Making a Modern Kitchen Knife Block

I make a modern looking kitchen knife block. I have a bunch ( too many? Nope... no such thing exists) of kitching knifes, of all kinds and they didn't all fit into my old knife block. So I made a new one out of some old mahogany I had. This knife holder has lots of space for many different kitchen knives, as well as room for the honing steel. This design of knife holder is made with a simple finger joint jig for the table saw and can be made to fit any number of knives (just make it longer). I also thought about making a slot for a pair of kitchen scissors, but as I did not have any, I did not bother to do so.
