Thank you for the kind words! That info section helps people to find specific ships of their interest and also let's me keep track of vessels that I've filmed. It does take a while to prepare but I enjoy ship researching so it's fun :)
Never noticed Russian subs in your vids before. The C130 and the close up head on shot of the Applelon were super. This made up for your long absence of the IST straight. Most excellent work as usual.

I am amazed by the number of ships that do not take the time to put up a Turkish as a courtesy to the country thru which they are sailing...Outrageous! I was in Turkey 1957 thru 1958. My son was here in 2012. Amazing how things change. I suppose that is better but I think Erdogan is acting more like a king. Ataturk is my favorite Turkish man.

as you can guess with the speed of the smoke and the shape of the funnel, this ship is powered with gas turbines and not diesel engines. Smoke is normal.You can hear the turbines at 17'00"
Hi, the answer is both :) the first scene with Vladimir Tikhonov for example is filmed from Asian side on the east while higher angle shots like at 16:08 are from European side of the city

When it says "no smoking" it means that you can't smoke a cigarette while on board that ship.
