This was like watching a documentary…a landmark, a palace, a hotel, a museum….you’ve raised the bar again. Thank you for this exceptional review and cinematic feast for the eyes 🙏🏼🦚
Hi Kevin, I also found this hotel quite exceptional, as well. I arrived with a tour group at the garden restaurant for dinner. We were met by staff riding horses and 4 elephants, a dance troupe and musicians, and escorted in a procession to the entrance. We had a buffet on the lawn, where there was a live show and musicians while we ate our dinner. A memory we will never forget. Thankyou for your exquisite video.
As a child in the mid seventies I learned swimming at Rambagh’s pool and even back then, I couldn’t deny the stunning beauty and the grandeur of this palace. I have made my way back once or twice in the past 20 years and I must admit that your Rajasthan hotel reviews just hit the spot for me. Much appreciated.
The fact that this man makes all these videos with only an iPhone just shows how much important narration, storytelling and editing is to grow an UA-cam channel and camera doesn’t really matter
Kevin, Thank you so much for letting me live through my memories at Rambagh Palace, which I visited with my late dad when I was 10 years old. I remember the vast gardens, gazillions of peacocks, and many fountains throughout the courtyard. I also remember a room that we were allowed to visit during our stay, forgetting the name now, which was not usually rented out to guests, that was the queen's room (I really forgot the details), but it was massive and had a fountain inside the room. My 10-year-old brain was awestruck with a sagging jaw. I also remember taking the buggy ride. What I love about the palace, and Taj Hotels, is the little minute details that are so specific to the property itself, and YOUR attention to those details that makes each of your episodes so fun to watch, and memorable. Thanks again.
I agree, it's all in the details in a property like this- and that's why it could never be a 20 minute video, if it was, the viewer would have no idea why it was so special. Thanks for watching 🩴
I've been watching all your great India reviews waiting for the one hotel I could check in to and stay for a few days just enjoying the hotel for itself; its history, service, and the joy of just exploring the property. i found it here. Thanks!
I would not be suprised if someone told me that these peacocks are on hotel payroll as well 😅....they just add to the whole vibe of the palace, spreading there wings, and literally taking you to an era where there was no hustle and bustle of today's big cities. (keeping in mind that this hotel is located in almost center of the city)
Love all your content. You’re setting a benchmark for the quality of travel content. Minute details like change of the car and filter when you mentioned it takes you to a different era❤. I think taj will take your feedback for missing coffee machines😁
Adding Rambagh to the bucket list. But back in my day :-) circa 1990, we rather preferred Jodhpur over Jaipur. The Mehrangarh Fort for one thing is one of the most stunning in India, and that's saying a lot. Don't know if you got a chance to go, but the Umaid Bhawan Palace is truly special. Couldn't afford the stay there in those days, but enjoyed an incredible dinner, accompanied by a performance of gypsy dancers that was indelibly etched in our memories.
Then you need to visit Kumbhalgarh Fort(36km boundary wall) which is UNESCO World Heritage site , Chittorgarh Fort and Jaisalmer Fort(only living fort in the world). These 3 are unmatchable in the world. You see, the rest of the world has small castles but India has MASSIVE Forts and Palaces.
I like your selection of music for this indian series, it's not too mainstream or you can say stereotypical and more like what goes with the vibe of the palace or place or hotels you are visiting. Great work. Lots of love ❤
What a stunning place.. as a very distant and un knowledgeable observer (I’ve never set foot in India), it appears that you’ve done it justice too.. I’d probably be more worried and irritated about the peacock squawks than you were though .. but thanks again for your hard work, Kevin.. a majestic view of a majestic property.. 🙏..
If it was a noise that bled into the room, I would have made a bigger deal of it, but since the sound at night wasn't a problem, I let them be. Thanks for watching 🩴
People in this modern world can't appreciate nature. In our school assembly(which used to happen in open grounds with trees) I hoped that it lasted long, I closed my eyes and used to hear the song of kuku bird. But yeah it was too much
Gorgeous property! I particularly liked the silver detailing for the ceiling and mirrors in the bathroom. Everything looked just about perfect. I think this might be my most favorite hotel of all your hotel videos.
Hope both Taj group and Oberai group sincerely listen to your feed back and improve the short commings. Brands improve like that. Your honest review is much needed thing in this era of paid promotion and review. Job well done. Keep it up. All the best wishes from India.
Wow Kevin, what a fabulous video in every respect. This is my favourite so far. Kudos to you . Many thanks for showing us this amazing hotel which certainly leaves me hoping that one day I might be lucky enough to experience in person.
Wow this seems like one of your best videos and your style of Capturing the Beauty of This Magnificent Palace is Amazing… FYI .Peacock is National Bird of India.. And also Peacock is royal bird .. Loved by Indian Royal Maharajas and Queens both royal Rajputs and Mughals.. especailly in Rajasthan .. Peacock signifies Royalty and its beautiful feathers when opend signifies Abundance and Happiness.. fill joyful Colourfulness in life .. In india we Love Peacocks.. Dont be afraid🙏
I am from Jaipur. Let me tell you Even if i had stayed at Ram Bagh, i could not have experienced it in such clarity and details. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION in storytelling ❤
Loved the video as usual. I found myself falling asleep but in a good way as the entire experience was mesmerising. I have stayed here a few times over the years and I’m glad to see that they have maintained it extremely well, well except for the plumbing issues which seems to happen a lot in India at older properties. Your commentary is always insightful and history is so important especially with such an iconic property. Thank you once again for bringing some peace and tranquility into my day.
I have stayed hear. Nothing like this PALACE and service and food anywhere in the world. It grows on you. We had originaly booked for 3 nights we ended up staying 6 nights in one of the suites . Just fantastic .
In Feb 2020 we had gone from Australia to Jaipur for my sons wedding and we had one of the pre-wedding functions here - dance/sangeet and dinner with best buffet in a private area .. even today our guests say they never experienced ANYTHING like this experience .. thank you to Taj and its awesome on site management of Rambagh
I really loved the video. I binge watched all your Rajasthan videos, and I really loved your honest reviews. Your way of presentation is brilliant and the videography stunning. I’m planning to visit India next year, and initially thought of staying at an Oberoi property, but after watching this video, have changed my mind. I’ll probably stay at Rambagh Palace hotel, and will try to stay for at least a couple of days. Thank you once again for sharing this lovely video. 😊
I am just so impressed with your understanding of the Indian music for your videos! These are truly one of a kind Vlogs m, I have ever seen. Great work, Kevin! Thank you for introducing us to the Indian royalty! Someday I will for sure visit it as well. Hope you had a great time in India!! 🎉 Please visit us again!
Beautiful property and a befitting effort to bring every facet of the property to the fore... beautiful background music alongwith each unfolding and yet stunning scenes of the property..... Thankyou Kevin for covering the property so well...Hard to pick my favourite part of the property, but I loved the pool, courtyard and the breakfast restaurant...Your commentary and description is very classy as well... Congratulations on producing such a lovely vlog...👍
This review has done justice to the place! I love how beautifully you've covered the entire property! My jaw dropped the moment I saw the insides of the restaurant "Suvarna Mahal". Great job once again! The only thing I felt a bit too much was the golden drape hanging on top of the bed. I feel that was just too much for my taste, but if that's how a Maharaja used to sleep, then be it, I wouldn't mind it for a night 😂 I enjoy watching your videos over dinner, it's just so captivating! Thanks for taking the efforts in filming, editing and narrating it so beautifully!
Thanks for sharing this incredible tour and review of Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India. Can't wait to experience the luxury and history of this palace hotel when I visit Jaipur. ✨
Looks like an amazing stay...this is on our list of places to visit for sure. Last time in India we had some not so great hotels, so this will be a nice addition to change our experience in India. Thanks for the great video
Just found your terrific channel by chance. Stayed at the Rambagh Place in 1973; Room #116. It was an amazing hotel then and it seems that it has preserved and increased it's specialness.
Thanks for this detailed review - this is my fav hotel/resort in India and probably top 3 in the whole world. For our stay, the hotel arranged a "royal" welcome - 4 horses in Rajput gear, 2 drummers or dhols, 6 attendants dressed in traditional gear and showering rose petals, a camel cart for the kids. Our royal procession started right outside the main gate entrance to the lobby area. I only did this for my kids and was too embarrassed to be part of it. What was missing are the Royal elephants - due to animal cruelty reasons we omitted that part. This is India - anything can be arranged and made to order just like you want. Luxury has a different meaning in India - specially with the massive manpower available. There is a TV ad for this palace hotel where an American lady gets a tailored suit made for her overnight. Taj Hotels has done it again & again! Wah Taj!
Wow...what a superb review...it was like watching a professional documentary...wonderful work, saw the transition at @ 34:38 beautiful, Anyone who sees any of your videos will become a subscriber excellent work as always
Amazing review of an amazing place. Yet, with all this getting 96, i can't help but wondering (again) how perfect is Como Ubud with its 100. Looking forward to your next review.
You can't compare apples to oranges. Scores are relative to price, competition and reasonable expectations. COMO Uma was I believe around half the price with pristine facilities and food which far exceeded every reasonable expectation one could have. It's also still the cleanest room I've ever inspected. Surely when visiting a Taj Palace, you expect working water pressure and a room that doesn't vibrate lol.
spend a lot of time searching for a good video about this property, have to say i like your style of presentation, selection of background music and minimal no-nonsense narration style....keep up the good work...
I feel like you should visit 'Shimla'! Shimla, nestled in the Himalayan foothills, is the capital of Himachal Pradesh, India. A popular hill station, it was once the summer capital during British rule. Its scenic beauty, Victorian architecture, and pleasant climate attract tourists. The Ridge, Mall Road, and Jakhoo Temple are prominent landmarks. Shimla's toy train, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a picturesque journey. Known for its cultural richness, it remains a cherished destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts. I personally stayed at 'Hotel Combemere', A small luxury hotel connected to 'The Lift', in Shimla to the Mall road. Located in the heart of Shimla, is a renowned accommodation offering a blend of modern amenities and colonial charm. With a history dating back to the British era, the hotel provides comfortable rooms, a rooftop lounge with panoramic views, and a variety of dining options. Its central location near Mall Road and proximity to Shimla's attractions make it a popular choice for visitors seeking a comfortable stay.
Un believable. Incredible. I am totally speechless.. No thanks are enough for your super excellent hotel choices.. This is a Great Encounter.. My God. I have to reload yr video a dozen times for all the ambiance that it casts and beholds. You definitely took us along with you to an entirely different Realm. God Bless.
What a beautifully executed video! Elegantly paced! You are right, the service is so important, more important really than any physical attribute and to achieve a suitable feeling of "taj-ness" is a real success. In a basic hotel, the room items that really matter are a clean comfortable bed and a good shower with hot water. On balance, I would have docked a point off the room for the shower, and then the hotel could strive for 100 next time around. I do wonder if the common Indian hotel problems with showers are part of the authentic Raj legacy as the UK has had a difficult relationship with showers for years - especially in relation to water pressure.
I was so mesmerized by the royal elegance of this place that I didn't even realize when 40 minutes of this video passed. It felt as if only 15-20 minutes had elapsed. It is one of the best videos of Rambagh on UA-cam 🎉🎉. Gosh!! I want to see more of this property. 🦚 🌸 🌹 🏵 😊
Oh man, kind of quality video with quality content you have produced, I wont be surprised to know one day that you have a TV channel too. Truely awesome, I watched full video. I subscribed the channel and look forward to watch more from you!
Absolutely breathtaking, both the videography and the actual property itself. I will content myself with this vicarious visit, thanks to your efforts. I take it the rooms here , unlike those in a description you gave of another resort, had enough soundproofing from the peacock symphony. 😊 it must take a lot of resources to keep the property looking so lush, in a desert climate. In the closing shots, I saw a peahen walk by and a peacock displaying his magnificent feathers, possibly to attract her attention. As you mentioned a slight peacock phobia, hopefully no rowdy scenes unfolded. 😄
This was great. There is simply not enough money in the world to build a brand new property with intimate detail of a real former palace like this. And yes... about pace... I long for the old days in Vietnam when people were relaxed about things. Now in the higher end hotels people are at attention on the lookout for a rogue piece of lint on a rug and that stress radiates. Anyway many thanks.
As always with your videos, this is an exceptional one. This one catches the spirit of Royal Rajasthan. Needless to say, the Taj group of Hotels always wins hands down. Rambagh Palace is one Hotel which I will keep in mind for my future travels, thanks to your video.
Truly mesmerizing 🎉 such a detailed beautiful video, takes u back in a different era 😊 congratulations for this wonderful video...hope u make more and more always 😊❤ thanks many thanks 🎉💕❤️💐
it's Manjinder Sidhu from UK. it's be nice to see your Videos clips on UA-cam. With lot's of Respect keep up Good work. Because it's good to dream to stay in this lovely Rich India Hotel. We all Dream, Pray, and wish.
Just got back from Jaipur by way of a 6 day tour to the region using a Vietnamese travel company where the entire cost of the trip from Saigon including airfare, four star hotels, all meals, all transportation, entry to local attractions etc. cost about 850 dollars. It was awesome. I kept thinking about how I might sneak off with my wife to this hotel for a drink and a little walkabout as this place seems beyond awesome. But all was a too tight from a time point of view. But being so happy with my experiences we will be joining additional Indian tours to different regions.
I’m afraid most don’t agree with you that 110° daily temps makes a perfect season to visit. That plus, I always film during off peak hours to ensure I avoid guests. Thanks for watching 🩴
There is a graphic in each of my hotel reviews which details the best times of year to visit. High and low season is relative to the weather. Thanks for watching 🩴
Great video. I have a question to ask. Of all the places (hotels) you have visited in India which one is your favorite? Or may be two best hotels. An experience that left you absolutely mesmerized.
Thank you so so much.. each video you make needs to be seen again and again. But regretfully . it always happens that the price list hides a number of nice shots of the interior. However your choices of all hotels is remarkable. Much obliged.
I’m now looking for the coffee machine every time you are showing the room interior 😂. Brilliantly done. I’m not sure if you have visited the Rajvilas. It was the first of the Vilas’s.
I CANNOT believe 12 hours after posting I still haven't gotten the "Coffee is not part of the culture" comment! Maybe I should preemptively reply to coffee comments in every video haha. Thanks for watching 🩴
Very well done Kevin! This gonna be our starting place in our Rajasthan trip in January 2025. I love that You are also obsessed with details like I am. Thanks for putting so much efforts in You videos, I just do raw footage without any editing as I am too lazy ;-)

Its central location near Mall Road and proximity to Shimla's attractions make it a popular choice for visitors seeking a comfortable stay.
Shimla is definitely on my list! Thanks for sharing ✈️
Such a palace. Beautiful! Thank You!

God Bless.
Thanks for watching 🩴
What a beautifully executed video! Elegantly paced! You are right, the service is so important, more important really than any physical attribute and to achieve a suitable feeling of "taj-ness" is a real success.
In a basic hotel, the room items that really matter are a clean comfortable bed and a good shower with hot water. On balance, I would have docked a point off the room for the shower, and then the hotel could strive for 100 next time around.
I do wonder if the common Indian hotel problems with showers are part of the authentic Raj legacy as the UK has had a difficult relationship with showers for years - especially in relation to water pressure.
I've been in nearly 20 hotels in India and this was my first time seeing such poor water pressure. Thanks for watching 🩴
What an incredible place. Thanks for sharing Kevin!

Even though i can't afford these prices, i appreciate your content in the way they draw in viewers to these refined properties.
That's part of the reason I do it! With or without the money to stay here, everyone should be able to experience it in some way. Thanks for watching 🩴

Hi Kev love watching the videos and great to see my city Jaipur getting the love & recognition it well & truly deserves 🔥
Thanks for watching 🩴
Absolutely breathtaking, both the videography and the actual property itself. I will content myself with this vicarious visit, thanks to your efforts. I take it the rooms here , unlike those in a description you gave of another resort, had enough soundproofing from the peacock symphony. 😊 it must take a lot of resources to keep the property looking so lush, in a desert climate. In the closing shots, I saw a peahen walk by and a peacock displaying his magnificent feathers, possibly to attract her attention. As you mentioned a slight peacock phobia, hopefully no rowdy scenes unfolded. 😄
Nope, no problems, I just get creeped out by the seemingly soulless depths of bird eyes 😂
I find the Park Hyatt Saigon to be decidedly relaxed in this regard and their carpets are lint free too! haha.
As always with your videos, this is an exceptional one. This one catches the spirit of Royal Rajasthan. Needless to say, the Taj group of Hotels always wins hands down. Rambagh Palace is one Hotel which I will keep in mind for my future travels, thanks to your video.
Appreciate that!
Wonderful coverage of the property.
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Your introduction music is very amazing , very unique and amazing soundtrack and amazing hotel review

I cannot remember are you covering The Oberoi in Agra?
I will be yes. Thanks for watching 🩴
Wow! All that and peacocks! Wonderful hotel.
Thank you for inspiring what might be a new goto phrase for me, "All that and a flock of peacocks..." 😅

Glad you enjoyed!
Magnificent. But why is the hotel so empty? Perfect season to visit. I love empty hotels. Makes me feel like royalty.
I’m afraid most don’t agree with you that 110° daily temps makes a perfect season to visit. That plus, I always film during off peak hours to ensure I avoid guests. Thanks for watching 🩴
Waiting for your coverage of the new Raffles hotel in Jaipur 🎉
Based on its crap location, it's not on my list.
Very good information thanks my dear friends Good 👍👍
Thanks for watching 🩴
Hey Kevin, hope you are doing great, I was wondering that it will be very helpful if you could mention the months where it will be less crowded.
If you watched all of my India videos, you'd already know 😉 - Amarvilas
Will definitely check that out. @@tfft
Thank you so much for your effort. You did an amazing job
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Wow wow wow the only words going through my mind as I watched this review thank you
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Thank you so so much.. each video you make needs to be seen again and again. But regretfully . it always happens that the price list hides a number of nice shots of the interior. However your choices of all hotels is remarkable. Much obliged.
Price list hides a number of nice shots? Huh? Not following...
stunning video, stunning hotel !
Thanks for watching 🩴
I’m now looking for the coffee machine every time you are showing the room interior 😂. Brilliantly done. I’m not sure if you have visited the Rajvilas. It was the first of the Vilas’s.
I CANNOT believe 12 hours after posting I still haven't gotten the "Coffee is not part of the culture" comment! Maybe I should preemptively reply to coffee comments in every video haha. Thanks for watching 🩴
Hi, Kevin, it seems that you missed the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. It is a spectacular property. Do visit there in any of your future trips.
Missed implies I’m never going back 😉
Very well done Kevin! This gonna be our starting place in our Rajasthan trip in January 2025. I love that You are also obsessed with details like I am.
Thanks for putting so much efforts in You videos, I just do raw footage without any editing as I am too lazy ;-)
Do visit Northeast India
@@Semiconductor_1 I definitly will. I have been to Darjeeling and Gangtok in 1992, but more visits are planned.
I like your videos bro. Awesome work 🎉
