Mine is actually a mix of new and old at the moment. NECA 1990 Movie TMNT Donatello and WWE Ultimate Fiend. And a 1000toys Synthetic Human. And a Black Series first episode Mandalorian. And now this Iron Man.
I had finished the review before discovering that, it changed my mind so much about the poseability that I had to go back and reshoot the whole ending. It really helps a lot for those deep crouches.

Oh man! I'm a comic style Marvel legends guy myself (so no MCU style figures) but looking at this nearly had me going to the dark side. It looks amazing, you saved my wallet at the end with the size comparisons.
I just received my Threezero Ironman Patriot and I'm in love. The weight, the detail, the paint... It's all perfection. All of my other toys pale in comparison. I'm buying every figure in this line!
Yes I’ve only recently found out about the ZD Toys line of Iron Man figures and despite the 7 inch scale they make a killer hall of armor display for the price
I have been thinking about shifting my collecting focus recently. I have decided that I would be happy just collecting Imperial troopers and Mandalorians. If I was more of a Marvel collector I could definitely just collect Iron Mans (which would include characters like War Machine, Rescue, Iron Spider and Iron Heart too)

So, he's just SLIGHTLY taller than the Mezco Iron Man; it's not bad, the Mezco Tony comes up to about his shoulder or mid-jaw. I think since Mezcos are both taller (on average) AND beefier than Marvel Legends he'll look great with your collection, but you might have to fudge the posing a bit to make it work.

I think he looks great next to other Mezco Avengers like Captain America and Spider-Man, and even makes some of their figures that are a little bit too tall (like Wolverine) look more proportional by comparison. The Hulkbuster especially should fit right in, I have that one ordered as well and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
I have this and the Hulkbuster preordered. I have the Comicave mark7 that I really like so hopefully it's just as good or even better than that. I love you reviews. Keep em' coming!
Maybe the battery inserts needed a certain size to work, necessitating a larger head (and chest thickness) which caused a slightly larger figure to maintain proper scale? Biggest handwavium of Iron Man armor: Tony lives thru things that should kill him, like landings and various hits from anything. Anyone else would be pulped inside of an hour with no cushioning to protect them.
I think I am sold on this one! I was debating on whether to get this or the SH Figuarts techon armor, but I guess I am going for both. This one just looks that awesome...plus, I love 3Zero. I have their evangelion figures and they're a joy to have in my display.
Just got mine today messed with it and watched your review in case I missed something. I was very surprised in the awesomeness that is this figure and now I too cannot wait for the hulkbuster as well. This will not scale with my collection but I will keep it since it’s so epically awesome in my opinion. Great review👍🏼🤘🏼
Have never been a fan of the movie armorers, but this looks an an awesome figure no matter what armor it represents. I have the 3zero Nemesis Prime pre ordered. This made me real excited. The engineering is awesome.
To be honest, I don’t think it’s that large. You could easily make the case that the armour should be larger than a normal person with the fact that Tony Stark needs to fit in there. And when you pose it crouched/in an action pose, the size difference isn’t that apparent.
No. When Tony enters his armor the two places where his height increases are his dome and the bottom of his feet. An armor won't make your legs, torso, and arms longer
I still have my Iron Man Mandarin With Light Up Power Rings Toy Biz from 1994, and the batteries still work, I haven't changed them since they gave it to me in 1995.
This looks great, but as someone who's into 7-inch figures just as much as 6-inch I'd have nowhere for this, there's no other 7-inch scale MCU stuff, at least to my knowledge. I think this would probably look best on a flight stand for it to fit in with a 6-inch display depending on where it's placed/posed.
Not a fan of their MCu stuff but diamond select toys does mcu in 7 inch. I collect diamond select for their classic character, they usually give lots of paint apps but lack slightly in articulation.
ZD Toys has made some MCU Characters such as Iron Spider, Captain America and Hawkeye. Thing is, they are Chinese Liscenced figures and aren’t that great looking aside from the Iron Mans and Iron Spider.

Would be so picky for companies to ask for them back. It's like renting a spot at the flea market/newspaper to sell more stuff than you otherwise wouldn't if you didn't invest in those spots.
I think the scale is fine. in the movies the suit really makes him taller. he's taller than the two avenging chris'. so I think for legends it is fine but for figuarts no. I hope they do other armours. iron monger, the original 7 hall of armour but mainly mark 3 and the mark 5 would be soooo intricate. these are literally mini hot toys but I think even more complex.
@@tonyiommisg yes I know their classic ironman is around the 7 inch mark I think. because ironman had a more human thin shape you think no he can't be taller but all the height the heels and treads in the feet and just the helmet gives more height. if someone wears an ironman helmet with no other armour they look like a pop vinyl. the only reason I won't get it is that the armour is just A armour. like the og 7 if you describe them simply like "the one with the triangle" you think of the mark 6" etc. and even the mark 42 you know because it's gold, after that until endgame they were just alien looking suits which have a pinch of gold

been looking around youtube at this range as im thinking of getting some, my only nit pick is about the size too, except the other way, ive got into collecting 1/10 scale like kotobukiya and iron studios statues, i wish it was a little bit bigger, or maybe they'll fit that, i dont know. ive also been looking at the zd toys range of iron man too, not sure which to go for.
Yeah, this is definitely a standalone Iron Man. It won't fit with the 1/12 stuff but that's okay. I've got the Mafex Mk.43 for that. It'll probably look fine in the ThreeZero Hulkbuster, though it's so cool it should be displayed apart on it's own.
I was tempted but when I saw the size I skipped it - up to soemthing better comes along, my MCU Iron Man among Marvel Legends will be the Yamaguchi one next to the Mafex Iron Spider. Now I'll have to search for a new Cap that fits between Endgame look and New York Invasion.
Very cool IM. IMO this is a very underrated suit; I prefer it over the stuff seen in IW & EndGame where the suit became too CGIish and magical. I think the main flaw is the neck joint that makes it difficult to perform flying poses horizontally. The size is also kind of a shame but if ThreeZero releases more stuff then it will scale with those future products.
I think it’s a perfect 1:12 scale, if you think about it that is an actual armor that tony stark puts on so it must be big enough for a human to fit inside. Unlike the endgame armor which is nano tech so it’s slimmer.
That size really does brake my hart. But like you said the size issue will be a benefit with the hulkbuster. I wanted to get a HB but was on the fence since the 1/12 out there seem just a tad to small for my taste and the Hot toys 1/12 seems perfect (to a point) but way to expensive to just sit on a shelf.

I think this could fit in he is supposed to be 6'6 so he is a bit bigger. But I think you could squeeze it in. I agree robo but it is great, and a Fiddle figure works. Lol
I like mine. Definitely superior to any SHF, Mafex, Revoltech or Figma Iron Man. Unfortunately, I also own the Comicave Mark 43 as well. And if I didn't own that I would like this more. Still a good figure. But Comicave take the Crown in this scale.
Well, the Comicave version has the advantage of actually BEING 1/12-scale, rather than the 1/10th scale figure that was ADVERTISED as 1/12 as this guy is.

I've never owned the Comicave version myself, so I can only gauge by what I've seen in reviews, and I know those so often don't do a figure justice. This figure would frighten me to no end. I own a 12 inch knight figure, and find this a bit fiddly. But this guy...no, thanks. As great as he looks, but I want to play with my figures, not be afraid to destroy them. Looks fantastic though.

Hope threezero does a MMKI and III. This was the armor I disliked the most. With that said this still looks great. Threezero produces art.

From what I have read everything is metal apart from the hands and the arc reactor.

I can agree with the concept of the armor making him taller. But RDJ is 5'9" and sites say the Mark 43 is 6'5". Half an inch is huge in 1/12 scale.

This is my favorite iron man armour, but it's just to big.
I'm ordering these one at a time, when I can save enough $$$. Size be damned, they're getting their own diorama shelf anyways!

tbh iron man's armor was never that glossy,it was like a semi gloss surface
His ankles are a little bit weak.

The only way I can see this going with 6 inch figures if you have him flying in the air and then he won't look so tall compared to the others
This is an exquisite figure but it's about a half-inch too tall, it it were indeed 6.5 inches, as listed, instead of 7 it'd be pretty much perfect.
I think he is the same height as Mezco Iron Man at 7inches tall.
Nah Mexico's is just a slight bit under 7 inches
They need to make an Iron man figure that we can put a tony stark figure in side and not like a hulkbuster an actual iron man armor

This figure would frighten me to no end. I own a 12 inch knight figure, and find this a bit fiddly. But this guy...no, thanks. As great as he looks, but I want to play with my figures, not be afraid to destroy them. Looks fantastic though.
it's not going to break if you dont literally throw it onto walls like a toddler. I dont see anything so complicated about that it's not rocket science
I will stick with my hot toy of this figure. The hulkbuster is on order thought.
So if I swallow any parts I'll be OK
