I was 11 and 12 when my grandfather and I visited Henry’s Lake (We were from Los Angeles). I am 64 now and he is long gone. Your video brought that time back and the lake is still recognizable. More importantly you brought back the feeling and memory of a little boy spending time with his papa. Thank you so, G

We live in Idaho and have camped at that park before and is nice. The bath house when working is a nice hot shower. Idaho campsites seem to be more open than others and not crammed in like sardines.

Fish nibbling on your skin is awesome, my Dad had a private pond on his property which I used to sit in a tube and small fish would nibble on you. It was fun when you put your hand in the water fingers spread and they all would circle it and have a feast!! Tickled off the back. Great memories. Awesome video! Thanks!! Dale - Phoenix AZ

I would have thought you could have dumped at Sawtelle Resort. It's on the left just before you drop into the valley.
We stayed there years ago and you can see Henry's lake from most of the rv sites.

Glad you had a great trip. We were there in 2015 and on our third day had a law enforcement park ranger pull on in front of us going after a speeder. Tried to stop but still t-boned him. Totaled his cruiser and our car. Wife has had two surgeries and lots of PT. I now know whiplash is real! So, although Bears will kill you, Rangers will mess you up. No worries, we forgave the young Ranger years ago. It was an accident. We hope someday we’ll get back to Yellowstone and hopefully have a lot less to remember the second “trip of a lifetime!” Great video, thanks for sharing with all of us.

Me and my wife was there back in 2017. We both agreed instead of driving with the camper. We would just fly out Rent-A-Car get a hotel and it worked out better that way. Pay one price and not worry about maintenance on the vehicles that we were in if they break down. But anyway I found out that the better way to do this and I hope other people remember this. Fly out to Denver and rent a drivable RV. The best one is a G 19 RV body with a Ford 350 truck mounted to it. Perfect size RV for two people it’s small enough to drive around like a large van. Talking to other RVer’s there’s pull offs. Along the roads that you can just pull in. So you’re not tied to one individual campground. And when I was doing the research after I got back home I learned that would’ve been the better way to do it. What he’s talking about having problems finding dump stations. I don’t know what he’s talking about most major towns in Yellowstone if you see a gas station there’s a dump station right behind it. Plus freshwater to fill your tanks. If I go back that’ll be the way I do it. Fly in to Denver Rent a RV go to Yellowstone stay in park. Live out of the RV. And that model does come with a generator. When I added up the hotel cost driving back-and-forth out of the park to the hotel the fuel cost. It would’ve paid for the RV. Plus the time you save driving back-and-forth from the hotel. The hotel was in Livingston MT.

It was so crowded last time I said I wasn't going back again. It is beautiful but if you go go in the late fall after school starts back at least otherwise its too frustrating. Colter was with the Lewis and Clark expedition and stayed in the west when the expedition went back east, Colter discovered yellowstone and people didn't believe him for 25 years. It was originally named Colter Hell.
