The small tweeter sounded better my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's amazing how there are regular tweeters that can keep up with up to 8,000 watts from 2 15s even with only 87 dB efficiency and 40w rms each. I have Sony Mobile ES speakers which have 92 dB efficient 45wrms tweeters and 89 db efficient 90w mids for a 91dB average efficiency, the snares, rasps, and vocals sound very clean, if I waited a little longer and paid a 100 bucks more I could've gotten the 3 way mobile ES for the fronts for even clearer vocals. They can keep up with a serious amount of subwoofer before the sound starts to get muddy. If I had the money and were to do it all over again, I'd get an XS lithium battery, aftermarket alt, run 00 gauge wire for big 3 and main amp power and ground, distribution blocks, a stealth mounted amp rack, Delta 120mm server fans to cool the amps, fan controller, Audiofrog 3 way active fronts and 2 way passive rears, likely still go with Fi car audio for subs but it would be 2 instead of 1, and other things to do it proper for an SQL system. Beat the block with some bass-heavy deep house music with those solid SQ speakers blaring at 110ish decibels and subs ground pounding at the 140s decibels.

My Springfield brother I run Crescendo FT-1 super tweeters I like them. They bring out the vocals in a song instead of getting straight up bass

Nothing beats my soft dome Recoil tweeters. Sound is flawless. Just add more of them if you’re deaf 🤣🤣

Thanks for the comparison. I'll stay with the regular tweeters as my system is a more traditional setup. I think the super tweeters are for those with more ambition than myself. Also, I believe directional placement is even more key for the super tweeters, but that could just be my ears messing with me.

Have the mid run from 5000 Hertz down to 100hz or higher run the Tweeter 4,000 Hertz up on a 12 or 18db xover or dsp that's just my opinion that's why we love this everybody got their own way that's better

I'll be honest I love soft Dome tweeters I don't like the tweeters that bright I want to hear more mid horn tweeters make your ears bleed and they're only good for outdoors when you're like 50 100 ft away

Big tweeter to me was playing too bright for the full range driver...the small is smooth but the projection would take over with a 3" driver

yea i ran a set of 3s with that tweeter in my build, still running the 3s for now, but soon, they may be just dummies. time will tell

You ever considering using horn speaker drivers....think they play high voice ranges that would compliment the big tweeters

The regular tweet with cross over did sound to bad a all with out one at a higher volume most likely would blow the super tweeter would most likely be able to handle extra power a lot better but it also sounds like it plays with a higher pitch to it . To me it depends on the build style if looking for a simple clean sound and not trying to be ridiculous load id go component. If going for a big build and looking for louder then average id go super tweeter dsp multiple mids and super tweeters 💯👍✌️

exactly, DSP can make perfect sound, but it cant make higher safe power handling

Between JBL ULTIMATE and SONY TOWER ULT 10 which has better components? I’m awaiting your reply. Thanks!
