Brilliant end game with great thought process. Every single puzzle teaches you a thought process of winning which itself is the biggest learning. Thank you very much.
My goodness, I came so close. I made it right up to the end but couldn't figure out the final blow of Bc7. After beating my head against the wall a bit longer, I threw in the towel. Overall, I was encouraged by the experience.
1)Rd5 ch -- Kc7(if -- KxR ; Bb7 ch wins) 2) Rd7 ch --Kxc8 3) Rh7 wins iF 1)Rd5 ch -- Ke7;2) Bd4 ch followed by Bb7 so as to escape all pieces from threats and will win.

😅🎉🎉
Saw the first move quickly, but then it got too complicated 😢
Same
Me too! It made me realise I'm not very good at finding the waiting moves in these zugzwang positions.
😮
Likewise
Brilliant ending, thank you.
Watching these, I am learning to ALWAYS look for a Zugzwang!
You are very intelligent and clever, I will be glad to try myself on it later this day (when I get time) 😊...
Really nice study! that draw variants and different zugzwangs...!
So you've watched the video, now cue it back up to 7:45 and see if you can remember the final sequence...
Such a great study, thanks for it.

This was so simple yet beautiful...of course I didn't get it till you showed how...but it was really nice 👍👌
Great fun😊
Clever zugzwang, I went for the other check, wrong😢
😊
Nice
شكرا🎉❤
Very interesting puzzle
8:35 - 'to h7 or g7, doesn't matter' - then why don't you show the case 'to g7'?
My guess for first move was bishop to C5 check. But you didn't explore that variation. King is then forced to C6 or C7. Why will it not work?
@@MichaelDBritton The rook on d5 is hanging so the black king will take it if you play Bc5+.
Oh, woops. Not sure how I missed that! 😂

Cant black move the king to B7 after check causing both rooks to be exchanged? black would just repeat moving from B7 to C8
Zugzwang
Solved
I am not convinced that rook + bishop vs rook cannot be won.
You basically need to skewer the rook, at which point it becomes rook and bishop endgame.
Its a draw with perfect defense, but in practice its won about half the time
first
Wait until tomorrow! 😚
