Thank you Frank for your contribution to the sky community. You are a genius.
Thank you again Frank, that's a new great feature !
The batch process is a heaven sent! Cosmic clarity has also improved so much since the first time I've tried it. I'd love a dedicated patcher fir the suite at one point :D
Whats a patcher?
Frank, I really really like this frequency separation tool. Ever since I saw Sky Story utilize this technique, I have been thinking about ways to do it in Pixinsight. The closest I could come is a High Pass filter, but I was never satisfied. This tool makes it easy. I just tried this and what I really like about the separation is the ability to pull out the High Frequency and then perform noise reduction on that image with some subtle sharpening and then recombine. This completely eliminates noise that, if using noisXterminator alone, would otherwise leave too soft of an image.
Your scripts have been one of the best additions to my workflow. Congratulations on an outstanding year and bringing these tools to the masses.
Thanks so much!!
Great stuff, Frank! Happy New Year!
What an astonishing 2024 you had! At this rate I would wary of burning up in the atmosphere in 2025. Thanks for all your hard work and the massive improvements you have provided to PI. I still have issues with satellite removal picking up all inputs and leaving artefacts and something I didn't see before with parts of a trail crossing the galaxy body unmolested. I used .1, .2 and .05 sensitivity and everything went to output in each case and apart from the 'new' issues which can be corrected manually it is still one of my most valuable tools. I will email you the analysis. Cheers and Happy New Year. Ian.
Franklin, Great to hear about the update to the Sat removal tool. I had downloaded the older version last week and ran it on a few images with really faint trails and noticed that it failed to remove them. Looking forward to trying this new version.
Going to have to let me know how it goes. Should be much improved even with the defaults
Thank you! You have completely changed my workflow with your scripts. Processing is so much easier now, with better results Thanks to you. I can only imagine what 2025 will bring! 🎉😊
Great addition to the suite Frank, All the best for the New year to yourself and family
Everything in the frequency separation works except the combine. I get Error: LF and HF dimensions don't match. How is that possible? If I save both the LF and HF and compare the image properties the images are off by 1 pixel in both width and height. When I look at the original fit dimensions the HF is off by one too large and the LF matches dimension. So the image pixmaps are not being created equal!!! (Using Linux)
@@KZgun4hire i think it is wavelet sharpening in linux right now. I will not have access to my comouter for over a week, so if you want to try just doing the simple sharpening and combining or processing the hf outside of SAS and let me know
@@setiv2 Confirmed!!! I left the wavelet sharpening till last and when applied it broke. Undoing the wavelet enhancement fixes the problem but of course no wavelet.
Wow. Thank you very much. I wasn’t up on the frequency sharpening. Very cool. Happy New Year. Mine just got a whole lot happier.🎉
Happy new year!!!
Thanks for the new year present
Hi. Thanks for also incorporating this as a script in PI.
Thanks Franklin. Your tools are, if not already, big players in the workflow. Happy new year to you, and big thanks for all your work.
Another awesome update
Happy New Year❤🎉😊
thanks Franklin.!!!!!Happy New Year
Amazing, as always! Thank you for this year, wish you an awesome 2025!
Thank you very much friend for your work, it is wonderful. I have a problem with MAC. After doing the installation on December 31, and having previously downloaded Cosmic C., when I run the SUITE, after carrying out the image process (Execute), the resulting image is not generated, I cannot change between Original and Current, it is like if you lose the image.
Previously it worked for me.
After this, I tried downloading the DEBUG for MAC and it doesn't work either. Any advice? Thank you so much
Did you give it permission to run via privacy and security?
@@setiv2 Yes of course
Bravo 🍾 encore..!!.excellent boulot de ta part..c’est cool 👍.
Wiiii, Happy new year.
Hope you continue I 2025 😊🎉
What is frequency in this context?
spatial frequency in the image. not spectral frequency of stars or anything like that
I can't seem to find it in pixinsight, all the other scripts are there
Be sure you have updated and if it isnt there then go to scripts->feature scripts->add. Navigate to c:/pixinsight/src/scripts. Click Select Folder. PI will then go through and add any it misses during the update
@@setiv2 everything is up to date but it doesn't appear in feature scripts. I have a mac running pixinsight and everything is up to date.
@@setiv2 all good it wasn't featured I readded the script folder and all should work now
cheers
idk why but the suite instant crash when i load the comsic clarity folder
You click the wrench icon and point it to the folder for cosmic clarity and it crashes? You must have cosmic clarity in a write protected folder or something along those lines
@@setiv2 yeah, im gonna do some research, ty 👍
It didn't crash when:
-you select the lower folder of the cosmic clar one
-you execute it as an administrator
