Very useful and detailed video, thank you for sharing, a few hour ago I bought my tickets. For anyone wondering, you can use your own personal phone number, I’ve used my Mexican phone number and it worked as normal you don’t need a Japanese phone don’t worry. The Japan Address can be the place you’re staying, I used the address from my Airbnb booked near the park, it doesn’t go trough any verification so it doesn’t have to be 100% specific, I was worried about the format but it’s kind of a free format adress so I pasted as it is on the Airbnb info. And last, I did not have any problem with my card, I used a Travel Visa credit card, during the payment the site opens your bank page and they send a verification code and that’s it :) Good luck everyone! 🎉❤
HI! My gosh, cannot express how thankful I am! Thanks to your video I've been able to buy them, I've followed all your steps (a lot of papers with all the info at my desk right now xDD) I had my laptop, the tablet and my mobile (finally that was the choosen one) and I was 4th at queue and my hands were shaking because I was freaking out. Now I can go to work happy and relaxed till the next tickets reservation (Ghibli museum, kirby cafe...), just let me say THANK YOU a lot, have a nice day and kind regards from Catalonia xoxo
super super useful! i followed the advice and got the tickets on the day and time we wanted. things have updated for this for 2024, more time slots are available, but info is still valid. practice ahead of time to see the process. make sure credit card company doesn't block u for fraud alert. good luck!
Hi! Have you been there already? I want to book tickets for September but they're not available yet so I'm checking videos to know what to expect. It seems like now you only get an assigned time slot for the warehouse as it says on their website "You can enter all five areas with this pass. This pass will only have an assigned entrance time for Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse". If that's true, it makes things much easier. I like to walk around an explore without the added stress of "I have to be there at X hour and then there at Y hour" 😅 The process to buy the ticket also seems to be more foreigner friendly this year.. idk if that's true as I haven't got the chance to do it yet, but it seems like it was way more complicated until recently.
Thank you so much for this video! I just bought my tickets and was able to get the exact day and time I wanted. I only had to wait 15min in the queue 😊 Just one update since you released this video, now you can only purchase tickets 2 months in advance (not 3). And one thing that got me confused, for the address field it took me a while to realize that I should’ve typed without any commas or dashes.
Omg you saved my bacon. I leave for Tokyo on Saturday and stumbled on your video. I managed to book tickets to Ghibli park but didn’t print them out! When you mentioned you needed a QR code per person per region of the park, I checked and found out I didn’t print them. Thank you for saving my vacation!
I woke up about 6 hours after the the sale and somehow managed to get some of the last tickets for the date we needed! Thank you for the schedule , so useful but I’m still figuring out how to fit in the new valley of the witches (going on the day it opens)
found this video the evening before and I couldn't be more grateful to you! it was a breeze, secured my preferred date and time slot instantly! couldn't recommend the multiple devices tip more, laptop took an hour to go through and my phone when through instantly when the tickets dropped!! thank you again, so so much
6 hours to go. Pleeeeease don’t let me mess this up!! Update: I came overly prepared with three devices and got premium passes with little to no issue.
Thank you so much for making this video! the most awesome and useful part of the video was the "use as many devices as you can " when doing the queue. I used 6 devices and all of them had different numbers in the queue, the max was 14,000 and the lowest was 5,000 it was in this one (a PC) that we were able to buy the tickets in the date and time we needed ♥ ♥♥Thank you :3
Great video. Heading to Japan for 30 days for the Sakura season and will be visiting Ghibli Park in April so I will get to see the Valley of Witches as well.
@@Vmtdj6848 Spent the entire day at the park and visited all 5 areas. Was it interesting?...Yes. Will I go there again?...No. Photography and videography are prohibited in a lot of areas, yet they allow people to touch everything.
this was super helpful! thank you for making this video! i was able to get our tickets!!!! i had 2 computers, an ipad, and my phone. my phone was the one that won the tickets!!!
This video is so informative and spot on. We followed all the steps and beat Lawson's ticketing system :) We have tickets to all sections of the park on our nominated date, which also happens to be the last day before shutting down for the month to prepare for Valley of the Witches. Thanks so much. Tim + Aly
Thank you for this very informative and concise video! I am just wondering about the "group leader" passport... how about if I am to enter the park alone? or do they allow only people who come in groups?
Hi! you mentioned in the video that tickets go on sale 3 months in advance. I am going in April 2024, however when i checked the international ticketing website, only March will be on sale on 10th Jan 24. Did they change the system to two months in advance instead of three? Thank you for your tips!
Great video. On the website, what is the Ghibli Park O-Sanpo Day Pass. Does that pass just let you in the area? Do you still need to get timed entry tickets to enter the buildings in that area?
Thank you so much for this video, i just bought the last 3 tickets for my date in january thanks to this... i was going crazy with that complicated website
Heya there! Thanks for the video, really informative. I've got a question that I've tried finding everywhere but couldn't seem to get a good answer to: Do we need to create a Lawson member account to book these tickets? I'm trying to register for an account beforehand but it seems like they want a name in Kanji with a Japanese number and address. Or is it not necessary? I.e. we can just get in the queue and purchase as per your video without needing to create any accounts Thank you in advance for your help!
So if you want to go to all of the attractions, do you have to buy tickets for each part of the park? Or is it a 'one ticket for everything' kind of thing?
Many thanks for this video, just a quick question: what should you enter in box 4 (when purchasing adults or children please enter identification number on your disability certificate). Do I have to enter the passport numbers of my husband and my daughter as well as their names?
I bought premium access but at 2PM. At site said that 2PM is only for grand warehouse only. So we could see the other park before 2PM for example in the morning?
There is also going to be another area called the valley of Witches? Where would you suggest adding that in the schedule? I'm planning to visit in April
I just tried today exactly at Japan time however when I went thought, it didn’t load the calendar for me. It read as “error” I was so sad bc I was #42 in queue. Turns out it’s bc google chrome sucks and now I’m on safari but my tickets are sold out… Note: im on safari and tried to get a different ticket but when I get to the payment selection, it won’t let me click on “credit card” (it was stuck on pay pay) so I couldn't even check out... Sad day
Your video is SO helpful! Thank you so much for relieving my stress. Question: Would I need to be buying my tickets a day before the 10th since Japan is ahead?
Great question! Tickets go on sale at 2 PM *Japan time* on the 10th, so you'll definitely need to calculate what that is for your local time zone. (Google can usually do this with a quick search, or you can use a tool like worldtimebuddy.) For me, yeah, that was late in the evening on the 9th. Hope that helps!
You do need to provide the address you'll be staying at while in Japan in order to complete the order process...but since it's just a free text field, I'm highly skeptical that this is used for anything. (Can you imagine trying to confirm the addresses of the thousands of visitors every day?) No promises, but I personally wouldn't worry about it too much.
So every card me and me group puts onto what website gets denied no matter if we approve of it or let our banks know it's not fraud it will NOT work no matter what can anyone help me please
Japanese ticket systems are mental. Quite a few places that work like that or lotteries. Luckily for some reason seems like Grand Warehous + Monoke isn't as popular as the other 2 so was eaay to score a ticket for December. Pitty Forest was sold out super fast.
Loved the video coz great idea on food and Mononoke but want to ask have you visited Mononoke as per your recommended time at 9am open? Just want to make sure there's no lost in translation and how much time did you end up spending at Mononoke? Thanks!
Hey, thanks for watching! Mononoke Village isn't open for visitors yet, but I've checked this information on both the Japanese and English websites and I'll be visiting the area just as soon as it opens in November. If I run into surprises I'll absolutely update this!
You can, but I'd truly recommend staying over in Nagoya if you're planning to spend the full day at Ghibli Park. I was completely wiped at the end of my visit: I can't imagine adding 5 hours of train travel to the day would improve things!
This is really helpful! Took down lots of notes for our trip next year. Thank you! Btw how do we buy tickets for hill of youth and dondoko forest? Will it be available after purchasing the grand warehouse?
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful! The "Return to Ticket Page" button I mention at 08:20 is what you want to look for in order to buy tickets to the other areas without re-queueing. But also, based on your question, I'd actually suggest you purchase tickets for Dondoko Forest and/or Hill of Youth before Grand Warehouse. The Grand Warehouse has more capacity because it's a larger area, so it's the least likely to sell out quickly. Hope that makes sense and helps you get the tickets you need!
Correct, there is no "cart" function, but if you follow my suggestion for using the "Return to Ticket Page" button you should be able to quickly buy them one after another!
Hey there! You do need to provide an address to book, but it's a free-text field. If you have another hotel you've already confirmed, that's probably going to be fine. (You didn't ask, but I would recommend being careful booking hotels that close to the date of your stay: things book up really quickly in Japan!) The 4-digit code is unrelated to the address but yes, you will need to provide one of those as well. Just make something up that you can remember, same as a debit card pin number.
OMG, I am so sorry, I used your tips for my trip but never thanked you. (I actually wrote the comment but never pressed the button.) 🥲 Thanks a ton for your tips. It was great and useful for my journey.
