    Suggestion: Add a follow me feature similar to what is on some drones. I imagine the player would wear a remote style transmitter that the machine tracks and shots the ball to that location

    I would use a remote left and right button (manual) or auto tracking feature. Also if you can convert the nets to a see-through mesh sort of like a fish line, it would make it even better.

    Just got my unit Wednesday October 19th, waisted 2 workouts trying to get the telescopic poles to slide, 2 where jammed into each other, locking pins bent, and the do not slide out very well. Without the net fully operational it does not work.
    With that being said, I can see myself using this tool for hours. It is portable! It stows away nice and if the poles worked can be easily set up quickly. The cost would be worth it, other than the poles it is well built. My hope is the grind will send me replacement poles ASAP so that I can fully enjoy this tool. Needs a little tweaking.

      It can be assembled by one person. It weighs 110 pounds + comes with durable wheels for easy transportation.

      Frist the grind machine looks awesome,(!) but if you have a very limited budget and just need to shoot in volume at home. all you need is a 10 piece of conduit mounted to the top of the back board, two eye hooks at the ends of the pole, vinyl coated clothesline and a place to attach about 21-25 feet from the pole. a 15x14 (approx) piece of fruit tree netting (if you can't afford stronger netting) it will need to be replaced every couple of years but shouldn't cost more than $7.
      I went from being a very average shooter to being a deadly accurate 3 point shooter as an adult. I recommend an oversize ball to accelerate the process-use both size balls so that both feel natural. The ball is returned on all makes, and over 95% of missed 3s. Free throws have an even higher return rate.Self evaluation of form is essential for the best results, but the potential for self improvement if you practice with a efficient mathematically and mechanically sound form.
      'Once you put the hours in (and its fun) just the occasiional long session keeps you at your best when go to an actual game at the gym. IIf you can afford this system, I say buy it so that you can take to any gym or playground., but if its out of range, give me a reply and I can explain the details of the dirt cheap but effective return net that catches almost every errant shot. It's not portable but it does detach easily if you build it right, its about $25. you don't get a pass, but the ball rolls down the net and come right back to you pretty quickly. I loved to hit 50 or 100 shots with a bigball (11.5 inches) and also a regulation (9.5 in diameter) ball using both sizes right before leaving for a men's league game. I would arrive ready to score and often hit several 3s before the opponents suspected I was a deadeye 3 point shooter despite my average height (5-11) and age (now 64), and still playing full court- and that I had never played full court until i was about 30. Only wish I had had this at home when I was growing up. Once more, I applaud these guys and wish them much success!

      @rafap1719 2 роки тому

      shot every 3 seconds - it is doable, at least for multi ball systems like dr dish or the gun - actually those can shoot even more frequent(probably 1sec is minimal interval)

    As an owner of 16 companies, I see clips of the ball going in, I see clips of the ball shooting out the machine. Why don't I see a clip of the ball going in and shooting out the machine in one clip. What you hiding. Is there a time delay for the ball to reach the channel for it to come out.
    Be transparent.

    It's off putting that they just show people shooting baskets and hardly any parts about the ball return. Seems like you they don't want to see how well... or bad it works. Great commercial for the ball, the rim, the net, the backboard and the court though.

    Am I the only one annoyed that they hardly included any video on how the machine actually returns the ball back? Isn't that the main benefit of the machine? Why focus the video on just shooting and stopping the clip before the ball is returned? Makes no sense.

    I wish you all the best but....
    I thought of something like this when I was 10 but there were a ton of issues beyond weight, materials, strength, concept or design.
    This type of product is UNREALISTIC except for (specific aspects of sports like golf and baseball) but those have cheaper alternatives and not meant for beginners.
    1. Shoot from 1-4’ away from right, left and center until you get your stroke down. Slowly move back until your comfortable from the foul line. ***If you need this much work you also need a coach or mentor who is helping with your mechanics (hand placement, follow thru...) and also rebounding and passing for you.
    BTW a “self” rebound doesn’t break your concentration as much as an enormous net that acts like a defender and will never be on a court in a “live game”.
    Still, it’s inventive and you put some good work into it.

    • @GRINDBasketball
      @GRINDBasketball  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the feedback! Times are changing and technology is evolving. Yes, the machine will not be on the court during a game, however, pretty sure athletes would rather not waste their time/break their concentration getting their rebounds when they could be working on the consistency of their shot. But everyone has their opinions.
