Well akai should be leading the way. They only focus on the mpc etc etc. while NI has a plethora of stuff, hence why maschine will always be behind the mpc

I feel like this is a great way for Akai to refresh there current models without coming out with new gear. They can just update the interface on the touchscreen. This will innovate and elevate your MPC workflow🙌🏾 Bravo👌🏾
This is beyond dope. I think I'm going to install this on my MPC-X LE to learn everything I need to know but keep the old firmware on my LIVE so my productivity isn't interrupted. Can't wait.

Hey bolo you actually can mut the midi in arranger mode you just long press on the part you want to mute and a menu pops up and yiu mute out what you want
I'm new this year as well ... I think slightly knowing the old way will help the transition. I think mostly it's going to just make so much more sense because there were too many disjointed screens to sort through in MPC 2.

Great video @bolo. Two questions that came up for me. 1. Now that we get audio disk streaming. Does 3.0 now allow more than 8 audio tracks in standalone? 2. If you create a new sequence. Is it empty or do the tracks between sequences sync? Thus let's say if you have seqence 1 with drums, bass and an instrument and then create sequnce 2. Does ist have the same instruments or is it still like in 2.x that you either have to copy a sequence or recreate the tracks? If the track setup doesn't sync... How does arrangemet of multiple sequences work?
Okay so salute and shout out to Akai. I ditched my MPC many years ago in favor of native instruments machine 3, now I'm starting to wonder are native instruments still in business and why haven't I seen any updates. Well only one thing to do and that's to go get an MPC.

Hi Bolo, great video. I was wondering is there a way to sample from external source directly to the MPC Key 37 or 61 key, keybed like on the ASR10 and Triton keyboards with out using pads? I'm use to those keyboard workflows I only want to use the pads for drums. If so could you show or explain? Thanks
Looks like you can record drops and stuff, live, by automating mutes in the arranger. Seems like a simpler and more organic way vs. selecting / deleting.
Have they sorted out the loading times for instruments? It was a bit of a PITA having to wait for instrument to load when this machine first came out. Are they streaming in they instruments from the SSD?
Thats smart how they put the sequencer and arranger view on the same page. Also double tapping to get into sample edit/grid view. BUT...the real meat and potatoes...I can see there are still only 8 submixes and 4 send/returns, would have liked to see that increase...CAN WE AUTOMATE ON THE SUBMIXES?...That one is huge. Also can we sidechain with 3rd party plugins. To do real work we need to be able to sc/duck frequencies.

Track mutes are there. They have a main button and are attached to arrangements automation
with a Soft clipper, flex beat, stem separation, and now a nice arrange mode feature , im almost done using Fl Studio for beats now! ..lol sheesh!
