    Are you using a direct-drive wheel? Are you considering the Moza R5?

  • @AnthonyFransella

    Moza is good, Fanatec has a nice one in this price range, and Cammus has a set that's even cheaper but still direct drive. Very competitive landscape for DD nowadays!

    I'll be running the crystal light with my simmagic alpha mini. Very excited! I have no need for eye tracking, and I don't mind a tether, so I think this will be a solid upgrade from my quest 2 (that I never use as a stand alone headset anyways). Now I just need Asseto Corsa Evo to come out😁

      Xbox only. Fanatec are the only company that does ps. If you wanna save some cash buy xbox fanatec base and use ps drive hub. What I do for gt7. Works perfectly.

    Seb you should ask Moza about the force feedback joystick base, that product is going to be hot imho

      100% will depend on the price.
      I recently purchased the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightstick.
      With the Moza ffb base, you'll still need to purchase a stick to mount onto it and a separate throttle with additional buttons for enough input.

      It takes a bit of practice but the main thing is performance, so if you can’t get 90fps you are immediately into danger territory unless you are acclimatised i.e. used to VR. How do you do it? You take it easy and learn over time, you dont start on rollercoasters, space sims and 1st person games with cut scenes

    • @ormpoa
      @ormpoa 9 днів тому +1

      Some headsets have small eyebox where pupils must be.
      Wrong face mask thickness or wrong IPD prevent good focus and binocular vision.
      Some folks insist that they need high refresh rates,
      but most can acclimate to VR with proper headset fitment.

    Hi. Really love your chanel. However I don't think you have the competence needed for your '' Project immersion '' reviewing for example racing sim hardware. This for example is a very specific area with a lot of super specialised reviewers who possess real competence and experience. Please consider staying in your area of competence: VR/AR headsets...

      Of course I will stick to XR headsets as main content but I am glad that I have the ability to learn what's left and right and show my audience what's out there.

    Hardware is important for immersion. But don't forget to choose right game. ACC is not the best experience for immersive VR racing. Project Cars 2 is better choice. Or ETS2 for relax driving

    • @DMan-ud6bt
      @DMan-ud6bt 9 днів тому

      100% true. I quit using AC years ago back when I first started using VR. The complete lack of VR support in the menus killed it for me.
      I was hoping they had fixed the obvious oversight in ACC, but I heard they didn't, so it was never on the table for me.

    • @Hellknight27
      @Hellknight27 8 днів тому

      @@DMan-ud6btThe original Assetto Corsa with mods is the best, despite it not having VR menus. It has the best FFB and most realistic handling. Content Manager plus the Pure lighting mod make it great. ACC was built on UE4 and that was a mistake - that they have admitted, its FFB is meh too. If you want a good out of the box VR experience AMS2 is the game to get and constantly being worked on. It is built off the Project Cars engine.
      The new Assetto Corsa Evo is coming out this year and is being built on their own proprietary technology again, like the first game. And they aware they have a lot to live up to, given how successful their now 10 year old original game has been thanks to the modding community - which has preformed minor miracles with it getting it to do things it was never designed to do.

    • @DMan-ud6bt
      @DMan-ud6bt 7 днів тому

      @@Hellknight27 I heard a lot of people praising Assetto Corsa, even for VR, but the fact that I got kicked out of VR every time I got to a menu and the jankiness of any menus while in the cars was a hard turn off for me. I just couldn't tolerate it.

    • @Hellknight27
      @Hellknight27 7 днів тому

      @@DMan-ud6bt With Content Manager you can just set everything up as you like and then press start and put your headset on whilst it loads.

    Or buy gamepad with good gyro instead and save a ton of money and have more versatile device.

    • @DMan-ud6bt
      @DMan-ud6bt 9 днів тому +3

      Even compared to the Logitech wheels, a gamepad is absolutely nothing compared to a ffb wheel and pedals.
      It's an entirely new level of experience just like VR is from a monitor.

    • @davidzx692
      @davidzx692 8 днів тому +1

      Or don't play games if you would like to Save even more money 😂

    • @Rosaslav
      @Rosaslav 8 днів тому +1

      @@davidzx692 With gyro you get much greater precision when steering than with thumbsticks and you can use it in many other games. Wheel costs like 5 times as much and you can use it in only a few games. I would gladly buy VR headset for gaming, because I can use it in many games, but I would never buy a wheel, cause the moment I get bored of racing games, it becomes useless.

    • @DMan-ud6bt
      @DMan-ud6bt 7 днів тому

      @@Rosaslav This is actually what happened to me. I at least only purchased a Logitech G27 wheel and pedals set back when it was still on the market, but the percentage of time it's been used has been quite low, because I'm not really as into racing sims as I hoped I would be.
      That could change with a clearer HMD, like the VR1 I recently ordered. I'll have to see.

    8kx is designed for sim racers. Crystal is designed for casuals. Prove me wrong. Fov says you can't, lol.

    • @Emir_de_Passy
      @Emir_de_Passy 8 днів тому +1

      8kx WAS designed for sim racers. Fresnel lenses are now a bit outdated. I'd take the Lower FOV on the crystal anyway over blurry visuals. You can turn your headset and use crew chief to make up for the reduced fOV and increase situational awareness.

    Moza alright if thats all you can afford. If you aint poor, dont buy moza. Chances are you want something better down the road. At least get a moza r12.
