Thank you thank you so much for the tip about getting the tickets. I am thinking of planning a trip, solo trip, and realized so many things require a reservation (from some bars, some cafes and of course grabbing the ghibli tickets that are released on the 10th) I tend to just wing it and walk around when I travel, so I’m looking to make some reservations and then walk around those areas ❤
Honestly Ghibli tickets are probably the only things that needs super advanced reservations haha. Everything else is pretty easy to do on the ground, there's sooo many good eats and activities if your first choice doesn't work out!
i've been dreaming of going to this place for the longest time and finally have the chance when i return to japan this summer !! thank u for the vid, this makes me so excited to go :))
absolutely obsessed with everything at Ghibli Park 🥹🥹 sad to see the adventure is over! also I'm so curious, do you film in log or any other colour profile?
New follower here. This vlog was so fun and relaxing! Making me want to go to Japan to explore my heritage and of course all the cute locations and parks.
I live near the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka. I'm from Nagoya. Very nice! Very fun! I was in a daze this morning, but I felt refreshed. As a Ghibli fan, this content made me very happy. Thank you very much 👍 Have a wonderful day 🙋♂🙆♀
Do you know what the restaurant you went to was called? I'm planning to go to the Ghibli Park in June. It seems like it would be fun to also eat there after my visit
hello, i was wondering if they checked whether the name registered on your tickets, matched the ones on your passports. i missed my chance of buying the ticket 2 months ahead and now i'm considering whether to buy from a reseller. if they are no ID checks at the ghibli warehouse or in any of the areas whatsoever, i can get away with the resold tickets
I can tell you that in Ghibli museum(Mitaka) they always ask for your name to see if it matches the ticket but they never ask for your ID or passport. Sadly, Idont know about ghibli park so i cant help you
could you please tell how to buy the tickets or how to contact the person you go to help buy the tickets? aha . Going to Japan soon and would love to go there!!
Been to the ghibli musuem And many ghibli stores all over Japan and in Korea But honestly, after watching his last film in Shinjuku at the toho cinema I'm kinda ghiblied out I really didn't like that film 😅 I watched it twice in theaters it was me But nah many people agree it wasn't good
Studio Ghibli films have been a major part of my life and is my number 1 favorite animation house ever. With that said I went to Ghibli Park and was absolutely ASTOUNDED by how boring, uninspired, and lacking Ghibli Park is. Worst ticketing system EVER. It's the first red flag of the whole experience. Upon entering it's the silence that first hits. There's a reason theme parks have at least some sort of music going on. The whole experience feels dead without it. So bring your own headphones and listen to Joe Hisaishi's music while at the park because it will NOT get better if you don't. You can take pictures of and instagram-shots in the main sites, eat at the limited (not even all that great) food court options, and LITERALLY nothing else. I noticed that an overwhelming majority of the kids here with their parents were also complaining quite a LOT. I lost count of how often I was hearing (in Japanese of courser) kids say "Can we go home?" "I'm tired." And even, yes, I kid you not "I'm bored." and I have to admit I agreed with the kids. The only things the kids seemed to enjoy were the shops where their parents can buy them overpriced tchotchkes galore. A shame, I was really expecting so much more, but "Ghibli Park" is nothing more than a bigger "Ghibli Museum" which itself is overrated to high heaven as it already is. I guess Studio Ghibli is best experienced at the movie theater and on TV as nothing outside of those mediums has been "good" much less "great." Don't believe me, just look at their own hometown locals on what they think about the park in their own home country. The reviews are starkly divided into love it or hate it experiences. Their movies are still the best of the best though. That doesn't change.
Honestly I agree with a lot of this! But I remember reading somewhere that the intention was to be "anti-disney" and more experiential than entertainment, so I get what they're going for. It just feels very meh right now while they're still building out some key experiences (pretty sure Witches Valley is the largest part and it's only just opening), plus the fact that I went on a rainy day when it's supposed to be a "chill and picnic" type of area. But yes, I wish they would've done more. It feels like more of a photos-and-cash-grab than a genuine tribute to the films. :/
@@WesleyAnna In the Anti-Disney approach, I totally support the idea of that. As Disneyland is way over expensive and the crowd culture is way too much for me. There is a way to do that successfully. Right now as it stands, there's MAJOR improvement that needs to be made at Ghibli Park. They desperately need more things for guests to do, ESPECIALLY for children. I can only imagine what it must have been like on a rainy day. Kinda would feel even more limiting. I plan to go back in about 5 years and maybe see what new things they have learned and hopefully can make the experience for fun. Because I LOVE Studio Ghibli and I REALLY want to enjoy this park more than I currently do. I still have hope though! Thanks for your video too. I'm now subscribing! :)
I wouldn’t say that a store automatically equals waste. Senseless consumerism has more to do with the person buying IMO. If you buy a Totoro shirt and treasure it forever, that’s different from going on a shopping spree and impulse buying a bunch of crap you’ll never use or appreciate. That being said, it does make me a lil sad that 50% of the park was dedicated to buying things 🥲😭

always bittersweet at the end of an era but happy to be back in NY as well
Did you visit the park in March? What were the temperatures like? Planning to visit in December and I'm not sure what to wear😅

Omg l want to go to Japan now am such a ghibli fan and watching this video it so beautiful and amazing❤😮😊
It helps if you are able to read chinese characters which is similar to kanji. That will be less stressful to navigate through the train station.
Hi just want to ask if ghibli park will take the whole day? or just half day?
This looks amazing ❤
Nagoya was my home for a year ❤ I love the ghibli park! Got to go twice and still didn’t see everything. Can’t wait to go back someday :)
I need to go back once it's all built out!!
Hello! Which one would you recommend the most? The park or the museum?
I thought the museum was WAY better
would love to visit this someday!
No rush since a lot of it is still being built 😊 hope you get to come one day!
@@WesleyAnnaso i’ve heard! Hopefully a lot has been added by the time I visit there ❤
One of the cutest parks in Nagoya, Japan ❤❤❤❤
yes! just feels a lil empty at the moment, can't wait to see how it grows
How do they keep those displays from getting dusty? Is it fans or do people go in a wipe them off.
I'm sure they have tons of people work on it :)
Hii can I ask who is the guy who help you with the tickets? I found one but Im not sure its the same
Seann!
Thank you for coming to Japan!
What day of the week did you go on? Since it looked less crowded.
I think it was a Thursday!
The month might matter too. She's all scared up so I assume it was colder weather.
How long did it take to get to ghibli park from osaka? I;m making plans for november and am trying to take a daytrip from kyoto to ghibli park.
It’s about 2 hrs since there’s so many transfers, but if you’re starting at Osaka station may be a bit shorter
Hi,
Just wondering after going to the park, how many hours you feel we would need for the WHOLE park?
The whole day for sure
Do you know what the restaurant you went to was called? I'm planning to go to the Ghibli Park in June. It seems like it would be fun to also eat there after my visit
Daruma :) but I thought this place was ok, honestly you can find local miso specialities in tons of places in Nagoya!

I used Seann on Fiverr! www.fiverr.com/seann_e/purchase-tickets-for-museums-concerts-and-events-in-japan
Japan is amazing 🙂
Agreed!!!
Why did you have to hire someone to get the tickets ?
Is ghibli park tickets as hard as get like ghibli museum ?
yes it's very similar to ghibli museum process, although the park's warehouse tends to have more openings
Can you use suica card ?
For transportation yes!
I have two tickets to give away for 1st of may. I will not be able to make it.

Totally valid! It's not for everyone. I love Ghibli but don't love every single film. :)

Did you see alot of sumo wrestlers over there and were you stuffed with noodles?
I actually did see a sumo wrestler attending a Japanese pro wrestling event as a guest! 🫡 and ofc, very stuffed with all the fooooood
chihiro ogino? Who's she?
The main character from spirited away :)
If you don't speak Japanese, do you just point and nod your head? When my mom went there, that's what happened. Lmao! 😂
But aren’t Ghibli films usually preaching against consumerism and material waste? And yet this is like a big gift shop
I wouldn’t say that a store automatically equals waste. Senseless consumerism has more to do with the person buying IMO. If you buy a Totoro shirt and treasure it forever, that’s different from going on a shopping spree and impulse buying a bunch of crap you’ll never use or appreciate.

How is having a gift shop means automatically waste?you can't keep your stuff without wasting them?!
Plus lots of producs selling at Ghibli shops are designed by small artists, specially cloth stuff like t shirts
