But local content actually part of the game (even if you need internet to access it) will still be rated. Jelfonso is rated by ESRB. I was already so happy with the progressive direction Splatoon had been following for a while, and this makes me feel even more included. The incredible scarcity of gender-neutral toilets irl is yet another way how my identity is erased on the daily, so it means the world to me that they did this (and in a Nintendo game no less). Of course such a hidden detail should be way less than the bare minimum, but it’s at least a sign that we’re moving in the right direction in some ways, despite how remarkably loud transphobia has gotten these past few years.

I am here to update everyone that since Inkopolis Square was added to Splatoon 3, Jelfonzo F-You T-shirt Tuesday has been moved to Saturday, but it continues.
Since it was probably designed in Japan, I bet the designer had no idea this could be an issue, since people from non English speaking countries can get away with swears like this without consequence otherwise. Kind of reminds me of that one Korean celebrity who wore leggings that had f you written all over it, and subsequently got kicked out of the flight.

Honestly, a shirt litterally just saying "Fuck you" on it is the exact sorta thing you would expect to see at hot topic so if Jelfonzo's shop is equivalent to Hot topic, i can completely believe this.
If i had a nickel every time there's a cuss word in a kid-friendly game franchise, I would have 3 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened thrice, right?

I am here to update everyone that since Inkopolis Square was added to Splatoon 3, Jelfonzo F-You T-shirt Tuesday has been moved to Saturday, but it continues.
Since it was probably designed in Japan, I bet the designer had no idea this could be an issue, since people from non English speaking countries can get away with swears like this without consequence otherwise. Kind of reminds me of that one Korean celebrity who wore leggings that had f you written all over it, and subsequently got kicked out of the flight.
I always thought that when inklings activated ink armor, it sounded like they were saying "Ink armor!" Don't know if that was intended
