Nobody is arguing that lebron is a bad player. But what people mean when they say clutch is coming up big in those moments. It just is what it is. Lebron not clutch. This whole thing about being "clutch" has nothing to do with the last few minutes of games, it's those iconic moments like making bryon Russell fall or moving to center for the last game of the finals.

LeBron been clutch his whole career. He been clutch since high school actually won multiple national championships and tournaments in high school, then throughout his entire career save for one series he was either scoring the most in the fourth out of either team or scoring and assisting the most out of either team in the fourth quarter of games. Throughout each regular season from 2006-07 up through 2018, he was always top 10 in fourth quarter and clutch scoring. Thats 11 years of constantly carrying teams down the stretch of games but never getting credit for it from the media and every non- LeBron fan. Hes the only player where people outright deny things hes capable of. For example we all acknowledge currys shooting abilities and ball handling, but imagine if there were media pundits still to this day questioning if curry was the best shooter of all time or if he changed the game. You would look at the pundit as insane. Now take LeBron. Constantly clutch and leading the league in fourth quarter scoring but gets called a choker and "doesn't have a clutch gene", "not a closer". Same goes with his shooting. Throughout this video he was constantly shooting well from 3 hitting tough jumpers from all over but people will look you in the eye and say LeBron cant shoot. Would a player who cant shoot opt for a step back jumper from 3 with igoudala in their face for a game winner? Hell no zion or giannis or shaq is taking that to the rim 100% of the time. Them niggas cant shoot. Dont get them confused with Bron.

I don’t personally think getting layups is nearly as clutch as shooting. Maybe it’s because I’ve never been big enough to play that ball game well at all. But charging and coming downhill from the arch and pushing anybody who gets near you with the ball cradle like Derrick Henry just doesn’t do it for me. Scary to watch as a fan of the other team- but just doesn’t do it for me.
Being clutch is about winning. Playing pro sports is about winning. And anybody who has ever played basketball knows that a layup or dunk is the highest % shot you can get, not a 3 pointer, or even worse, a mid-range jumper. But I'm just being rational here. That said, a buzzer beater from 40 ft where the ball stays in the air for like 3 seconds is the most emotionally satisfying, I agree ;)
@@nont2712 Bron was open. Steph was well defended. He actually has 2 defenders near him. Why do you think KD passed it to Steph? He knows Bron aint that guy in the clutch. Even if he gets the ball he will just drive hard and guess what he'll do? HE PASS IT IN THE LAST SECOND!!

Well you gotta remember MJ and Kobe had totally different play styles than Lebron. They were primarily perimeter players while Lebron mainly dominates inside the paint. So obviously Lebron is going to be more efficient overall cause a majority of his points were dunks and layups. He was never a better free throw or midrange shooter than MJ and Kobe while being a slightly better 3 point shooter but that’s only because he shoots way more threes due to this 3 point dominant era while MJ and Kobe never had to shoot that many due to their eras being more focused on inside and midrange shots. The fact that Lebron only shoots over 50% for his career shows how poor he was at scoring outside the paint with only 38% outside 3 feet. He’s obviously very efficient overall when compared to most players in NBA history because of his longevity and how well he’s been able to maintain his skills and IQ. I’m not hating on Bron but the whole efficiency thing needs a lot of context and still he’s only 1% more efficient than MJ who was a midrange and inside master and also his wizard years brought his efficiency down a bit too. Also Lebron didn’t reach 50% FG percentage until his last year in Cleveland so that’s not great for a guy who mainly drives to basket.
That's what happens when you're being guarded in highly contested shots, and not just driving layups like Lebron, the only reason for Lebron's high%, is because he's mostly a run and dunk player. So don't bring up Kobe's %, just to help Lebron's case.@@Angelo-vk8wp

The nerves clearly got to him in 2011. I think he should embrace that narrative as a story of redemption and mental fortitude because I have so much respect for him for overcoming that type of embarrassment on the world's stage, his teammates wondering about him, and the continued laser-like scrutiny from millions ready to pounce to claim you're mentally weak, even when their interpretations of a moment are clouded by emotion, or the claims are statistically illogical.

The people who calls out Lebrons total missed shot are fans of Kobe and Jordan who both have less FG percentage than LeBron 😂 crazy

@@Darshdev232 These are literal facts and statistics, kiddo. You're just saying that because you're trying to belittle me as a LeBron fan. Don't act dumb. Lol
@@Binnieishere drop the link to your proofs dumbo
Woah, chill out... From where exactly did you find these so called "stats"???
wait, don't tell me it is from only fans....
Can you do Kobe and MJ
He missed the wide open 3, and the Nuggets won the series last year. I rest my case
So you miss important shot and you're not "clutch" I guess litterally no player qualifies then not kobe not mike litterally no one 😂😂 you dumb as hell
You overweight and balding. I rest my case.
You don't know nba history or basketball at all do you.
@USUE_Collxn ok and your point is?
any legend you can think of.. Jordan, Kobe, whoever... i guarantee they have missed wide open 3s and game winning shots, and didn't win every playoff series they were in... only case you rested is that you're a LeBron hater
Bro nonstop is the goat ❤
I just don’t understand why people think he isn’t clutch.
This narrative is sickening. This should not be a question anymore. Yes he is clutch. Thank you for your video good sir
Playoff Buzzer Beaters
LBJ - 5
Kobe - 1
He had more buzzer beaters in a week span than Kobe had his whole career 😂😂😂
Elimination Game and Game 7 numbers
LBJ - 34/11/9
Kobe - 22/6/4
Seems he raises his game in the biggest pressure moments
Horry buzzer beater v Sacramento in 2002 (off a Kobe miss)
Fisher buzzer beater 0.4 seconds v Spurs in 2004
Fisher game tying shot v Orlando with 4 seconds left in 2009, then game winner with 30 seconds left in OT
Pau game winner down 1 v OKC in Game 6 2010 (off a Kobe miss)
MWP buzzer beater v Phoenix in 2010 (off a Kobe miss), and game winner v Boston in Game 7
Why so many? I bet you can’t list the same quantity of GW from LBJs teammates, whilst also not being able to give me close to as many GW shots in the playoffs Kobe hit compared to LBJ
LBJ stats are: 20 made out of 114 shots with 5 seconds and the game on the line. That’s not clutch.
@@awesomereviews1561 That’s regular season.
Now do playoffs and compare to Kobe
Everyone knows LeBron folds under pressure the most in playoffs .
@@kauffamn1016 And yet, the evidence says otherwise.
Elimination games and Game 7s:
Kobe - 22/6/4 on 42% shooting
LBJ - 34/11/9 on 54% shooting
Explain that?
Just like how Johnny Football is bigger in Cleveland than LeBron is right? Skip is a genius.
HE IS
Yeah maybe he isn't as clutch as MJ or Larry.
But he definitely is.
Actually I think he wasn't clutch (I don't mean terrible but I also wouldn't say clutch) in the begging of his career.
However I think after 2011 Lebron was really clutch.
So I think he is clutch throughout his career.
Edit: Because I'm getting tiered of this OK , let's say Larry instead of Kobe.
Happy now?
Kobe was overrated ASF in the clutch that man bricked so many shots that just get forgotten about
Kobe? Clutch? The man got carried by Shaq most of his career. Check out his Playoffs efficiency numbers and see the truth.
Kobe’s clutch reputation is extremely overrated.
It’s all based on him biting his jersey, making mean faces, having a catchy brand and not being “afraid” of taking the last shot. Almost very little based on stats and facts.
Here’s a fact. Kobe has way worse elimination stats than LeBron and even James Harden of all people.
He also averages a very paltry 22 PPG in Game 7s whereas LeBron averages 35 PPG.
@@1wayroad935 His playoffs efficiency numbers are fine (considering that the avarage player was more inefficient back then because of the defence, and that in his best years he literally had to take every shot)
@@1wayroad935 You clearly never watched those games if you think shaq carried. Kobe drew the defense many times making not only easier for shaq but his team too. Not only that offensively it was harder to score in that era and Kobe still found a way to not only score but was clutch when needed. Also if Shaq was this carry god why couldnt he win anything without Kobe? He had Penny and Ron Harper and still couldnt get it done. Kobe carried if anything, you looking at numbers doesnt even show the true picture, you have to watch the games.
I honestly believe the whole goat debate clouds people better judgement when it comes to LeBron. Some people can watch this video and STILL say he's not clutch because they feel if they give him credit for anything, it somehow takes away from MJ.
If you need to ask, you probably know the truth is NO, but trying to justify a Yes. You don't ask if MJ or Kobe is clutch do you? 😂
Because they have a mythology and narrative machine behind them, despite numbers showing Kobe was not clutch. Those same numbers show LBJ is clutch, but has a media that created a narrative he wasn’t
kobe is literally the most occasionally clutch player
Kobe clutch? 😂
I don't ask you if your parents love you.
Lebron is not only clutch but he has all the skills in basketball that cannot be compared...Longevity that has maintained a high level game only a GOAT can do.
Nope. MJ > Kobe > a whole bunch of other guys > Lebron
You literally slapping it on your face
facts so so called clutch player cant even win with stacked teams.
You can't be serious 💀
@@theultimate341Kobe had 3 super teams and failed to win each time 😂😂😂
@@hardwoodthought1213 Kobe didnt have 3 superteams if you actually believe that youre braindead lol.
Lebron is clutch..no debate needed..
If people are still debating if LeBron James is clutch when the stats, film and everything else proves that LeBron James has been clutch his whole career then those people are haters and/or don't know much about sports let alone basketball at all. LeBron James is one of the most clutch athletes of all time no matter the sport and he is top 3 all time in basketball history when it comes to being clutch
They gone hate on this
The 2024 Olympics finally settled this debate but ik already😂
Judging a 22 yr career by 6 games in yr 8 is just crazy
This guy is clearly more cluch than kobe
I bet you put a lot of time and research into making this video.
Your work does not go unappreciated.
You did an outstanding job.
This video (should) resolve all questions and doubts on who is the GOAT.
Thank you so very much!!!
3:57 according to people who hates him as a player. He should just have lost this series so that he didn't have a finals losing record😂 aren't they all crazy?🙌🤣
Men lie women lie but numbers don't!!!
I'm a big Lebron fan. Thank you for this video. Clutch. Goat.
If you are a true NBA fan, how can you not appreciate a player like Lebron.
man, 2018 LeBron completely buried this debate. dude had 2 buzzer beaters in the playoffs and went crazy in that game 7 against Boston. no way people still debate this after what he did that year, even if you discount 2016 as a one-off (not sure how one could do that anyway)
Imagine if early cavs LeBron had just one other great player on his team 😭
LeGM CLUTCH PLAYER PERIOD 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😅😂😂😅😂😅😅😂😂
-86 plus minus in nba finals.. underperformed in finals and got saved a few times.
now that CPOY is now here to stay, I really wonder who'd been the respective winners of said award each year. Lebron having three before 2010 is crazyyy
Lebron is ranked 4th in game winners with 7 in 21yrs. MJ has 9 with less time, Kobe has 8, and Joe Johnson has 8
NBA Clutch Points should be 3 or 2 mins below. Same with OT.
Not 5mins and the whole OT,
ye because otherwhise lebron as a 20% fg in this situation you cant have that🤣🤣

how is this even a question at this point? i don't even like lebron and i still know that he is one of the most clutch players ever
Insane people are still criticizing lebron for "not being clutch" even after watching almost 22 years, 4 titles, 4 mvp awards, a few playoff buzzerrbeaters, an iconic block, and a 3-1 comeback...
😂😂😂😂😂😂 What a joke of a question, this is how you different the casuals from people who actually watch basketball
I feel Skip really messed with people's minds. Like he'll say anything against lebron no matter how good lebron does in a nba game. That was the problem. Even after good games from lebron, Skip would always find SOMETHING against the man. At this point, Lebron is clutch and his resume proves it! You can say he's not all you want too but just look at his career and numbers
Almost at 1 million 🔥
The nerves clearly got to him in 2011. I think he should embrace that narrative as a story of redemption and mental fortitude because I have so much respect for him for overcoming that type of embarrassment on the world's stage, his teammates wondering about him, and the continued laser-like scrutiny from millions ready to pounce to claim you're mentally weak, even when their interpretations of a moment are clouded by emotion, or the claims are statistically illogical. What better arc than to come out of that as the most clutch player in history? It's like a children's story. He could have become Karl Malone (I'm talking about on the court) and other superstars across sports.
