in order of need.
