The music choices are incredible! This is very unique, intriguing, and very unusual for a hotel. I love the room, it is just stunning, very special and understated but inviting.
Just found your channel and I love it! Excellent video presentation & narration along with informative content (great sense of humor too!) --- Thank you for all effort you put into it!
Hahahaha how the entire mood of the video changed when the techno started playing from the smooth traditional Indian sound. Amazing how much impact music makes. 22:51
U should definitely check out the ski resorts in Kashmir . Although not sure if that’s up to your level but truthfully I just wanna devour everything that I can’t physically at this time , through your lens. As always lovely . 👍
Again, such a great and detailed review. Totally agreed with everything you said. The rate I think is reasonable for such a beautiful Fort hotel. Cheers !
@siddharthgopinath4460 tbh I still don’t fully understand it. Basically, when checking in they took a deposit as normal, but they ran the transaction in dollars (unbeknownst to me). On checkout, they couldn’t release the deposit bc it was in dollars… refused to leave until it was released, waited 25 mins and then it was done. Didn’t make a big deal of it in the video bc still now I’m not sure if it was a legit thing, a scam or just a misunderstanding.
Beautiful decor and well restored fort. Neemrana for just under 2 hours from Delhi towards Jaipur is also a great renovated/restored fort. I somehow prefer the non-generic boutique hotel forts. Some great ones around in Rajasthan. Enjoyed your video.
I Stayed in This Hotel during Sagai (Engagement) Ceremony of my Friend. My opinions about it were pretty much the same also when we visited we had to postpone the event to next day beacause or Sandstorm. The Food was Nice as compared other Hotels out there ( Fells more Homely type ) . And yeah the Dark Corridors are bit spooky espicially when you return in mid night after party. But it also acted as a Deterrent against the Mischievous Kids in Family Function who constatly come Knock the Door and Run away those kids didn't disturbed us once we told them that the place is considered Haunted😂
Hard to make up my mind about this hotel…the location looks fabulous, but the dark corridors, maze like layout and some confined looking places, I think I would find it hard to feel comfortable there. The room looked nice though, although the ironing board behind the bathtub looked out of place 😅 Thank you for this very interesting review! Will probably watch again to get a better grasp of what the actual layout of the hotel is 😂
If driving between Delhi and Jaipur, it’s right on the way and makes for a nice stop. If not, there are definitely many who wouldn’t mind missing it. Thanks as always for watching 🩴
The Regal look of this fort resort is nice the architect has given his thoughts to space in the midst of boulders adjoin ing the rooms the limitations of his design is seen because of the contours of the old fort amalgamated into a solid rock foundation The Ambience of royalty is maintained well.Afew Rajasthani miniature paintings would have spruced up the simple beauty.of the rooms Some Rajastani brass ware based would have given a little bit of sophisticated vision to each room. I could not see a fire place in any room In the winter season cold wind from the desert area is a challenge to cope with for a tourist from the South of India on the whole this place looks silent peaceful calm and would opt it for a rest and relaxation for all categories of citizens.
Sure, I think that goes for most parts of the world. But in a bathroom with a huge exterior wall, with temperatures regularly over 45 degrees, I'd say the norm doesn't really work here.

That's a really tough question becuase in my mind I take the price range of the hotel into consideration- and frankly, none of them are all that consistent. For mid to premium five-star I'd probably go with: COMO, Belmond, Six Senses, Kimpton, Park Hyatt... but many of my absolute favorite hotels are not part of a larger brand.
This was most unusual but funny review. Forts were made for military mainly purpose. Often some of the major parts of any fort were designed so that if a invading force manage to breach the main entrance it still they find it difficult to negotiate the area and can be ambushed at different part. A hotel in fort is bit funny idea.😂😂😂
Agree, didn't mention it becuase as cringe as this would be, I'm not sure if it was intentional to match the 'old' looking facade of the lower portion.
Such an interesting property! My partner is almost blind so I reckon this wouldn't be one for us /sigh. (I'd love the place I think!) Shame about the service and "music". Great review!
Your next 5 videos as well the must watch score against them seemed to have changed from the last Indigo video. Wondering if that's intentional or a mistake.
From someone who spends 200 nights a year in hotels - Hyatt has got it completely wrong on the service front in all it's portfolio brands in India - Alila, Andaz, Regency to name a few. They don't have the rigorous structure of the premium Marriott brands or the flair and polish of the Oberoi.
To each their own. I can handle dark hallways myself but I’m not just talking about fit and able bodied guests. Overall, I think dangerous is a pretty generous word.
After seeing the udaipur tour...i am afraid what will happen to jaipur 😢 because udaipur hotels are world class as compared to jaipur and the best hotel is raffles which is new and high rating
The music choices are incredible! This is very unique, intriguing, and very unusual for a hotel. I love the room, it is just stunning, very special and understated but inviting.
Appreciate that! Hard to get the music right sometimes. Thanks for watching 🩴
Don't listen to that guy "culinarc". I honestly think this India series has been your best yet and I thoroughly enjoy each and every video.
Haha, I don't mind... after a couple decades in the restaurant business, my skin is quite thick 😅 Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Videos are well researched & informative !!
Thanks for watching 🩴
smiles, laughter and another brilliant review! loved the background music and the views!

Great video as always Kevin. I really appreciate the way you choose local music to match your videos. Makes it all seem more authentic.
Bloody fantastic episode! We are just so spoilt with amazing cinematography and narration. Kevin for POTUS 2024 !!
Noooooooo 😅 But thank you 🙏
That McDonald analogy had me laughing way too hard😂

Love it!

Agree that it was a decent rate, but it was (very) low season haha. Thanks for watching 🩴
Thanks for the reply !
Wanted to ask - you mentioned "weird USD/INR conversions" - what was this ?

@@tfft yeah that's weird. An email to Alila India or some corporate address might help ...

Same here. Thanks for watching 🩴

Enjoyed the review. The non-climate-controlled bathrooms are the way bathrooms are in most Indian homes (except for in 5-star hotels).
Sure, I think that goes for most parts of the world. But in a bathroom with a huge exterior wall, with temperatures regularly over 45 degrees, I'd say the norm doesn't really work here.

@tfft do to try Fairmont Jaipur as well
Video is coming in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching 🩴
I’ve heard you mention Alila is one of your favorite brands on several videos. Just out of curiosity, what are your top 5 hotel brands in order?
That's a really tough question becuase in my mind I take the price range of the hotel into consideration- and frankly, none of them are all that consistent. For mid to premium five-star I'd probably go with: COMO, Belmond, Six Senses, Kimpton, Park Hyatt... but many of my absolute favorite hotels are not part of a larger brand.
Please visit JW Marriott Missouri
...why? 😂
This was most unusual but funny review.

A hotel in fort is bit funny idea.😂😂😂
Wait until you see another fort in Saturday's video lol.
Please visit Oberoi “Vanya Villas” Ranthambore
I'll take a look! Thanks for watching 🩴
must visit to six senses fort Barwara it"s a beautiful property located near Jaipur
You should check out next weeks video in my description 😉
This property would've been better if it was acquired by the Taj group. Taj does a fantastic job in India with historical sites.
Perhaps, but I think the Taj vibe would be too formal for this location. Thanks for watching 🩴
Will you feature Villa Palladio in Jaipur at some point??
Not on this trip! Thanks for watching 🩴
McDonald's 😂
Awesome video Kevin with good humour 👍

Seems like the building facade needed at least a “lick of paint” especially on the walls by the restaurant you dined at
Agree, didn't mention it becuase as cringe as this would be, I'm not sure if it was intentional to match the 'old' looking facade of the lower portion.
Such an interesting property! My partner is almost blind so I reckon this wouldn't be one for us /sigh. (I'd love the place I think!) Shame about the service and "music". Great review!

Yes, the order of the videos and the extra 🩴 for Six Senses was intentional. Thanks for watching 🩴
What is to be done after check in i mean activities?
Are we gonna be having a umaid bhawan palace tour anytime soon?
Not on this trip! Thanks for watching 🩴
From all the bottled water near the bathroom vanities would I be correct to assume that you can’t drink the tap water in India?
From someone who spends 200 nights a year in hotels - Hyatt has got it completely wrong on the service front in all it's portfolio brands in India - Alila, Andaz, Regency to name a few. They don't have the rigorous structure of the premium Marriott brands or the flair and polish of the Oberoi.
I agree Hyatt could do a lot better, but anecdotally I was not at all a fan of ITC. Thanks for watching 🩴
Agree - that's why mentioned Oberoi and Marriott only (Taj to a certain extent). ITC is a Bonvoy member in name only! Love the videos!@@tfft
Thank you, I am inspired

If you could guess what could be the occupancy rate when you visited. Do you prefer to stay at low occupancy nights or high occupancy nights😅
It definitly wasn't too high. I prefer low as it makes filming easier, but not too low that it gets awkward lol.
Bro there is also bhanghar fort which is Asia no 1 horror place few km away from this place 💀
The term ‘dangerous hallways’ is a bit inappropriate. I’ve been to this fort and walking down late night or morning was never a problem. Cheers
There’s absolutely no indication of that from me lol.
This is NOT a Bombay Motel 6! Naaaahhhhhhht!
Now that I've stated the obvious, if Gucci made Flip Flops this hotel would be Gucci! Fair dinkim Kev!
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
