The green stuff was vomit that they use when threatened. I’m assuming they are some kind of butterfly, since they lay eggs singly under leaves, which would explain why there are only 4. They might also be moth larvae that found their way in when they were smaller

Any grammastola, aphonopelma, brachypelma or tlitlocatl. Those have the easiest to care for species. I started with a grammastola pulchra. Arizona blondes, like Exotics often says (and like yellow said) are great as well, but have been known to go on random hunger strikes that usually last longer than the other 3 genus

In Texas we have similar green caterpillars that we call tomato worms. They get huge voraciously eating the leaves off the plant. Also, if you hold them they let out a weird shriek. They do web. That's what the cocoons are made out of and attach to a stem. You need a LOT of leaves.

If I recall, caterpillar would only eat on certain* plants.. so.. this requires more research then just using any plant* to feed them with..
(Though its kinda interesting that u found them in your tarantula enclosure, hopefully we could all see their transformation into a butterfly/moth)

i've touched a catterpillar once and had burning itchy hands for over 2 weeks. I'd be careful with those. Some of m can be a pain in the butt.

As I think this caterpillars belong to genus Leptosia. Their host plants are Cleome rutidosperma,Rorippa nasturtiumaquaticum and Capparis zeylanica.

I think they are Leptosia as well, considering the location and caterpillar size.

They look like cabbage moth caterpillars which are a pest, however I used to throw them into the webs of Saint Andrews Cross spiders in my garden and watch the spider spin their webs around them and eat them. It was sooooo cool and is how I cured my fear of spiders. Im in Australia

I looked it up and they look a lot like cabbage white caterpillars. They eat cabbage and other organic plants like broccoli leaves.
