Nice patch, and excellent patching notes- an example to other YTers. Having only recently installed my Marbles (clone), I shall take this as valuable inspiration - thanks!
thanks so much you helped me revive marbles with this patching set up ! I was a little stuck in a rut and was looking to replace it but it will live on in my rack for now
i'm battling back and forth which one to get...the Atumbra Cara which is a redesign of the Marbles...due to space the Cara seems like it can do what the marbles can do...have you ever heard of this Atumbra Cara?
I don't care for the redesigns. The factory MI modules are the size they are because they've been designed that way. Sure packing more into a smaller space is useful on one hand but hugely compromises the work put into making it and how it handles as an instrument. Obviously you also miss out on the amazing customer service that comes with MI modules.
_"x2 is feeding a pre-sampled, quantized, pentatonic minor scale to Plaits v/oct input"_ - How do you know what scale it's feeding if Marbles doesn't have any scale switch, display etc.?
Because I'd saved a pentatonic minor scale to that preset. There are 6 memory locations, indicated by one of the LEDs being green, orange, red, flashing green, flashing orange and flashing red.
Erstlaub this is a lovely patch. Please excuse my confusion, but I see you outlined a SH-01 sequencer, is that what is driving the second voice (& what exactly is the second voice please, is it the SH-01 itself? Cheers!
The clock input clocks the module to an external clock, the rate input adds the cv to the rate control which with nothing plugged into the clock input controls the rate of the internal clock.
Very, very lovely and peaceful. My baby girl Luna seems to love it also :)
Blimey, that's beautiful.
Beautiful. Really nice set up, and the result is sooo sublime. Just gorgeous and mellow. Exactly the right mood. Thx
That is fucking so simple but totally brilliant. glad i saw this video.. marbles is at the center of most of the modular stuff I do these days.

Very nice. Appreciate the detailed notes in the video, too. Thanks for sharing.

No Rings at all?
Is there another voice? sounds poliphonic and going in other directions at times
Yes, the voices are outlined in the description above.

FWIW It seems that you are using Y to modulate the rate and not the clock? i.e.- you don't have anything plugged into the clock..
The clock input clocks the module to an external clock, the rate input adds the cv to the rate control which with nothing plugged into the clock input controls the rate of the internal clock.
cool, what module is hiding there ? :))
Tune in next week...
you can count on it
I'm going to bet it's Stages, but what it does, I don't know~
next week is here :)))))
