Geoff knows how to toy with us😂. That wicked smirk he does right before he drops to the basement is awesome! Geoff stated in an interview that he cannot sing without moving his hands so maybe all the movements come natural to him. I love this song!
I just want to throw in there that, the livechat and comments were filled with love and affection from both Geoff to the fans, and from the fans to Geoff. I mean it always is, but today was next level, and I loved it🥰
You are right, he doesn't lose anything in any range he goes for. I'm sure he would disagree with us :) It really is a testament to how hard and long he has worked on his voice over the years. He is totally amazing and knows exactly how to arrange for himself (and voiceplay) and make it so magical! Love it, always enjoy your reactions!
The biggest advantage bass singers have is their voices deepen and get richer with age. Tenors usually lose their highest notes anywhere from their late 40's to late 50's though a few unique operatic tenors kept their high C to their 70's. Be happy we can enjoy Jeff, Avi, and Tim for many years to come! Loved his version God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
Coming to expect the headphone toss, anytime you listen to Geoff or VoicePlay. Seems like as good a salute as any; goodness knows they always deserve the awed response for the creations they share with us. Geoff is one of the best, most creative artists I'm aware of right now, and it's always a delight to come here and see you recognizing him as the same. He's a dang treasure, and I'm always excited to hear anything he decides to share with us.
You were close. It's an E1. It sounded like you hit it on the first time you tried. Just bring yourself closer to microphone. Geoff is in his early 40's. Love your reactions and you're a fun person all around!
"God rest ye merry" is an archaic English phrase, with a more contemporary wording being "May God keep you joyful." How does God keep giving us this blessing of joy? As the rest of the opening phrases explain, when we are reminded of the day when He sent His Son to be born into our world, so that He could save us from destruction after we had lost our way. "God rest ye merry" indeed!
This is just insanely beautiful! And like you, I love his voice. Also his arrangements. He’s really burning it up these days. You mentioned Tomi P so I hope you plan to check out his Sweet Dreams as well. I’m going to have to sit with that one awhile to fathom all he did both musically and visually.
I think Geoff is actually singing it right! It’s NOT “God rest ye, Merry Gentlemen.” It’s “God rest ye merry, Gentlemen.” We had to research several Christmas Carols in high school choir, this being one of them. And he does it so beautifully too!
Amazing vocals as always. Giving us some teasing with this performance, maybe he thought he was getting too predictable. What you said about Geoff reminded me of the reaction I saw this morning to a video called "Dimash Slaying It In Every Octave". I didn't recognize most of the performances they showed, so I know you won't either. But they show such short segments they wouldn't spoil anything, just enhance your interest. If your interested in watching the video in the first place.
I loved this cover. A friend of mine said they don't like it all because of the tempo change because they like it more towards the original. I said I dont care for tempo wise, I found this cover amazing
This is modelled off the Tras-Siberian Orch. version of the song, so a person who is more accustomed to choral versions will not appriciate it as much.
Harmonizing with yourself is really not easy. Geoff is good at it. Loved his "Sixteen Tons". Peter Hollens is the master of course and the surprising one is Avi Kaplan who does it in both "Aberdeen" and "Change On the Rise". Change in multiple bass voices.
Geoff. Ooof. I couldn't quite tell if that last note was a D1 or a C#1 (edit-- it was E1) but it was so......Geoff. LOL I love the cadence he used. For a funnier side of Christmas try Mission: Jingle Bells by VoicePlay or Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer by Home Free. For the most beautiful rendition of Mary Did You Know listen to Voctave--they sing it with the man who wrote it and he's incredible!
I hope that new fans will keep finding him, and it helps them to know what they are looking for - I agree it's not exactly necessary for those of us who know him.
Hey man I watch your videos all the time and I don’t know if you know who SKILLET is but you should totally do a reaction to one of their songs called (STANDING IN THE STORM) love the vids man
Geoff is 41, and I agree with you that he's getting better all the time, both in vocal dynamics and the complexity of his arrangements!
41???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought he was 30 something!!!
He's aging like a fine wine that man 🥰
Dang he still looks like a 20 something year old man
I'm totally obsessed with Geoff. I have to admit it. He's just phenomenal. And I love this arrnagement. So different.

Geoff even sounds good when Breathing Bass!!!!
One of the best Christmas covers I've ever heard! Geoff is a national treasure!
I just want to throw in there that, the livechat and comments were filled with love and affection from both Geoff to the fans, and from the fans to Geoff. I mean it always is, but today was next level, and I loved it🥰
We Never get tired of Geoff's Runs!!!! Love your reactions Dennis!!! Here's wishing you and your King Family A Very Merry CHRISTmas!!!

The man is getting better with each song.
Geoff's voice is absolutely insane. He never ceases to amaze me and this was beyond beautiful.

What I like about this is that he didn't add a low note for the sake of a low note.
He’s my favorite singer too. ❤️🎶❤️
B1 Chest to E1 Subharmonic.

Geoff have done both of my favorite Christmas songs and he has done them perfectly. Much love ❤️
This was an amazing arrangement and he sang it so well. The singing Geoffs were in fine harmony. Thanks for your reaction
He made us wait for the treat… but that E1 was worth the wait😊🎶
6:17-6:20, Here we have Geoff starting in the attic and sliding into the basement in 3 seconds flat, beat that Santa.
He's done it again. Been listening to the for days.
What a fantastic arrangement. He is getting more creative. Love it!!
Yesss. I was waiting for this reaction. Geoff always comes in full of surprises. It's great.

Geoff!! Fantastic, as always! 🔥💖
love the way he makes it so different
He's my favourite too! He and VoicePlay 🙂
Great reaction!!
The 'Midas' touch?!!!

this is so so so so so so so so good way the end of 2021
Best reaction ever 😁 merry Christmas from Germany 🎅

Great job GC! Beautiful arrangement, very impressive! Blessings Big D!
He not only does it but it sounds good. Not all deep ones sound good. This is my first Christmas song this year. Was not feeling Christmas. Til now.
as someone from new york... no its not hard to do different hand jestures when singing the same song... its literally in our dna
I loved this cover. A friend of mine said they don't like it all because of the tempo change because they like it more towards the original. I said I dont care for tempo wise, I found this cover amazing

There's almost a conductor-like pattern to his hand movements, maybe that makes it easier for him to vary it
Harmonizing with yourself is really not easy. Geoff is good at it. Loved his "Sixteen Tons". Peter Hollens is the master of course and the surprising one is Avi Kaplan who does it in both "Aberdeen" and "Change On the Rise". Change in multiple bass voices.
I’m so happy you reacted to this! This arrangement and Geoff are on fire 🔥🔥🔥 Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄🎁🎄

I agree with all of the above mentioned recommendations! 💖
I would also add Wookie for Christmas to that list
You just came up with the perfect name for him: Geoooff!
I can do the same....hihi he is a exemple for me.
I wish someone could identify how high he goes in this. I’m sure I heard him go higher than I've heard before.
Top here is an A4. He hits that fairly regularly, plus the occasional B4, e.g. Oogie Boogie and Blackbird.
At this point does he really need to add the "Low Bass Singer Cover" part?
Exactly
I hope that new fans will keep finding him, and it helps them to know what they are looking for - I agree it's not exactly necessary for those of us who know him.

Ayooo King D how you been sir!!!🔥🔥👑
Please react to Now United (Na Na Na)(Fiesta)(Parana)(Nu Party)(Ikou) and they have more
K.
Jeoff not is human
He's still not as good as Tim Foust who has totally blown other basses away time and time again
