For SIPP or SIOC, the costs tend to be higher in terms of volume. If your product is not fragile or is already boxed and not fragile, it's good. However, if you put a product into a box that might be twice as large, it will increase storage fees. Moreover, the benefit is minimal. For small standard items, I believe it's $0.08 per unit. Additionally, creating a custom box experience would cost about $1 to $2 per box, along with storage fees and large pallets or SPD for inbound. It's not worth it unless you're selling flat, non-fragile items.

for someoone just starting out, which approach is more effective: selling a variety of items with only one of each, or focusing on a specific niche and building a brand around single product?
I would highly recommend going with one product first. Since you're still starting out, a lot of things will be new to you which might get you overwhelmed. Having to deal with a variety of things at the same time would not be a good idea.
I know you asked Travis, but I'm backing up what he recommended purely because you're just starting out. This way if things don't work out (you need to modify the product, decide you want to make your own website etc.), you haven't sunk too much time/money into your product.
Great advice. I’m barely starting and nervous. But I have my own product and it’s a no brained to sell on Amazon fba. Just barely learning the backend of Amazon. It’s definitely not easy when new in the game.

i was wondering if is going to be an option for OA and RA to as soon as the 5 pairs of Nikes that i sent get sold, just close the listing and create a new one if i ever find the same shoes, that way i don't incur in any low quantity fees since i don't have the listing open or got out of it. please advise

Sounds like they cutting overhead by not boxing in Amazon. It's about the money not footprint. 😂😂😂😂. Plus they don't have to pay someone to box either so that's a job out the window.
Whether it's their intention or not, it's still an added advantage that would be beneificial to the environment in the long run

Amazon will be the one who will assign the warehouse where your inventory will be sent to.
I wish they can have a way of communicating with Amazon seller central.. have a phone number to speak to a representative..and not trying email after email 😢.. my store got deactivated I tried Appealing it and I get the same generic email ..

@@TravisMarziani The fact you have to have 1000 videos on how to fix problems with Amazon is proof. Most of the problems people have with FBA are bonehead problems on AMZ side. For instance all the problems with listings, fields with no explanation, etc.
Why do you sell courses for 997 bucks if you're doing 6 figures money with FBA?
