Read the book! It is easy to read because Anne Rice's writing gift will draw you in like no other modern author I know. Her descriptive way of weaving a web of story will make you feel as if you are in the story yourself.

She paints all the characters so vividly, Michael, Rowan, Deidra, Charlotte, etc. Even Mona which will be difficult to watch it play out on screen because she’s a little girl, but the books are fantastic. Worth tearing your eyes and ears away from the screen and social media for a while and get lost in those books. I’ve always been an Anne Rice fan. I’ve collected at least 25 of her books for more than 20 years.

I have loved author Anne Rice ever since the book I discovered on my father‘s nightstand in 1993 at 10yrs old, that was interview with the vampire and I was fascinated. I asked if I could read the book when he was done and both of my parents had no problem with it and subsequently I got to read the other books that were in the series and from there I was hooked with her writing and started reading other books that she wrote. This series was the next I read and loved it. Between interview with the vampire being made into a series that is currently available for watching the first two episodes have been amazing FYI if anybody wants to read watch them excited to see the eight other episodes definitely didn’t expect this to come out but completely excited that it’s not even 3 1/2 months away short time to wait. Also just an FYI for anyone if you read paper books when you’re done with them instead of giving to the Goodwill or Salvation Army they go a lot further and you do get a tax deduction slip if you donate them to your local library where thousands can read them over years for free rather than you’re giving it to Goodwill for them to sell and make money off your free product and one person will buy it.
AMC is creating an "Anne Riceverse." Also, a correction--when you donate books to the library, they are not added to the collection. They go to library sales. So, still sold for money, but the money goes back to the library's programming, etc.

AMC just does what it wants, Rowen was Blonde, a neurosurgeon and smart. And Aaron Lightner? Where is he? Is someone else from the Talamasca replacing him? Michael? I mean I don't recognize this at all as far as cast goes. The aesthetic looks amazing though.

Maybe they're releasing this a few months after Interview With the Vampire so that the timelines of Anne Rice's vampires and witches' cinematic universes cross over at the right time. In the books, that would be around the 7th Vampire Chronicle (Merrick). Can't wait.
The Witching Hour was my first foray into the Anne Rice universe. I was 15, and I never looked back. I don't know how I feel about this because the Mayfair witches series is intense for the imagination much less for the screen. Translating this to the screen demands someone who can respect and execute this series to a T...This looks great, but you're touching on Taltos, dealing with the Talamasca history, Ramses the Damned, and all of that. I hope this is done right or...you'll find out.
It will be interesting how they cover some of the very dark moments of these books. Cause I had a few WTF moments reading it. LOL Anne Rice had a interesting imagination. I will miss her and her storytelling. RiP Anne

It seems like they've made some significant changes that are making it very different from the books. Random new characters. It seems like Rowan's understanding of her family and her character itself are significantly different. Why is Cortland randomly this involved? I wish I could say I was looking forward to it, but I loved the books so much I don't want to see a different story. That's going to ruin it for me.

Ms. Anne Rice is one of my top 5 authors of my era. Her amazing attention to every little detail is simply mind blowing. And as a huge fan of this brilliant womans body o fwork, I can only hope that this series will be able to touch upon the most important parts and pieces that'll eventually complete an intriguing and magical puzzle piece. At the very least, somehow be able to honor Ms. A.Rice and her "Mayfair Witches!"
I am so hesitant about being excited about this show. From the preview it seems they changed some things. I love Alexandra Dadarrio but I don’t picture her as Rowan. Rowan had blonde hair ,cold grey eyes and dark slashing eyebrows. She also had a very cool standoffish attitude and was very confident in herself. I have read this series at least 10 times over the years. It is one of my favorites. Also where is Aaron? He was integral to the story. Where is Micheal? Why is Rowan’s name listed as Feilding and not Mayfair? They had to keep the Mayfair last name. It was part of the family pact.

I'm a big fan, I 've read the trilogy 4 or 5 times ^^ Same thing for Interview with a vampire, the series... When the characters are very different from the books, it bothers me...
