In this video, you will learn all about modeling in place or using generic models. A lot of this is me talking through what I believe they are good for and not good for.
Please leave comments and questions below and I will get back to you!

I am just now FINDING this video...where was this when I needed it!? Great stuff...thank you....managed to watch this, how-to, and still meet my deadline for the week...Gracias! Question, have you ever "model-in place for a flexible linear light strip for a curve landscape? any who, great stuff!
Thanks, Mike and glad you were still able to meet the deadline! For the linear light, are you needing a single curve or a double curve? The double curve would be harder but still possible.
Great tutorial . Cheers bro.
Glad it helped!
Thanks, hope all study efficiently
Good luck!
Drafting view next 🥳
I can definitely consider that, what is it you want to know about drafting views?

How to drag to sheets
Ok thanks!
I made it but it is not etidable. I do not know the problem
Could be that it is in a design option. That always gets me.
Please make a video on how to create a title block from revit. how to create revision schedule. is it possible to add additional column on a revision schedule? how to play around if I have two scale in a title block like A1 & A3 scale. I hope you consider my comments, if you have a video already for these please give me link. cheers :)
Those are all really great ideas and have yet to to them. I will add them to my list of videos to cover!
@@ArchitectureVanguard Looking forward to it bro. :)
hey man, i have a question: let said that I just drew a rectangle on "model in place"............I chose a particular plane................cool........but then how can I copy and place the rectangle on different locations "not within the same plane".....
You can probably copy it and choose to disjoin. You might be able to do that both in the family and out of the family after copying it.
Thank you for your knowledge and your time but....please make things a lot shorter. I think everyone of us needs quick answers with less wasted time listening to extra information.
I am 2/3 in your tutorial and i have no ideea how to make a generic model. I need to know how to make before i need to know how to organise them...really. :))
I understand what you are saying, I can improve upon that. Thanks for letting me know.
Sorry about that. Organizing them is fairly simple in that it is just determining how many models should be in one model in place while keeping the names accurate. Basically, I use model in place sparingly and only where I have to.
