Hey Fish Tucker Man , great to see you back , I know it is a balancing act mmm life that is family , work , health, weather and of course fishing 🎣 Dom I enjoy your videos they are always awesome viewing 👍 Take care cheers Geoff 🐠🐟😀
Nup , I always take that blood off the back bone 😂 I bet that you eat the poop line in prawns 🍤 as well Dom ,lol, lol . Reddy approved cook up this week . Cheers 🐔 🍺 🐓 🍻
So do I most times..Rick Stein says it's best to leave on for the red mullets..it gives a very marine flavour to the the fish. Haha..yep prawn poo and thru out the rest😁🍻🐔👍
Hi Dom, being a ignorant old Aussie I’ve always thrown the red mullet back, I’ll give them a go next time. Never too old to learn 😀. A tip from the recent Squid & Whiting info night at the CPBC was to tie the sea anchor of on the front quarter rather than the back that way the anchor rope is out of the way of your lines. Haven’t tried it myself yet but it may be worth a go and see how it works.
They have an acquired taste..a very good one that is, glad you got a tip from me👍. With the see anchor, I turn the engine as a rudder to counter affect the pull on the back chine ...haven't got a chine quarter up from the bow 👍
@@damodoesall6240 Hi mate, it was a good night with plenty of experience on offer with even experienced people managing to pick up some new tip or ways of doing things. It was mainly about catching squid and jig selection, what sort of ground to look for etc. One of the main points for squid was people not giving the jig time enough to sink to a deeper depth before starting to retrieve it. Although most of us who have been fishing for a while know most of the whiting rigs the one thing I took away from it was that at 6lb line I’m fishing a bit light, I’ll be trying some rigs with 15lb / 20lb line and a heavier sinker to make sure it’s bouncing on the bottom on a drift. Ohh and catch your squid first so that you have fresh bait for the whiting 😀. Tying the sea anchor of on the front quarter that I mentioned to Dom is something I’ll try once this damn wind drops a bit and see how it goes. If the CBBC runs another night I’d go again, especially as it’s free😀 I suggested a night on other bread a butter fish that most of us mere mortals catch like skippy etc and maybe one on snapper and gummy sharks (I can dream of catching a decent one🤨). Tight lines mate and see you out there.
Tough condition but what a variety of fish in that session….I noticed you still have your foot in a moon boot…Hope all is well with it Dom….hasn’t stopped you fishing but seems a long time in recovery.
So good mate. Makes me wish i was there. But i hear you guys are having some hot days. Normally , we have the heat wave records. Been so cold here. Keep cool mate. Enjoy 🍻👌
@FishTuckerMan sorry to hear about your grapes mate. Just before harvest as well. I hope you get something out of them. We have a few new Italian varieties. First year of fruit this year. About 4 bunches per vine. Haha. I'd like to send you a bottle in the future when they are mature enough to bottle. Maybe some lambrusco 👌
PS all fishers need to join Recfish West and mount opposition to these huge new "no fish" zones the Government is promoting - soon there will be no fishing in WA. Demersal bans already cover 6 months of the year.

@olivercook6091 too many fishers couldn't give a damn if there'll be any tailor or snapper left for their kids and grand kids to catch. I doubt he's thought much about what " recovering " means.
