"Mary Wollstonecraft had kids with MULTIPLE DIFFERENT GUYS"? She only had two kids. How multiple can it be? Two guys = "multiple different guys"? Oh, and she married William Godwin - although he was her third partner (with whom she had her second child, the "Frankenstein" author, Mary Shelley btw).

Insightful, entertaining summary. (The form of slavery might have changed over the years, but not the substance--nor will it in the future.)

There should be so many more discussions and awareness of the many women thinkers, philosophers, artists, writers, mathematicians, scientists......
I doubt if many people know that women were treated like second class, worthless people. It isn't that women didn't deserve to become legends or just be respected as individuals and to have power in society and in the family. There were laws and firmly entrenched laws and attitudes that enforced it. What men in power in politics or in the family would relinquish their power?
Is the awareness of women being equal with men complete in this era? Do people even care or do they know the history that brought us to now?

I love your podcast and I am referring tho them; however, doing so I need full details in order to be academically sound and correct - so where can I find details about the narrator and so on; or differently put: how can I cite this podcast on Wollstonecraft correctly?

This is part of a trend with this guy of interjecting non-factual background to push a personal narrative. It’s sad that he feels a need to be so misleading when the truth is so engaging. It takes away from the true heroism of this incredible woman when you interject Bull shit to fit a narrative you find more appealing. Tisk tisk.

Maybe it's late to ask this question, but what are you referring to, specifically? What was he misleading about? I'm asking because I would like to know if I've been misled while listening to him

It's been two years and the author of the controversial comment still hasn't answered. I have one idea of what could be misleading in this episode and it's based on my reaction after having listened to the whole podcast. I was somewhat disappointed. The intro was great but in the end I haven't learnt that much about Mary Wollstonecraft. I get that this is not a strictly educational podcast but more of a thought-provoking one. Personally, I would prefer to learn more about Mary Wollstonecraft rather than about the author of the podcast's take on introducing cultural change. I find the title ”Mary Wollstonecraft” misleading. But regardless of that, I love this channel.

A Doll’s House is a perfect encapsulation of a woman’s status as a spouse and her role in the household, long after Wollstonecraft’s time.

I love that apparently none of the manosphere types know who Mary Wollstonecraft is! YAY!! If you (reader of this comment) are, THANK YOU FOR NOT SAYING ANYTHING.
    For once.
