This is the kind of videos that makes me feel like H&S trully cares about us. So thank you for your great airbrushes and keeping in touch with the community. cheers
This is the video I didn't know I was waiting for! Thank you for doing this , I was expecting getting this info from someone other who bought Evo 2024 and tried interchanging parts on his own to see what fits (Dred fx comes to mind), but this was excellent! Everything important explained and suggestions about buying are spot on. Bottom line is, you can change a lot of parts (glad to see a company that does backward compatibility as much as possible), but it really makes sense only changing trigger, needle clamp nut, and maybe needle/nozzle/head set. Replacing back end, and needle/nozzle/head set basically gets it to price range where buying whole Evo 2024 makes much more sense. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for yet another informative and well produced video! I've considered making some upgrades to my 10 year old Evolution but have been holding back because it really just works incredibly well. Seeing this video, however, has not only made me really happy that you take so much pride in backwards compatibility but also convinced me that the best solution for me is to get a brand new Evolution 2024 and pass on my old one to someone looking to get started with airbrushes.
Danke für die detailierte Erlärung und auch das Vorsortieren der wichtigeren Teile. So kann sich jeder sein Wunschgerät upgraden, oder direkt die Neue kaufen (die im übrigen großartig ist)
Aw man I so want to buy the new evolution now :O Just yesterday I realised I can not easily do back bubbles on the classic evolution. I have been using some airbrushes back and forth and on my other two, it works well. But for precise spraying the evolution is my go to. I was doing some blends and it just dawned on me that I can not properly do this due to the shape of the cap. I mean not as if it was a big deal... Just a bit of extra steps added :D I just checked that our local distributor does not carry the new parts yet so I've got to wait a bit for an upgrade chance :D
I already have an Evolution 2024, but it is still an interesting video. Positive are your recommendations if and when the different updates are "worth your money". Thanks for your good engineering.
I love my Evolution Silverline and I wanted to upgrade the Air cap, so bought the 126783 Air cap with needle cap 0.15 / 0.2mm. After I had put it on, I could almost not get any air through, so I returned it from where I ordered it. It is strange because I should fit the Evolution. I saw someone else on Reddit had the same problem. Don't know if there are a difference between the Evolution and Evolution Silverline? 🤔
I just used my new evolution 2024 needle set, but strangely enough the spraycone deviates to the right. Even though it's brand new, I cleaned and refitted numerous times, but to no avail. It seems to be a problem with the nozzle or aircrap, since the problem persists even if I combine them with my older needle (also a .28) I'm out of luck since the seller doesn't give warranty on needle sets. And then, of course, I dropped the needle when I tried to put it back in its tube. It's been a great day 😞 I assume I'm just unlucky, but just letting you know in case there are more stories like mine, which may point to a problem with the newly manufactured sets
Hey buddy… definitely not - as you’ll have seen each airbrush comes with a test card which is from the spray test for YOUR airbrush… and of course concentricity of the nozzle/ aircap interface is a major test both in the manufacturing and assembly phases as well as the spray test. So, it was either damaged in transit or you had a small oops at some point. Having said that, I absolutely feel for anyone who has a bit of bad luck like that in the first use, so please write me immediately on wjs@harder-airbrush.de and we will take care of you and get you a new nozzle set. I can promise you that the airbrush did not leave our factory like that, however 👍🏻😊 Warrick
That is awesome Warrick, thank you so much for your reply. I just emailed you with some further information. Consider your extensive testing, it must've been damaged in transit. Anyway, as I said in my email, this is some next-level customer service. You're the best.
Great video. I’d like to do the suggested upgrades to my Evolution, when are the parts going to be available and where can I purchase them from. I am in the UK.
There doesn't seem to be much info on the various parts on the H&S website, or on retailer sites. This was very helpful and detailed, but I still have questions. Having failed to watch your earlier videos, I believe I messed up my H&S Evolution by over-cleaning. I had an "official" set of replacement seals and replaced everything even though I probably had less than 10-15 hours total painting time. One lesson learned the hard way. I still had some issues, so just to see if it helped, I decided to buy a new nozzle and needle. Since I already had the normal nozzle tip, I bought the one with the split fork tip, I think it is "fine," but it looked like a fan tip to me. Reliability went up, but there is no information about the fine or fan nozzle, how to use it, or if other changes are required. At 20psi, I have paint accumulating on the lower tine (I have it oriented vertically), and then it flings drops onto the model car body. I am sure I am doing something wrong (likely many somethings), but I became so frustrated I bought an Iwata. For now, the Iwata works, but I still want the Evo to work, so maybe I will try upgrading some of these parts. I much prefer to identify the issue rather than blindly throw money at the problem.
Will you do a similar video for the infinity after it launches? Or do the parts here apply to the infinity CR as well? Thanks for making such useful content! I especially love the miniature painting tutorials. Had never thought of adding a metallic to my otherwise Matte space marine colors until I saw your video.
Ah that's great - yes - I really like that effect! We will make a similar video for the new Infinity, absolutely. However, if you take a look at the Giraldez and the Kyiv parts diagrams you can see what upgrade paths exist already for the old Infinity... Hope that helps... or you can get on the pre-sale for the new INFINITY 2024 here... W bit.ly/3AJETgs
I checked the listed local retailers in Switzerland about spare parts for the new Evolution 2024, specifically the 0.28 needle. But none of them do have this product, some of them have the older 0.2/0.4 needles at least listed. So if I wanted to buy a spare 0.28 needle, where do I buy one ? I noticed that the spare parts do not appear in your online shop: Shipping too expensive ?
I’m kind of excited to see the new infinity… show it to me!!! No all jokes aside, this is great news and I’m looking forward to all the new parts and information on the new brushes
Well it's pretty unbelievable... but we're going to be launching at the same price as the out-going model. We're really excited that we've made this possible... W
I've a Evolution Silver Line and a question; if u remove front-cap,nosel and nedel and look from the front straight into the gun, is there a small hole on the right side of the metal-ring which separates the front from the back part of the gun?
are there any updates on valve parts? is it just me or valve rod' brass became more softer in last few years? im using a pair of 11 years old evo + silverline and now thinking about changing them one of them for never version.
The valve body has had an update, yes, for more flow. The plunger has NOT seen any change either in design or material. The other part we didn't change is the nut that holds it in. These are actually the only two parts which were not changed on the new airbrushes :-) W
can we get an update for the squidmar ultra 2024 for the tip / front cause of the many holes in front i can't make a back blow cause my fatt finger won't cover all holes , so i won't use this great airbrush much couse of this problem

As someone who recently picked up a used Silverline this video is exactly what I was wondering about. Thank you so much!

The Satagraph version was always a 2.5 nozzle

Yes absolutely 🤙🏻 W

Are the needles fully compatible? Any differences we need to be aware of?
Needle are backward and forward compatible, just say with a 0.4x mm with 0.4x and you'll be fine. W
Can we get an update on the Infinity please? Looking forward to getting the new trigger on my giraldez infinity
Here it is!

Just use a damp cloth dude.
How about just match the new body solely with the old other parts?
