Hey I just wanted to say I was at the Portland show I was the guy with the big crazy hat in VIP. I will admit I was pretty star struck so I didn’t get to actually speak to you and express how grateful I am for your existence. Your music helps me cope on a daily basis and to be quite honest has probably saved my life. I few years ago I fell asleep behind the wheel and someone I cared about very much passed away in the accident. I was lost in so many ways and then I started listening to so much of your music. When I saw the sugar shack sessions videos and heard optimism in F and all in stride they slowly but surely brought me out of my depression and got me to where I am today please don’t stop doing what you’re doing. Gonna be honest you made my wife and I cry happy tears a few times at the show. Thank you again I fucking love you guys.
I absolutely love this song! When you were in Phoenix, during the preshow VIP, I asked you to play this song, and even though you had lost your voice a bit from getting sick on the road, you still belted it out for us. Killed it! You made my year and a life long fan!
