I'm 54 - check out Blood Ceremony, you will go apeshit. Sooooo many killer songs. It's like Jethro Tull meets Black Sabbath with female vocals! Here ya go: ua-cam.com/video/0z_mNIOf1DE/v-deo.html
I just discovered this band and really the whole sludge/doom metal genre. As a lifelong sabbath fan, im blown away that there is a whole new genre of music for me to explore!
check out Sleep, Kyuss, Weedeater, and Electric Wizard. Also give The Black Angels a try, more psychadelic rock than "metal", but still fucking awesome and heavy in their own way
I hope they do play Atlanta. Last time I saw them was in Salt Lake City, 2014. They kicked ass. A whole gang of five or six guys with Gibsons, in white suits and Jesus beards/hair. They ripped the roof off that place.
I'm an old 57 year old man who saw the last Black Sabbath tour before Ozzy first went solo (and introduced the world to the great Randy Rhoads) in support of the Never Say Die album. It was 1978 and the warmup band at this general admission fieldhouse show in Pennsylvania was Van Halen. My buddy and myself worked our way to around 30 feet and EVH blew my mind. There was zero security in those days and this smaller single tier venue was one very large hotbox. But i digress, and remember people were saying the rest of that year and then some at following concerts Van Halen blew the Sabs off the stage but as much as I loved VH and loved their headlining shows to follow, I loved the Black Sabbath set that hot August night. I was/am a huge fan. I was a young teen and it was my first concert, and I was hooked. The first concert rates with all other great firsts in life and I'm glad it was Sabbath and VH.
I've been trying to show this band to people for what feels like a really long time, so glad they signed to Metal Blade so they can get their music out there \m/
Lol for real. Them and A Place To Bury Strangers are two of the loudest live bands I've seen. And they both play fantastically live as well. Not just loud haha
saw them last night in Birmingham, don't know if they do this at all their gigs but they opened with music from the Hammer film The Devil Rides Out- it worked so well! :)
Well...I'm 71 and I'm really into all the stoner/psychedelic rock as well as the 80s metal scene. GREAT PLAYLIST MAN! It was nice listening to Triumph and Krokus will I worked on music stuff. Thanx!

When I listen to this album and especially this song i'm imagining girls dancing in short skirts, burning crosses, a goat bleeding to death on purple velvet. and a shit load of candles. All in 70 mm film. \m/

The imagery is kind of electric wizardish? I like it, going hopefully to their gig on Friday, first I'm hearing of them. Perhaps a hint of Brian Jonestown massacre as well.
if ozzy and bon scott had a 30 year old man child this singer would be him. these guys are doing the damn thing right. that is one of the best kick drums i have ever heard along with the sludgey blues metal...and those goddamn lyrics are fucking sinister i give them a 9.5 outta 10. ( nobody is a 10)
