Realy nice video though, just have a question: all the footages has been colour graded in the post or straight from the camera? Which settings did you use: colour, brightness and sharpness on 0? What is the recording time on it? Or no restrictions because it’s mirrorless? And last but not least -still happy with the camera, any issues so far?
Nothing has been graded, everything is straight out of the camera (it is only cut in video editor), therefore, all the setting were set to "0". The recording limit depends on the country in which the camera is sold (in Europe, it is usually 29min59s because of the import laws). I do not have the camera now, I am only testing it for a short period of time.
Great video, I was on the fence to replace my Sony RX100IV (terrible ergonomics, no touch screen) with the G5X but not anymore. The way the touch AF works in video mode alone was convincing enough. Just a question: for the videos did you use default color profiles or did some grading?
I've been looking for a good, lower priced backup camera to replace my Olympus XZ-2 that I can easily carry around. Thank you for this helpful and good quality review!
There are more focusing modes. Basically, it focuses where the AF points are. So, it changes focus if you tap at the screen or if the object in the scene under the AF point moves away.
Between 6:20 and 6:50 did you use tap to focus?
Yes, I did. It is also written in the subtitles :-)

Nice footage, especially the creatures!
I've been considering this camera for ages, your video has just made my mind up for me!!! Great footage! Thank you! 😊😊👍🏽😁
excellent video tests, you've more or less sold me on this camera! thanks!!!
I bought it three days ago and so far so good. If only the battery had little longer life!
Will this camera auto focus while filming if you hold something up to the lens? Or do you have to tap to focus on the subject?
