I''m a fan of Edge in JD, though after leaving they didn't lose their edge in a figurative sense, but I liked his suits, I liked being called sheep, I liked the throne going down the ramp entrance, I liked how JD had a bit of Brood-y vibes with Edge.
@@tzvikrasner6073 I’d be happy if they kept the new bloodline story going for a couple of years, the new members deserve some screen time and the contracts they got with WWE after a great run in various other companies over the years. Hopefully Roman won’t be reintroduced too soon but comes back when inevitably the Uso’s end up taking on Solo’s group and have nobody else to help them.
Honestly I loved Big time becks. Also Edge is one of those figures that probably won't ever get jeered again just because we know how amazing it is that he's doing this at all. Which is a shame really because heel Edge Circe 2006/07 was FIRE!
It wasn't for WWE, but Sting's heel turn in 1999 was so, so bad, and so, so strange. No one bought into him as a bad guy, and given we're talking dying-days WCW, the writing certainly wasn't there either.
It may have been a failure in the business sense, but Austin as a heel was so damn entertaining with how protective and paranoid he was over anyone but him being near Vince, to having his wife bake cookies for his boss, to all the hugging and all the bickering with Angle. Also Rikishi was kind of the inverse of the Vince monster heel formula. Usually its after being a dominant monster heel that someone gets turned into a smiling, dancing babyface, but Rikishi was already over as a dancing babyface when they turned him heel and tried to make him a monster heel, except he couldn't beat Austin and he couldn't beat The Rock and he couldn't beat Undertaker, so then he got injured and came back as a smiling, dancing babyface again, but it was never quite the same. Ambrose turning heel after the feel-good moment of him and Rollins winning the Tag Titles the night Roman announced his leukemia had returned was great in itself, but the aftermath ruined it, though him wearing a gas mask and getting vaccinated could've worked better if it happened in 2020 lol
Tbh. Heel Judgement Day Edge would've worked, it just never get off the ground. The Judgement Day only got off the ground, cause it was able to spread it's legs, and really progress. Edge was cut after a small stint in it. So we don't know how the long term would've gone.
I think the biggest missed opportunity in AEW was the Dark Order. Making them all corporate and stuff took a lot away from Brodies mystique. He became a boss instead of a mysterious dark presence.
Okay. I'm completely baffled. How was the scalded dog heel run by Chris Jericho not on this list? The crowd had gotten their dearest wish to see a megaheel creatively ground into the dirt. And somehow instead of humbling him, it made him worse? That run was probably the worst story-wise in Jericho's entire career
no.10, rumor has it vince pushed for bryan to be screwed by hbk. but shawn was adamant, "if this doesnt lead to a match, it is pointless." so a s compromise and to get bryan his heat back. he had bryan attack him and put him in the yes lock.
Heel Stone Cold worked until Triple H got injured, the Two Man Power Trip were legitimately intimidating. The 2nd heel turn during Invasion is what sucked
The worse things about the Regal turn? A) It was SO easy to think of other reasons why he'd attack Mox and betray the BCC, like "they've taken me for granted," or "Mr. Friedman offered an amount of money only a fool like Moxley wouldn't say yes too(which, by the way, would've also strengthened MJF as a heel who more-or-less bought the title)," rather than "teaching a lesson" to guys who had by and large been in the biz for over a decade; and B) after allegedly teaching the lads not to trust anyone, the schmucks still seemingly TRUST EACH OTHER! Why would these guys-all of whom have been particularly hurt by Tony Khan's moronic "faces and heels personas don't matter" booking edict-still look out for each other when the faction's founder and grand pooh bah himself said it's not a big deal if you stab someone in the back? Dumb!
I loved AEW to start, i watched a match and saw slow reactions and as a fan could telegraph a move being set up, not just set up like a pile driver where you know the process or a stunner after a gut kick or suplex from the top rope that needs setting up. They were simple actions like stopping like it was a re start. Then i noticed how they import stars and don't build them up. Other than MJF being catapulted to stardom the rest had big followings in the indies. Tony needs to watch the demise of TNA and the NWA closely, he is showing us why fans don['tg call the shots
That Dean Ambrose turn could have been perfect. If they LOST the tag team match that night. Also they would have needed better writing after the fact...
I was summerslam 2021 and the year long heel run was done as well as it could be. With that stated I would have preferred it explained better than it was
5:43 I'll be honest: I just don't buy a babyface Cody. Dashing/Undashing was always the best Cody, and seeing how Cody won't ever turn heel means that will probably always be my favorite variation of Cody
Does the whole damn arena still go "WHOA-OH!" during his entrance music? (I don't watch a lot, I genuinely don't know) Probably a decent barometer of if he'll ever turn again.
And never got booed; they agreed with him about Hogan. Hilariously, Hogan and Bischoff (as well as Dixie and Jarrett, who were also on screen at the time) thought they would be sympathetic babyfaces against Sting in 2010 as well, in their and Russo's TNA. It didn't work (again 🤣🤣), and was retconned into a heel turn for Hulk, Bischoff and Jarrett...

I know this video is about WWF/WWE but the weirdest heel turn I've ever seen was in WCW. The turn was by Hacksaw Jim Duggan when he joined Team Canada . I thought I was going mad or seeing things .
Look how well joining AEW worked out Adam Copeland, he now has nice new fractured tibia and is out for a longtime. He should have stuck with WWE the only reason he went to AEW is to work with Christian cage.
