Listening to this album was a JOURNEY. Actually was fully pulled in by not just the music, but the story and universe they have built. Incredible and AOTY for me so far.
Before this album released they were a top 4 favourite band for me. Now they're my favourite band and this is my favourite album ever. Blew me away along with everyone else I've seen react to/listen to it. They've found their sound and quality and I can't wait to see where they go from here. And the fact that their entire discography follows a storyline the vocalist made up??!?! Incredible. AOTY. Album Of All Time So Far for me.
nice shades broski!!!! and it fits your hair/hair style as well very fancy shmancy!!!! the band also reminds me little bit of ice nine kills motionless in white and villain of the story as well btw the last track on the album is actually a cover of one of the most iconic avenged sevenfold tracks ever with the lead singer of cabal Joe Badolato fyi i accidentally missed listening to demon hunter's new album because i did not know that it was released on thursday also the album exile had some cool band/band member collaborations as well which was very cool as well
I get strong Periphery vibes from these guys. It's like if Periphery decided to abandon song structure, this in my opinion is both a good and a bad thing.
i literally missed everyones reaction to anything by this band and idk why. you, even ohrion did a few songs reacting to them in the last few months, but me watching them? nope. i did end up finding this band by myself like a month or 2 ago and i havent listened to anything else since lol, they are too good
Could very well be my aoty, Gloom have always been a top tier band for me but man this album sets them even farther apart from others, they're just doing it better than so many other bands currently
I like it a lot. This like…operatic drama theatre nu metalcore and Mick Gordon slams with more deathcore elements and electronic bitcore mayhem… But, It’s so hard to even really grasp. There’s just so much going on. I really do like it and it’s so interesting in terms of what it’s trying to do; this kinda Coheed and Cambria story telling with a high cyberpunk space dystopian edge… But even after 6 listens it just rebuffs me. I feel like it actively attacks you in a way that works a lot of the time but sometimes the mix gets so lost Like it becomes noise for a bit; which I love, I’m a big The Armed, LOATHE, Black Matter Device fan It’s just sometimes too much. Gotta listen to it more I guess.
The thing is... I feel like the structures changes too much, Its not even about the mix being too chaotic. To me it seems like there are too many changes in tempo, singing, screaming, fast intruments, slow instruemnts, opera and a lot of other shit that it seems uncomfortably overwhelming and you cant quite catch up to vibe with it for a bit. While I appreciate this album a lot, its not something for me I guess. Nonetheless, I really see the artistic footprint it has left and still consider this one of the best albums this year. (musically)
I get you, it's very dense, but this us what I like about this. This is an album on which you must focus to listen. This is what makes them unique to me but I get that it can gets tireing sometime. But we had so much band that tends to go for simpler structures, I think it's great to have a band that fits a lot of ideas in one song
Totally agree with you, when i listened to it the first I liked it but it was too much and even said for myself "I absolutely loved hearing this album, but my brain will need more listens to process whatever I just listened to" if you count this video this is the third time I've listened to this album, every listen it just gets better
@@renesiner5248 personally I LOVE that it has different structures because they really appmy to my preferred music taste... in fact I think they as a band with this album ARE my preferred music taste. I love different structures and heavyness and I've been wanting a sorta prog-symphonic-heavycore band that switches up their styles/genres heaps for SO LONG and Glpom DELIVERED. It's definitely not for everyone, but I adore it.
@@liamblack4840 oh dont get me wrong I’ve been listening to it back to back several times just to kinda get what the story is. But I’m still not quite there yet. It’s a lot. I feel like i have to go through the whole discography to really get what they’re alluding to.
Way too ADD for this amount of guest features. It really takes away from the listening experience. It's just way too many different voices in one sitting. I'm already not keen on duel vocalists in bands but this is just, insane lol. Participation trophies for everyone, weeeee.
The features are there for a reason, though. They're there to take on different roles in the story, as opposed to just having Mikey relay every part of the narrative. It helps make it work even more, imo.
Perfect costume for the reaction, thank you for the love king ❤

This is AOTY and it’s not even close. One of the best albums I’ve heard in the last few years. It’s insane
Facts
Same here! This album came and just took the number 1 spot
Same here, love the theatrics, the heaviness, the strings, the lore. Definitely my AOTY.
they're so different while being familiar & it's so enjoyable
this is in a league of its own, these guys are unreasonably talented
The amount of 10/10s makes me so happy. What an album.
This album's incredible. Why did this year have to release so many bangers?!

Nice heavy catchy grooves with a truly talented vocalist
I hope these guys start to get the attention they deserve. They have always been underrated.
This is my first experience with this band and its easily one of the most fun listens I've ever had with music. And it's a blast to show to friends.
I literally only found them when you reacted to new order. Now this is my album of the year. Amazing stuff and a crazy listening experience
Monique from Reliqa is a feature on the album btw
Can't find a reaction to their new song "The Jericho Protocol"... give it a go - so good! I have it on repeat at the moment!
Love these dudes so much. I hope they blow up off of this album
Love this album! Went from just listening to the album deep into the rabbithole with the lore behind it
This album made me go crazy last Friday!! Listening to it and then reading the lore was amazing
holy fuck this year is so fucking sick for hardcore deathcore and metalcore fans holy shit
We have been spoilt this year for sure!!
The journey that Ive been yearning for. Love this concept album so fucking much.
I never listened to this band prior to this album. And this was the best thing I’ve heard in the year outside of the Devil Wears Prada album.

I love how unique this album is. Such a breath of fresh air imo. His clean vocals are ridiculous
I rated this 8.5, but after many listens i rate it a 10/10

I welcome you to a rise of new kings of modern metal. These guys are mental
1:47 is defenitely my favourite moment in this reaction.
They’re sick! They sound like set to stun ❤
Incredible album, complex yet catchy
This is their best material by far and they were already great

This is the proggiest prog-metalcore album I've experienced in a while.
It’s between this and Norma Jeans new album. Both are my top AOTY competitors
Norma jean is very boring. Only spearmint revolt has some interesting chorus. Any other songs are just dissonance screaming and thats all
@@qwerty70231 to each their own I suppose
very good album. straight my top1 aoty (basically me being bias towards TGITC at all lol). and bog is handsome as always borpaLove
Masterpiece album 100℅.
Aussies fucking killing it this year holy shit 👏👏👏👏👏
holy shit this album smacks too hard
I really like this album!
I’m telling you bro our hollow our home idle waves you missing out.
Oh shit, this album appeared on my Release Radar and I just ignored it, that was a huge mistake.
Which albums also waiting this year?)
You should react to Eternity by A Wake In Providence. Insanely good album
Thats surely in my top 3 albums this year.
What a fuck is this thing ?!!!!!
somehow this album reminds me of Ice Nine Kills a lot
This and Fit for an Autopsy are neck and neck for AOTY for me. What a trip this album was
ALBUM OF THE FUCKIN YEEEEAAAARRRR
I just learned Ryo Kinoshita quit Crystal Lake and I want to fucking throw up. 😭😭😭😭😭🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Vocalist reminds me of the Band
THE THINGS THEY CARRIED -
(melancholia EP)
Sounds similar, and has the same concept on the songs they have.
Have you heard set to stun?
The things they carried are good, just listened! They’re a bit mcr sounding
Best band on the planet
This has some solid moments but its kinda all over the place and too cheesy for my liking
This is so surprisingly pissed
Vocals sound very mid, song structure is all over the place
Hearing issue
It has good parts but it’s a little childish for me. Idek what I mean by that but that’s just the only word I could think for it
I think theatrical is what you mean. And that's exactly what sets this album apart for me. It's like a modern metal musical
@@albreezy26 they're very different while being familiar
Please do something about your background. On the top left, looks like a dog bone, but also balls and a willy. Stop it.
I've not heard the word willy in years haha
