Legitimately no idea why they are so attached to this 1 director with like maybe 1 or 2 good movies in his portfolio at most. There's literally dozens of other directors out there who makes way better and more fun movies yet they choose this guy?

We expect that level of quality from Marvel but not from DC who have in the past proved that they have the tech to make an awesome super suit and make it look real eg. Batman's suit from bvs and even Superman's suit from man of steel

The suit itself is really not bad it’s the folds and creases thats really turning people off, Cavill’s suit was molded from his body so it looked good because the guy has a great figure, Making the suit baggy takes away from the actors months and months of physical preparation.
Well since you guys like James Gunn let's see how this movie goes. If it flops then idk what DC can do to make fans come and enjoy these films. That's why I have faith in Marvel. People are trashing them and making false reports on stuff that are not being mentioned by Marvel. Marvel are keeping something huge and silent till comic con and D23 starts.

The suit doesn’t look all that great to me, but that logo is growing on me. Looking forward to it, and based off the characters being introduced, definitely looking forward to this movie.
Them calling superman an alien is a complete misunderstanding of the character of superman and clark.
Clark grew up on earth as a a normal everyday person.
Thats what zack snyder didn’t understand and what james gunn seems to understand.
He is an alien, and he isn't a normal human being.
I wouldn’t call that a misunderstanding. His whole goal is to fit in like one, but he’s still different. I wasn’t a fan of Zack Snyder’s DCEU as a whole, but he did get the character of Superman right at his core. Like Jor-El said, he can embody the best of both worlds, Superman does that. But I can agree that since he grew up on earth, he is one of us essentially. But he’s not a normal everyday person, he just chooses to be.

I really like the suit I think my favorite part is the cape I grew to love the loose fit because after reading all Star Superman, that comic and that Superman was basically you don’t need to look tough and have these skintight ab tight suit instead wear something where you can be approachable,humble and being stronger than you look I also have an amazing theory about the emblem which if true could be a great great thing overall I think it’s a great suit and this be a great movie I also love mr terrifics suit that’s a 10 out of 10

I laughed at this horrible suit when I first laid eyes on it. Most people with a basic sense of aesthetics did too. No one needed to be convinced about how bad it is.

@@d0nneur2b0nheur Strawman argument. I didn't say anything about Cavil's suit. But , yeah, .. it's definitely better. So is Brandon Routh's , So is Christopher Reeves, ... This one I'd put on par with something from the CW shows. There's so much wrong with it. It's one of the clumsiest slapdash designs I've seen for any live action Superman. It's like Gunn is trying to mash together every era and every iteration of Supes ever designed and it absolutely doesn't work. I hate every element. It's not just because if fits him like a bad cosplay costume that's made a size too big. It's the entire design. I don't like the symbol, the briefs look like gramps wandering around in his Fruit of the Looms, the tactical military/motorcycle gear doesn't work. Especially with the underwear. The colors are WAY too oversaturated and it makes it look like Sesame Street or a Fisher Price toy. The material looks like it's made from some kind of thick nerf rubber, the collar is bad. I always hated when they put the collar on Superman. New 52 with his armored look and the collar always looked like garbage to me. The suit is a mess. He's missing the simple elegance that other designs had. It's just James Gunn trying to be different again. He's going to make another silly superhero spoof like he always does.. and it's pretty obvious from looking at the costume. The other characters look really dumb too. Mr. Terrific is ok I guess .. but who cares about that character anyway? I don't.

It's up to the directors to adapt these characters to the screen and the trunks aren't it. Those happy with the fact that it's comic accurate, good for you because they look ridiculous in film adaptions and grounding the character to the world it's creating. It just doesn't make sense and leans too far cosplay to take serious.
My guy the trunks are iconic, it's an important part of his design and still look great

The thing about Snyder is here are definitively not the definitive versions of these characters. Lois is a terrible reporter, Jimmy gets shot in the face, Pa Kent says let people die, and Superman kills and seems to get over it pretty quick. It’s fine for an elseworlds, but I would like to see you know, Superman on the screen.
