Small Tip 4 ya: If you use the Crosbow hold "R" it opens a wheel where you can change Ammunation + craft semm without going to the Inventory. very usefull when Ark fucks you up ;)
My fix for the "can't loot body" issue is to build a pike or spear (hatchet and pick don't seem to work as well), and just poke at the body until it gets harvested. Then the bag appears and I can loot the bag just fine.
Seems to MOSTLY be issues with the water, though it has happened a few times on land as well.
