Man..... I have been on that end. Watching and listening to the captains "ok boys wind'em up" gives me anxiety!! lol.... I am going the 14th 2.5 day..... scared I don't have the right equipment. Either way... hope for better days. At least you had the balls to post the skunk.... not everything is wide open. your next trip you will be rewarded.
There were a lot of wind em ups on that one 😆 It's definitely challenging out there on the tuna grounds & your gear is the only thing you have control of. If you have a 100 or 80# rig you should be good for night fishing. Thank you for commenting @leeroderick7510 I was wondering how the reaction would be to very slow fishing but that's the reality of fishing for BFT. It's not always high 5s & cracking beers, but I hope that's the case for your 2.5 day. Get em! 🤙🏽
Thank you homie. Just being out there fishing is a great feeling especially on the B-Day. I'll be on the Pacifica Overnight 7/4 or the Aztec on 7/6 not quite sure but hopefully we'll get to fish soon 🤙🏽
I went on a 3 day trip last year and got skunked (not even a bite); it was hard fishing for everyone. It’s part of fishing and I’m glad you made this video as others have experienced it as well. Belated happy birthday and tight lines!
It's unfortunate to get skunked on a trip for sure, but failure makes you better in the end as you'll be more prepared next time around. Thank you for the well wishes & keep slayin' em out there 🤙🏽 @elbiebartolome
Fished on Indy, a great boat! LOT’S of room. Individual storage space for rods and tackle. Staterooms good sized. One head per three staterooms. Galley is very large, and food is wonderful. Boat rides well, and cruises at 11 knots plus. Captain and crew top notch. Friendly and helpful. RSW fish holds have huge capacity. Expensive compared to Pacifica, but you get an upgraded experience. It’s worth it to give a “big boat” one ride, and Indy is the one I’d pick (along with the Royal Polaris).
Thank you for the recommendation @patrickodonogue8823 This vessel reminds me of the Polaris Supreme which I rode in March. The Indy has been catching giant Yellowtail lately which is something I'll be looking to do in the future. Shout out for the comment brotha! 🤙🏽
Killer bro. Did u guys do well on that trip? Just seeing that vessel on the water up so close makes me want to book a trip, of course. She's looking fine 🤙🏽
@@SlaycationFishing it was a Christmas trip special. the weather was shitty most of the time i was the only person to land a blue fin (we lost a lot to) but that's totally out of the control of the crew. Be forewarned though the price you see isn't the price you pay. Their trip cost doesn't include Mexican fish permits or any other permits you may need. You pay permit fees the morning you leave.
Fishing is definitely challenging, emotional & expensive sometimes but it's the thrill that we seek that keeps us coming back for more. At least you were able to land one! 🤙🏽@@thomas2811
You'd get down alot faster if you quit casting your bomb and if you got rid of some of the spectra. Too much line always leads to backlashes. Lose 50 or 60 yrds and drop it straight down. Good luck
Thank you for the advice @scottballinger40 That setup is more of a trolling rig so I'll be going with a jigging combo from now on. Jigging master monster game PE 7 or 8 with a matching rod should work for night time fishing 🤙🏼
I keep hearing that same quote. Maybe they are the best, but there's only one way to find out, right? Thank you for viewing & commenting 🤙🏼@joelserrano678
I hate those trips like that fucking sucks. They're fun for a while, but it gets old. As soon as you come home you get on 976 tuna and you see everybody hooking up So off, we go to drop another 500 to go on a boat ride. It's called the old toilet bowl bluefin tuna circle. I'm hoping you get a good one next time.
I feel yah, it's always a somber feeling when the boat doesn't connect & the other's are slaying em. Fishing for Bluefin Tuna is about as challenging as operating a UA-cam channel, so it's tough work but rewarding when it's going good. Thank you for chiming in @brandonbandura1 We'll get em soon 🤙🏽

Happy belated
Thanks Shawn 🙏🏽 Gearing up with a jigging combo & getting back out there in July. See you soon 🤙🏽
I'm going on my birthday trip Saturday night on the producer
Sick!!! The Producer has been nailing big 1s, well actually the whole fleet as of late. Have a great birthday & I hope you get a 💯+ @dgomez6631
I was on that trip and the guy who hooked up had no clue he was bit 😂
It was a quick bite but that 420g jig stuck him 😆 Thank God someone caught a fish otherwise there'd be nothing to show 🤙🏽 Thank you @durtyfeesh8959

I only fish the Indy. The boat, crew, are exceptional.
Nice brother @EvoSGooD After seeing the vessel that close up, I'm just stunned by her shear beauty. When's your next trip on the Independence?
@@SlaycationFishing next month 😁
Sweet. I'd wish you luck @EvoSGooD but I'm sure the fish will need more luck than you 🤙🏼
indy is the best boat in the fleet

@@SlaycationFishing lemme look it over with my fishing partner who was on trip with us
Can’t believe people go on the Pacifica . After owner/captain has crashed /runaground 2 boats in as many years
The Pacifica is my favorite vessel to fish on & the captain is one of my favorite people to fish with. Thank you for your input 🤙🏽
