First time Tushishvili and Riner met is the one that went into golden score with Tushishvili almost scoring with Deashi (2017 World Championships), second time was same year open weight world championships, that's where Riner got 2 scores, and at club Championships Tushishvili caught him with counter in 2022. I think Riner is really going to struggle here if Tushishvili shows up at his best.

Used for the Gym competition. The Judo venue is a temporary hall meant to host the exhibitions of the Grand Palais which was renovated for the Fencing competition.
The arena will be dismantled at the end of the year.

Poor Puumalainen, but that's the name of the game. There's no easy pass to medals in these pools, you really have to take down tough guys to make it. But I think he still has one olympic cycle left in him to develop his competition skills.

I was just in Japan and got the top of the line Mizuno Judogi for competition from the Mizuno flagship store in Tokyo. $192.00 USD (US Dollars) Even though I have a Blue and white Kusakura Gi’s.
Most of the (Japanese) competitors you see are from companies who sponsor them because it's so expensive to compete.
