@@mrsbee5056 what? The size of a book has nothing to do with the rate at which a production company produces material. What does 1931 have to do with anything. bot?
Its not the acting that i hate. Its the story itself. I was really hoping the character rowen wasn't going to be so delusional/idiotic. But it completely ruined it for me. "Oh hes a monster get him away from me" ends up having *** with him. Runs in fear from her ancestors memories turning dark by him. Then calls on him because she wants him? Has the baby, runs because she doesn't want it. Then ends up wanting to save the baby? It was the worst ending I've ever witnessed in a show. Watching this show literally made me have to smoke 3 cigarettes just to watch it, and I don't even smoke cigarettes. That's how bad this character was. I love the actress herself, shes amazing. But the character is so freaking stupid.

@@conductor1768don’t compare the Mayfair Witches with the vampire chronicles, please. Their are different from one another, but still meet up within the Blackwood book. Also, (this may be bit off topic) they didn’t butcher the interview with the vampire. They changed it to fit in a black owner of a sex house and put it into the 1910’s setting. Also, I’ve read few of the books, even though I’m behind, it’s still sticking true to parts of the first book and with splitting it into two parts or two season.
@@sakurapablo671 as someone else has said on here they didn't stick to the source material and you prob need to read all not just a few as you said of vampire chronicles and Mayfair witches big fan for years of books and always will. I'm kind of glad because of the amount of incest and pedophilia in the books was a little too much. We all collectively forgot the Mona and Michael sex scenes especially when Mona was still in high school. And the IWTV change made sense considering how in the book Louis was the owner of a plantation which on tv wouldnt have gone over too well.
Very common in shows that tell stories set in the same universe. I believe they will use IWTV to save the show Mayfair, as is usually done in this type of universe. Right in the trailer we already notice a vampire who, if I'm not mistaken, is none other than Lestat's rat-catcher helper at the end of the 2nd season of IWTV. Also considering the potential romance between Rowan and Lestat in the books, the story has to go along that path...

I hope season 2 is better than season 1 because season 1 was not very good and I didn't understand why they were called Mayfair witches because there was barely any magic in season one. When I think of how beautiful and epic an interview of a vampire TV series is this makes me sigh.
well Mayfair books are just as epic and in-depth well thought out history that rice just dig in playfully and wonderfully to each book she clearly loved writing The opposite of the tv series they are missing so much they could embellish from one episode to the next instead they make things up or change characters altogether or leave out core other ones when they really don't need to
first season was bad, had not really much to do with the books and that guy they cast as Lasher? A goddamn disappointment. Lasher was supposed to be beautiful, seductive and charismatic and they give us the opposite
I lose interest if it takes more than 9 months to come back out and I also forget where it left off. I really don't think I'll be dredging it back up, so I'm out on season 2.
Not only are there vampires in the same universe, but Anne Rice's most famous vampires lived in New Orleans for a long time, including the Mayfairs who are mentioned in Interview with the Vampire season 1, which takes place in New Orleans about 100 years before Rowan's story... in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles books, Rowan will have a potential romance with an especially famous vampire, so they need to introduce vampires into the show, especially since the series isn't being as acclaimed as they would like and Interview with the Vampire is being one of the best shows of the year.
I read the books a long time ago, so far I am satisfied with season 1 they kept it just like in the books except for a few minor changes in characters, I am looking forward to season 2
I watched this show, the first episode was good, but then... Of course it was all cliche, and i just skipped through most of the episodes, not my cup of tea.
I keep checking and checking to see if it started yet .I CANT WAIT!!!! ❤ OMG
Would've been nice to release a date. Season one was so good. Can't wait for season two.

yes but have you seen the size of the books. 1931, they had a lot less distractions and much more time to read

love it - people just love to hate on things instead of enjoying
I desperately want to love it. I do love actrice, she is stunning but this show needs more money or people who work better on a tight budget.
I kept falling asleep during the first season
think they'll ever do a cross over with Interview with The Vampire?
That vampire it showed a flash of was one of Lestat’s fledglings I’m pretty sure
The books do

Wheres Michael, Julien and Mona
Lol, all gone or compressed into a composite 'character' - Michael and Aaron were pivotal to the story and they did away w/both of them.
Just gone. I understand inclusive rolls but they could have just made Michael black and kept him.

It this for real? There is like zero new footage on that trailer.

Just read the books.
The first book is so good. It’s the history of the family that makes it. I mean, no Oncle Julien? Michael? 🙄
FYI, y’all are NOT GOT, or TWD, to drag season two out for two years or more.
I'll probably watch it but I wont think of it as the books. They took an important character and just did away with him.
nothing like he books or the basic core anyway has been over looked
Hopefully they will fix the mess they made in season 1 and actually follow the plot of the book ....

I have no idea who thought that this 'inspired by' story and characters was a good idea cause they were wrong. This series is just wrong.

It's in the same universe as Interview with the vampire.
Rowan, Mona and Lestat all meet in Blackwood Farm.

Could anyone tell me that is too scary or not?
It's not that scary, supernatural and a little bit dark at times but not 'horror'
Where is her powers? Her spells?
There was a vampire in this! Who is that??????
The books eventually cross over.. tales of body thief n vampire armand
