that pre amp and treble switch are genius, i wish they had that on all of their guitars..................................
Needs one more switch -- a blower switch to remove everything but the bridge humbucker, so you can rawk out after doing the single coil stuff easily.
Everything sounds so detailed and clear, and fat at the same time. Man this guitar just sounds like straight up luxury.
Please please please make some kind of core line version of this, at least a guitar with a similar three pickup layout

I'm curious how much this sounds like a CE 24 vs core 24... since it has maple versus mahogany neck? I have both a CE 24 and a core 24. I love both... but thinking that Mayer may have preferred the more quacky tone of the strat or tele that the CE gives... since he is strat guy obviously the super eagle will have way more tone options... but I'm guessing the bass tones are more like the CE.
I know the flame is real, but it's so flawless it looks like a photo flame.

this should be make in core line with the neck of the silver sky with 24 frets, as in maple as well, I garantie you that will become a best selling model, I will be one of the first customer to buy it

For a cleaner look, our video team sent the amp signal to a mic'd extension cabinet.

greekfreak1980 7 strings are often found in heavier music which isnt really down PRS' alley. Why go to such great lengths for such a pleasant tone when its gonna get muddied up by gain, overdrive, and power chord chugging? Stick to peavey or ibanez maybe?
If only it had three humbuckers 85/15 and a on board effects loop, brass nut and brass bridge. Or 3 90s xp...and not semi hollow.
I always get a chuckle when they say that this is an heirloom passed down from generation to generation. You think I am going to let my son touch this? He would beat it up to within an inch of it's life, hand route a cavity for a Floyd, slap a DImebucker in it and cover it with Misfit stickers. No, he's not touching it. lol

As you folks probably know, this guitar is unaccessible to most. What would be cool is if you made a limited run SE with these electronics. There is this real deal one for sale in Thailand for 17.5 K or so...most folks would be all "Replace clunker car, or Super Eagle II? Hmmm...let me ask the wife...."Hey honey, ..." I think we know, as Paul Harvey would say, how "the rest of the story" goes in the majority of houses and grass huts on that one. Sweet guitar, though (based on viewing from a distance, of coarse and not actually playing it). I get it, though, because my friend bought an all rosewood neck Custom 24 that I directed him to for investment purposes (and yeah, in the end he made some money on it). I had this Egnator Renegade combo at the time with 4 10's in it. That guitar plugged into that amp...I was like "OK, I get it; I get why this guitar costs what it does". Hey, thanks for sharing this video, Paul and folks!
They could bring out the PRS SE EG and put in stacked humbuckers in the slots.

I LOVE PRS GUITARS. IN 1990 I BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL SIGNATURE SERIES #488 of 1,000 AND I LOVE THAT GUITAR BUT IN 2004 SOMEONE STOLE IT AND UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY ONE BECAUSE I AM DISABLED AND DON'T HAVE THE INCOME TO GET ANOTHER ONE WITH ALL THE FEATURES

Imagine if you had a regular gutiar look in your hand, would the sound be worth the money. I think bits the craftmin ship. But it's not the look of the guitar,it's the sound. I don't think it sounds like a ten thousand dollars guitar.( Or more) your looking at the butifuel guitar,and your mind is going farther.
So Moonstone used the bird inlays first, and they made Eagle guitars long before Paul ever built guitars.... Do you guys have an original idea, or you just keep borrowing from other luthiers?

@@josecito976 yeah, until they sue the original builders trying to claim it was their idea first. Then when Jackson Browne shows up with proof it was done before Paul ever built a guitar the case gets thrown out. That's not flattery, that's suing someone who came up with the idea first.

Congrats on the design....Killer fat Garcia hippie bubbles bouncing around head bandana bobbing blonde girls. All one needs is the middle mini-hum with lowered poles? I love this guitar.... They should make a core model same scale and electronics for half price I would consider that. $5K for floating tease leads.
They used the auto wah to give the outro a Grateful Dead vibe.
JM also has a song called Rosie which features a Q-Tron+ very heavily
Also a similar vibe to "I don't trust myself "
Jerry used a MuTron III with Octave Divider before it that sounds muuuuuch better than that at end (or a Q-tron+, I've had both)... & he used an onboard effects loop (not even on this guitar) & unity gain buffer decades ago. And the middle pickup is not close to Jerry. MUST be a split DiMarzio Super Distortion II in middle, not their "custom JM". Still a fine guitar though.

How come you never see john mayer play this? I mean he plays SSS Strats, right? So only thing further away from Mayer's real preferences would be a Gibson explorer, maybe? Or some superstrat with emg's! 😂
