I’m glad of the new update there is a way to make blocks move without them being block by block, and instead moving pixel by pixel or even less depending on the speed.

its really complex trying to make mario kart, because of all the needed models and features, not to mention car collision will be needed, using this method to make a car would be less of a driving game and more of a walking game

this inspired me to make a flying platform using the same technique and it works in bedrock edition! I don't don't how to add turning so I made it look the same in any horizontal direction.

the block that is the clone command pasting is based on is the one with smallest coordinates. it means that command will place the structure’s northwest lowest corner on you

you can use structure blocks to copy/save anything including ENTITIES, like items in an item frame! and (idk if this command is different or even exists on java cuz I play on bedrock) use "/structure load mystructure:put whatever you named your structure here" and it might work, you can even turn the structure with the command (idk if you can do that in java but I know you can in bedrock)!

As a failsafe for clone commands where you couldn't flick the lever, make it so it doesn't work in something like survival or creative
I've noticed the sharp turns, would it be okay if you make several different variants of the cars and have a code where it's a "Lane Change" in which you slowly move to the right or left while staying in the same direction?

It can do it slowly if it's travelling at highway speeds. (Move left or right while still facing in a single direction)

You should’ve just used /structure. It lets you save the structure in the world file forever so you don’t have to have the original still in the world, and you can rotate it so you don’t have to have 4 separate versions for each direction. Also it saves entities so you could’ve kept your item frame wheels

Structures are slower to load and require additional commands to power the structure block
You don’t have to use the structure block, you can just use the /structure command which does the same thing but just in a command block. That way it’s just as fast as any other command

You should add doors to the car, put the command blocks inside the car, and put a lever that activates the movement. You switch it and it will activate the moving version, replacing the current one and replacing each time you move, and then pressing the lever again will deactivate it while leaving the car there.

Amazing, it would be cool if you could make the car understand the laws of physics, a can that drove on the land and can go up land (blocks, cliffs etc…) would be insane!
I've been working on structure block vehicles and so far this isn't possible (at least on Bedrock) so I usually make planes instead

@@ctdirect5858 Instead of using blocks, create the same structure out of armorstands. Make then invisible and have the blocks of the build on their heads.
Next, have them located relative to a mountable entity (a horse would work). Using the "execute at [name]" command will let you teleport the entities relative to the horse regardless of where the horse ends up.
