The French Connection | Amaretto & Cognac

- Today we're going to make a little after dinner drink known as the french connection. This mixed drink is simple to make, and is on the IBA list of classic cocktails.

If cognac sipping is a bit much for you and you want to round out the flavor profile a bit, just cut it with sweeter product like disaronno amaretto, why not? It works well, it's not sticky sweet and the two flavors seem to compliment each other well.

1.5 oz Cognac
1 oz Amaretto

Disaronno is delicious w anything
YES!!! The French Connection is one of my favorite Saturday night go-to's. Late night, kids in bed, second half of a movie, this drink in hand... ah, perfection. Really is the perfect drink to chilllll and conclude the night with.

As a Sabres fan, I'll need to make this.
My favorite is The Godfather with a peaty scotch - I'm heading to the store tomorrow to grab some Cognac!
I've even poured the French Connection over a bowl of French vanilla ice cream... because I'm just "extra" like that. 😂
I'll often pick up one of the tiny bottles of disaronno at the liquor store just to have a bit around for this kind of drink. Don't have em often but always a nice experience.
opposite of me, I buy a big ass bottle and refill my smaller bottle when needed :)
