i like how remake tracks stopped being just ports or HD versions of ports but became full blown reimagined from scratch tracks like nintendo does.
The Premiere was a joy to watch! Top 3 is something i really didnt expect but im glad you enjoyed my track that much. Snikis new track is outstanding tho and a milestone for what can be achieved in a custom track, definitely worth the number one spot.

How do we not have Wiggler Wetlands in CTPG yet? It looks so cool! Considering I'm up to the Mushroom Cup and I already think these tracks are incredible I can only imagine how good the further tracks are. 2021 was an amazing year for CT's and I'm excited to see what comes in 2022.
if I had my two cents, wiggler wetlands is massively overscaled and doesn't have many gripping gameplay elements. the visuals are outstanding through

9:23 Bruh I feel dumb. I've seen this track shown off before, and I was so confused as to why the top routes were even there except for exploration. They're clearly longer! Just now realizing the water rises (as the name would imply) making the lower paths unavailable.

Although, I'm surprised Verdant Wilds didn't make the list. I was wondering if I could get a reading on that?
I compiled this list about 3 or 4 different times, and when I was trying to rank the tracks the first time, I actually had that track in. I just felt like the track didn't quite make it onto the list. I needed to go through hundreds of tracks. (Even tracks that weren't even on the wiki.)

Funny how this was uploaded on the day that I downloaded MKwii CTGP, coincidence?
One aspect of track design that I feel often gets overlooked by a lot of creators is readability. Keep in mind I am not a creator and I don't play custom tracks myself, this is just a critique from an outside perspective. A track should be easy to follow from beginning to end. Relying on arrows alone to let racers know where to go isn't enough in most cases, the terrain and design of the course itself should be easy to read, regardless of experience. In particular, distinguishing between on-road and off-road, being able to see at least one turn or bump ahead, and if you do use arrows, making them stand out while not feeling out of place, and making sure the racers don't get confused by too many arrows on screen at once. Also, minimizing distractions. Sure, more detailed courses look pretty, but they can sometimes be a bit too cluttered and make the path unclear. Musical Cliff and especially Fungal Forest are two tracks on this list that I feel succeed in being easily readable the whole way through. Even though I have never driven them and there was no minimap, I knew exactly what the next step was at all times. I wish there were more courses like that, though I can imagine it could be a lot more work than it seems
