Great stuff! I would never have thought that stuff like this came out of Texas. These guys "get it".

This group was recording in San Antonio, Texas in 1958 and 1959. The lead singer is none other than Carl Henderson. He went on to record "Sharing You" in California. Last I heard he was living there. Of worthy note is that this group was another early desegregated group in Texas no less!

YES CARL HENDERSON(THE ONLY BLACK MEMBER OF THIS GROUP) SANG ON THIS RECORDING JOINING DIMAS GARCIA-ALEX PATO AND THE LEAD SINGER ON THIS RECORD 'ABEL MARTINEZ'. THEY WERE FROM SAN ANTONIO TEXAS WHO FORMED IN 1958 AND MADE THIS PARTICULAR RECORD IN 1959.

I thought this was the West coast Lyrics on The Rhythm Label,,Funny thing..Im 43 and have collected doowop since I was a young teenager,,A neighborhood friend claimed his father sang doowop with the platters, and I had purchased an album featuring the lyrics and I noticed that his father played with this group..He had an unusual last name and the resemblelance was unmistakeble..I havent seen him in a while to show him what group his father actually played with..DZ from Boston

A great version. But I wonder if that label, with the word "Harlem" and the picture of dice, might be offsensive to some black people nowadays.
