Really enjoyed this! I didn't find it chaotic but rather magazine like. Never been a fan of Jaylen Brown but loved the video clip. My opinion of him as a player hasn't changed but as a person; it's rising. For some reason this team not only has got me expecting 35+ wins but has left me wanting more. I usually temper my hopes and expectations with a dose of reality but for this team I'm all in for their sakes as much as my own. It's been some time since the Raptors were so plain likeable
I feel like Charles list was put together with top options on teams he think will be real good with a couple exceptions. It seems more like a ‘top fantasy basketball producers’ list than a best in the nba
Great point about Jalen Green. I think he is very overrated and not sure what Houston was thinking. Maybe they decided to take the L and retain the asset since they won major with the Sengun contract. I still cant believe he didnt get the max...
Portal is a decent center who has value. But he gets hurt lots and his age doesn't fit the rebuild. If raptors don't trade him can raptors make playoffs yes but by not trading him while he has value hurts Raptors chances of getting a great prospect who could change raptors from good team to a great team. I believe raptors have a prospect in Comanche who is the future center who could be the next Greek Freak he that athletic and very fast but he is very raw since he started basketball ball late and is super young. Comanche would be in his first year college if he was in USA. Raptors are close to taking a giant leap but they should trade Portal and Brown. Get some really good young prospects and raptors could be the next Boston Celtics.
As much as I’m not a huge fan of jakobs inability to space the floor. He has high iq, and a professional calming demeanour . Scottie is still in the early stages of leadership and jak is that proven pro you need on the court with young players. It’s one thing to have mentors on the bench, but jak is important. Different story it we’re really bad but we have a ton of youth and more coming. You still need some proven nba guys around and that’s Jaks role .
How about comparing Quickley and Barrets contracts with OG's? OG and the Knicks got absolutely embarrassed by the Celtics last night and he was accompanied by one of the so called best permitter defenders in the NBA in Mikal Bridges along with Jalen Brunson who actually is a tenacious defender so there is NO excuse for OG that he's on a bad team and it's not his fault. He was also totally useless on offence only taking a few forced shots that from my memory weren't even close and resulted in baskets on the other end. Our contracts will age like fine wines while OG's will age well like vinegar, would it be a wild take to say the Raptors will actually exceed the Knicks this year? The Knicks were a total joke not that long ago and if there's anything I've learned in my many years as a sports fan it's that things in the NBA change fast!
hey Robert, would you mind considering stop talking about Paolo Banchero? The problem is you’re preaching the slander to a wrong audience. We already know that Scotty is better and it’s almost the same thing you had with cade, we know that our player is better than them and you’re just keep preaching in the same thing to get to a point that we already agree with right maybe they’re a couple of guys or dumb. I just want to trigger you and make you angry, but everybody knows Scotty is better than those two and if it’s another platform, sure you can preach that but here everybody knows and it’s just getting a little bit annoying. And I am telling you this ad long time listener.
