Sorry, get a real person to narrate. I will not watch another video, even tho this was fairly accurate. Thanks for treating the Corvair with the respect it deserves. The AI narrator just ruined it for me.
Thank you. I will improve videos every day.@@61rampy65
Studebaker did not use a ford engine. They built their own. Also, you made no mention of the R series engines available in the daytona, hawk and avanti starting in 63. The r2 and r3 were supercharged and were dominating at the drag strips during their time. Studebaker also won the land speed record with a R5 avanti which was fuel injected twin supercharged 304 v8 and was the first to do 200 mph. It was the worlds fastest car in 63.
Seeing classic muscle cars always gives me fond memories of my youth.

I bought a 1969 AMX in Vietnam through the PX , my Dad picked me up the DFW Airport & handed me the keys. God it was great!
Not a muscle car but Rambler Americans with the Six especially after 1965 when the new modern shorter stroke block came in tended to be quicker than such competitor economy cars such as the Ford Falcon Six. The 2 barrel carbureted 232 engine was advertised as the "Six that comes on like an Eight" if I remember.
American engineering and flair produced muscle car icons that still stop traffic today, from the AMC Javelin to the Buick GSX.

The 1957 and 1958, the models were equipped with Studebaker's venerable 289or 351 CID V-8s which included the McCulloch supercharger. Add on a manual trany w/overdirve and a 4-barrel carb and up to 385HP (!), those were supercars!

Looks like a good video - BUT - the artificial narration makes this barely mediocre.
Thank you. My recorder is having trouble pronouncing abbreviations. I was unable to edit after the video was published. I'm very sorry about that. Thank you for helping me.
I agree the use of Bots to recite scripts diminishes the enjoyment of a lot of videos on UA-cam. If you read the many of the complimentary comments herein they have kind of a pattern. If you go to the channel submitting the comment you'll see they only have one comment. They are bots well.
Oh no. Thank you for watching my video. I look forward to interacting with my audience more. I am a human.@@JackF99
I agree the narration is poor AI or whatever. Otherwise a good lineup of the challengers at that time. Cheers 🇨🇦
I'm thinking " This guy can't read and didn't get his research done " So it's a robot reading @ 3rd grade level . FEH!

Thank you for your continued viewership, we really appreciate it.
16:00 The Studebaker 289 shares only the nominal displacement with the Ford 289. The bore and stroke are completely different, the Stude's distributor was toward the back (flywheel) end of the engine, the firing order was different, Studebaker V8s used more head bolts, and Stude V8s used helical gears instead of a timing chain for the cam.
Thanks for your information. Hope you continue to watch my videos.
