Wasim Zkhan bhai, Absolutely right. Rafi sahab was exceptionally talented and beyond compare. Genius composer of the 1940's and the, 50's , late S. Mohinder sahab ( Guzra hua zamana, aata nahi dobara, hafiz khuda tumhara fame) once said that it was Rafi sahab, who introduced " Character specific voice modulation " in playback singing for the first time in the world. He has sung in almost all the languages of the world, including English. Rafi sahab is called farishta by his loving fans all over the world. Cutting across religious lines, people listen to his " O duniya ke rakhwale " , " Parvar digar-e-aalam, tera he hai sahara" . Rafi sahab's club dance number " Jaan pehchaan ho, jeena aasan ho" was used verbatim in English movies. Rafi sahab's repertoire is so huge that it is impossible for anyone even to attempt to match his class, quality, and versatility. Nevertheless, in the last four decades, young singers have come forward to carry the legacy of Rafi sahab, forward. We have to encourage these singers whole heartedly, that's what you have done precisely. It all started with Anwar sahab sounding like Rafi sahab in " Hamse ka bhool hui" and " Kasme apni jaan ki khaye chale gaye" in the 70,s. This was followed suit by Shabbir Kumar ji, Mohammad Aziz sahab, Sonu Nigam ji, Anil Bajpai ji and many others. Now we have Saurav Kishan ji here and Khalid Baig sahab in Pakistan. Both these singers are immensely talented and are trying their best to do justice to Rafi sahab's songs. I have heard Khalid Baig Sahab singing Lata ji's " Lag ja gale ke phir ye haseen raat ho na ho" and Mukesh ji's " Kahin door jab din dhal jaaye" exceptionally well. Both Khalid Baig sahab and Saurav Kishan ji have huge fan following across the globe. Music connects people, cutting across all the barriers. Lots of love from India.

Saurav has sung that Tamil song very beautifully as well. Basically I'm very fluent in Urdu, Tamil and Hindi languages and usually when a keralite person sings Tamil songs, we can easily find out the singer's origins from his accent such as yesudas. But this guy sang that Tamil song perfectly except in one place " KANDEDUTHTHA" which has Malayalam accent although Tamil and Malayalam are like sister languages. Keep it up young man. Rafi Saab's blessings are upon you and you can't go wrong.
