Swift Sport is properly under rated. Drives like it's on rails and is almost bullet proof mechanically.

Working in a Suzuki garage I can second this, we have very little issue with any generation of the swift sport and even when we do have the occasional issue the parts are quite cheap, would strongly recommend if after a fun little go kart

I have one and it's a decent car. Not great handling, but it's quiet on long journeys, comfortable, decent ride and it's pretty punchy in a straight line. If Kia weighted the steering correctly, the proceed GT would be an absolute hit.

The facelift 208 GTI (2015 onwards) along with the BPS/30th versions had upgrades on the engine increasing the power to 205bhp, improving the 0-60 time to just 6.5s. The facelift is also considered to be much more reliable.

I had a 2016 208 GTI as my first car, I chose it over the VXR and the ST as at the time insurance was cheaper, tax was cheaper than the VXR, the inside was probably the nicest of the 3. it also had a brand new alloy instead of a runner with a pilot sport 4 which came in handy when I accidently took in down a logging route on the isle of mull. Still have a soft spot for them!

3:46 seat ibiza cupra engine is sound, its the limited edition bocanegra engine which is the pre facelift version that has the engine prone to blowing. had my cupra tuned to 240/250 bhpish (yet to dyno) and its been sound, still can get 60 mpg as well as having a close4 to 6 sec 0-60. surprises the hell out of others on the road when it gaps them, too much fun

The F56 Mini Cooper S along side with the swift sport is one of the most reliable cars on this list. The B48 engine is virtually bulletproof in terms of both reliability and durability. Idk if this is true or not, but I read in a forum somewhere (could be reddit) that someone lost compression on their F56 due to a shitty tune, so they tried to blow the engine up by holding it at the rev limiter, they said they held it continuously at the rev limiter for 35 minutes, until the exhaust pipe was glowing yellow. The last 15 mins had the oil drained completely and it still wouldn't die. Anyways, they installed a brand new motor and found a different tuner and they are pushing 300whp with no issues.

5 years ago I got my Polo GTI, it's worth more now with 70,000 miles on it than I paid for it with 27,000 miles ! ! (Dealer prices), it has had a new water pump and rear shocks..... On Advan's it's properly driftable and grips like crazy. Thankfully I get 40 mpg which my 2002 STi halved even if "grandad mode" was fully engaged, but that's double the power.... Mine is the perfect fun "bus to work" and I'd only swap for a Yaris 4WD.

I'll take a Punto Evo, Fiesta ST or 208 GTi over a Lamborghini every day of the week. Haven't driven a Ferrari yet, will bother at some point, I feel like it'll just make me want another Porsche.
Video description says all NA, I feel like that may not entirely be true 😁
2 weeks into replacing a Porsche with a Peugeot, the group B style turbo lag (and antilag) has not gotten boring. If I can get the 4 things fixed that were broken when I bought the car, then it doesn't blow up the engine in the next year (boost is unlikely to drop below 2.5 bar very often). These smaller ones are best, if the 308 wasn't lighter than a Fiesta, it wouldn't be half as good.

For the the choice would be the Alfa Mito QV, love the look of them and they are cheap to run. Currently looking for a normal Mito for my first car
My second would be the Peugeot 208 gti as by the time that prince engine was put in that car, it was mostly sorted, not perfect but definitely better than the earlier versions.

The Mito is cheap to run, but reliability is still definitely an Alfa issue - I looked at a Giulia QV earlier this month (bought a 308 GTi instead, incidentally) and the reliability put me off. I say reliability, really the issue is the dealer network is AWFUL. Alfas don't necessarily break more than other cars, but I literally couldn't find a garage within 150 miles that I would trust to fix any QV properly.
The 208 GTi is a lot of fun, but as above I just bought a 308 GTi so may be slightly biased. That said, I don't like it because I have one, I have one because I like it- could have bought many things, chose the Pug because turbo lag followed by lift-off oversteer is just fun and Pug are in their own league for that stuff.

@@ApothecaryTerry congrats on the 308, they are awesome cars and absolute weapons on a good b road and yeah I totally agree with the Alfa thing, their reliability seems to be very up and down from car to car and the dealer network is horrendous. Luckily with the MiTo, they seem to be decent at least with reliability and most regular garages are able to service them but that still leaves me a little weary.
Also wanted to mention the 308 gti is my second dream hot hatch, second only to the Hyundai i30 coz I absolutely love the way they look and sound.

@@kennyd7667 The 308 is mad- the i30N is a "better" car, it's got far less flaws. I've driven a few of them though, they're more fun than most hot hatches but the 308 is just crazy...not in a Type-R "good" way, more in a group B "oh f*** that turbo lag nearly killed me" way, which I find hilarious 😁 Edit: Also the 308 is lighter than a Fiesta ST, which is crazy- and means it's genuinely efficient. All the 2.0L hatches put me off simply because they used more fuel than my 3.4L Cayman.
My old boss had a Mito Veloce which I drove a few times. Like the 308, flawed but fun - and I'll take that over "good" every time. Sadly, it was the only car I've seen since my '98 Punto that breaks more often than it brakes...
