    When the querent asks specific questions, then the Tarot reader is able to access his/her intuition more easily and accurately, in my experience.

      YES. That’s why I always remind and recommend my clients to ask SPECIFIC questions.

    The best thing that can describe the hierophant with the moon card maybe it's the sign to enroll and study (hierophant) in a school of mysticism and occult that goes deep on the mysteries of tarot (moon) 😊

    Thank you for this video! I have noticed myself leaning on the book meanings less and less as I've worked on my daily card readings, taking more from the Tree of Life numerology and the elements among with the art on the cards. I just wonder how astrology and hermetic tradition fits with tarot decks that aren't traditional RWS, for example the Oak, Ash & Thorn deck I have fallen in love with at the moment. The symbology of those cards is taken more from nature with some RWS inspiration, so I wonder if I should lean more into those correspondences (for example bees meaning hard work and abundance, snails symbolizing perseverance etc) over astrology and Qabbalah.

      I love that deck ❤ it is based on RWS , so many of the images are representative of the rws images. I sometimes gather new meanings from other decks and I just believe that I intuitively was drawn to use that deck for a particular reading. So for that reading, the alternate deck might have a different image which gives an intuitive hit differently than the rws might.

      Ah yes. Astrology, hermetic tradition, tree of life, and many more things all fit together. But it takes a while to bring them all together. That's why I made this year long curriculum: www.tarotmysticismacademy.com/curriculum

    Oh YES when the querent keeps coming back with the same question because they don’t like the answer so the cards are blunter each time… like he’s just not that into you, Brenda.

    When you're talking about moving from abstract to the solid it reminds me of how they trained chickens to peck at a screen as missile guidance. They ended the program because the chickens passed out at high altitudes but when they didn't they were pretty accurate. But yeah, sometimes that's how it feels when you're coagulating a message that's coming through. Homing in from a big map till it resolves into something you can hold in your hand. Thank you for the video

      In my opinion, yes. I think there are some questions that are unethical. And sometimes I feel like the client’s spirit guides (or mine) tell me to stop. I feel like it’s a form of protection.

    • @JoeMonteleone
      @JoeMonteleone  5 місяців тому +3

      When I was younger, I couldn't always read when I was in a particularly emotional state. But after working with my mentor, I learned to clear energy so I can usually read whenever, for myself or for someone else. I recommend not reading pressing issues for yourself, especially in the beginning of your journey. It's much better to get a reading from someone else. That said, I always think it's a good time to practice reading whenever.

    • @JoeMonteleone
      @JoeMonteleone  5 місяців тому +2

      Ethics wise, that's really up to you. I tend to be a bit looser around my ethics than a lot of readers, but that's because I like awareness for myself and all my clients.

    What do you do when you feel like the cards don't give you more information on the question than you already know?🤔

    • @JoeMonteleone
      @JoeMonteleone  5 місяців тому +1

      Great question. This happens a lot. The fix for this has to do with nuance. Most people read only on the first "plane" of tarot, but there are two other "planes" or "contexts" that get more abstract and more mystical as you go. If you already know the information on one level, you'll want to explore where that information is coming from on a more subtle level. The way I help students achieve this is by teaching Hermetic Qabalah and astrology, amongst other mystical traditions. This way, the cards are not just messages but energies to work with, and then you have more active participation in the reading, can get more information, and in a way, change the information/energy to work for you. It's a lot though, and you can't really learn it in a short amount of time. If you're interested, I'll link the curriculum that shows you how I get people there: www.tarotmysticismacademy.com/curriculum
