When you are using the offset feature, I found a trick that I like to use. With something you want to have a close cut line around, i.e. script stickers, those little bits that show up within the letters that you don’t want the Silhouette to cut, you can just use the eraser tool on the left side panel and erase those little bits. What’s even better about the eraser tool is you can adjust the size of the eraser so it can get even the littlest lines that you might not see at first. Once all those little bits are erased, you can now just duplicate your project so you can pretty stickers hehe. Also, another thing I found recently that I am loving, when you’re in the transform panel and you want to turn something 90 degrees or 180 degrees, go the third tab on the top with the arrow shaped as a circle, and as long as you have whatever highlighted you can press the 90 degree or 180 degree button and it will rotate it perfectly for you. This has saved me so much time and frustration so I hope this helps.
Awesome tips! Like I said, I’m extremely new to designing stickers but I’ve found little things that work. Hopefully over time I’ll learn what every panel does 😂
Sara Marie, it’s just the little things that have been passed down from one creator to another that help and save time, ya know. I love helping and having a space where you can figure things out and not feel like you’re a dummy because you didn’t know. If you don’t know , you don’t know haha. I know there were times I wanted to throw the Silhouette software across the room because I couldn’t figure it out but to my surprise there’s a setting for that....haha.
Julie-Ann Jemmott, I was going to tell her that but I figured since she’s relatively new to the process that might have confused her a little, I know I was haha
LOVE THIS! Thanks! Since you cut with the different colors, can you show how you actually cut those? Do you run it through twice? Do you have different cut settings for each color? How does that work? Love your stickers and so glad your shop is doing so well! You deserve it!
One thing you can do will be to release the compound path by right clicking on the offset and then all those little sections become separate and you can delete them. This makes it so your offset can be smaller if you want it to be.
You are amazing and I loved your video. I'm new to silhouette and it's software. my husband bought me my first machine cameo 4 I excited and want to learn as much as I can. Thank you.
Great tutorial, thanks Sara. I have a Cricut, so the programme will be different, but hopefully I’ll work it out with a similar technique. The only thing I don’t think the Cricut does is cut 2 different lines (a shallow one around the text and a deeper cut to cut it from the sheet).

Hey Sara, super helpful video! I honestly found it great, that you didn't know/use the actual terminology. As a newbie, I could follow along easier that way. I have been watching a lot of different creators and tutorials, but like you said, these ladies go so fast, it is hard to follow. I'd love to see more content a la DIY, if time allows ;)
That was very helpful! Thank you so much for sharing (just subscribed because of it). Can you do a voice over where you make a kit, even if it's really minimal? Thanks again!
Hi. You probably found out what the weld does by now but if you haven't you can try this: Weld you're letters BEFORE you add the color and you'll see what it does. Thanks for the tips - great video!
If you want the cut lines to be more closer to the script you can do so and just delete the holes in the middle. So after you are good with the offset. You can select the outline and right click and tick on the “Make Compound Path” that way you the inner cuts will be separate. Although I may be confused and it can be the “Release Compound Path” but bottomline it has something to do with the compound path :) sorry I don’t have my laptop with me as of the moment but yeah. Hope this helps :)
Can't answer for her shop, but artwork/licensing is available to purchase on etsy. And you just size everything to an EC or HP whichever planner you want to design for.
Thank you for this tutorial! very helpful and thorough. I’ve had my cameo for about 6 months and I still have a lot to learn. I was wondering if you can tell me how to turn my mat white and how you can make the paper white on your mat. I’ve tried to search for a video but haven’t found anything on that.
Hello, I love your videos, I'm new to your channel and your videos are very helpful. How do you come up with your washi stickers and the layout for your tracker sticker? I've been doing research on how to stickers and your video by far is very informal and helpful. Thank you so much for making these video because I am clueless lol.
Thank you for this tutorial, I have been searching on how to do script stickers. Thinking about opening up my shop, so this is very helpful. Question, should I size my script first before I do the cut lines or can i do the cut lines first then resize?
I currently offer 8.5x11 in my March kit! Hopefully adding February soon. The 8.5 x 11 have 8.5x11 in front of the title of the kit. Hopefully that makes sense!

Stephanie Schlehuber Instead of using the eraser tool an easier way is to release the compound path and delete the little bits.

Julie-Ann Jemmott that’s what I do to remove the little bits and pieces.

Wuaw you made it so easy for me !
Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you so much. I just got a Silhouette and have struggled so much. This will help.

Oh cool! Thanks for this tip!
Love this! Are you able to show a video of the cutting side and how you cut the two colours etc!?
You are amazing and I loved your video. I'm new to silhouette and it's software. my husband bought me my first machine cameo 4
I excited and want to learn as much as I can. Thank you.
Super new, thank you for doing step by step... just got the cameo 4... hoping to make stickers in the next few days!
This is a great lesson! I needed a sort of obscure script for half-day vacation tracking. Thank you so much!!

the weld tool links your script letters together so when it cuts, it doesn't cut all of the letters seperately. 😊 hope that helps.
Since you cut with the different colors, can you show how you actually cut those? Do you have different cut settings for each color? How does that work?
It should be different settings because the red should be a kiss cut and the purple should be a regular cut.
Love this video. How do you make the sheet with like your logo and sheet name and get the stickers to cut on it ?
I would love to see how you cut both colors differently! Thank you for this video!

Also, how do you figure out the sizing for your scripts? I feel like this will be a lot of trail and error?
That was very helpful! Thank you so much for sharing (just subscribed because of it). Can you do a voice over where you make a kit, even if it's really minimal? Thanks again!
😊 can you show how to do the background sheet with the logo and apply it to the stickers?
Thank you! I so appreciate you taking the time to do this. Great Video.
Just learning my machine so this was fabulous! Thank you.

Once the middle holes are separate you can just delete them afterwards :)
How do you find/design the washi stickers you include in your kits? I love the florals!
YES!!! Where do you find all the pattern designs for your backgrounds?
Can't answer for her shop, but artwork/licensing is available to purchase on etsy. And you just size everything to an EC or HP whichever planner you want to design for.
Thank you so much for this

What sticker paper do you use?

Do you need to purchase font if you are selling in a etsy shop? Or are you able to use the fonts stored in the software to design and sell
I did but I’m not sure how basic fonts work!
Can't wait to get my order. Will you be making stickers for emergency fund and one for Christmas /gift fund?
Yes and yes! I have an on going list of script stickers that I plan to add to the shop!
@@SaraMarie YAY!!!!
Hi Sara. Thanks for the demonstration. Can you show how to print icon stickers?
I’m a new learner.but I saw that your stickers are so close to the registration lines. Is that the way they are supposed to be?
This was very helpful! Thanks so much.
How can I indicate needing 8 x 11 for the EC deluxe planner. ? Just got my order and love ur stickers.
I currently offer 8.5x11 in my March kit! Hopefully adding February soon. The 8.5 x 11 have 8.5x11 in front of the title of the kit. Hopefully that makes sense!
What sticker paper is the best for this?
This was a HUGE help. Thank you!
Love your videos! What brand of sticker paper do you use?
What paper do you use to print and cut this on?
I use removable matte sticker paper!
THE LITTLE PART WHEN MAKING THE OFFSET SMALLER JUST RELEASE COMPOUND PATH AND DELETE IT
Yes! I’ve learned that since making this video and it’s helped a ton!
Hi Sara! New sub! Wondering if you have any experience creating transparent stickers? I am trying to research what machines/ paper I need! Thank you
This was very helpful, thank you!
