I love how they added trains and still managed to make the trains extremely customizable as opposed to presets
I mean, it is the Create Mod. It's kinda the whole point right.

There is a secret thing you briefly mentioned which is massive for other creations using minecarts, like boats. Superglue appears to no longer used entities in favor of the highlighting system, this should mean that large moving vehicles are much less laggy as they just don't need hundreds/thousands of entities
Also, gluing large things is way easier because you can just glue the area of the build and not worry about if you missed a block or 2.

@@bozo460 keeping superglue in your offhand slot should've automatically glued when placing a block, so that issue was already gone as long as you knew about it.
if any of you have played factorio im pretty sure who worked on this has played a lot with factorio's trains and it looks so fricken cool good job to the create mod team

@@Shisiiii I actually thought that when the fabric version pf Mekanism is done I saw no real reason to stay on forge. (I do however think that full steam is only out for forge so your point stands)
The important thing is that i don't want to say you can't play fabric mods and don't want to say that forge is better. (It was meant to be a joke, i just saw that that playing create mod really felt like playing some fabric mods)

Some quirks about this update:
Display links can link to sign to show text on
Trains cannot be removed from the world if Its not at a station
Area glue will stay in its area at all times, even if the glued object is moved or gotten rid of entirely. Also, glued objects will stay glued even if they are removed from the glue area, but unglued objects will be glued.
Single bogey trains can't turn the train part separately from the bogey, they will stay facing the same area.
Trains will de-rail when they crash
You can re-locate trains with a wrench, it tells you this when you derail a train.
Trapdoors and Doors work on moving objects, but fence gates do not.
This is awesome but the real question is how many “chuggas” go before the “choo choo?”

The implementation of this mod is astounding. This should just be implemented in its entirety to the game. I doubt Mojang could pull it off as well as the mod devs, but if they could I would love to play this in both versions of the game. It would change everything for me.
It's good as a mod, not as an actual feature in the game.
It's depth and complexities completely change the flow and function of vanilla minecraft.
@@Corzappy honestly redstone is more complicated than this, but I do get what you're saying. create being added into vanilla is more of a pipe dream than anything
@@appleonshoe845 I never said Create is more complex, I just said that it has it's own unique complexities.
Redstone has far more obscure interactions that aren't readily apparent unless you discover them through rigorous testing or learn from someone else.
Create on the other hand works off of real life mechanics like gear ratios and assembly lines, where it's interactions between components can be both obvious and obscure depending on what you're trying to make.

idk if you know but the tracks can go through nether portals! Compare it with immersive portals and it can be made into non euclidean train ride
I'm exited for immersive portals forge to update to 1.18 so I can get an infinite train
Now I want to see someone build a model railway using immersive portals and Create. It would be so fun having one of those in the corner of your base.

I love how factorio made such a perfect rail signal system that basically every game or mod uses the exact same system. First Satisfactory, now Create.
you mean the same system used in transport tycoon back in the 90's? and also every game with trains ever made.. oh and let's not forget about real life train, they also copied the same signal system.

The excitement is palpable and I love it!
This addition to the create mod might be my favorite updates in a while. It's so much fun playing around with my friends
Just goes to show that these large in-depth technical Minecraft mods are not a thing of the past. Create is going in the Hall of Fame with Thaumcraft and BuildCraft (among others of course, those two just come to mind)

1: Minecraft Trains! I know we had Minecart linking in this mod and there were plenty train mods but these trains really fit Minecraft! They are fully customizable!

Immersive Railroading has existed forever, though only going up to version 16.5 currently and hasn't been updated since. Create mod is not nearly the first, as even some mods pre-date Immersive Railroading, IR is just the most advanced before this.
